So my big question is, I have no heartburn, no burning in my esophagus, nothing like that, I just have a really bad stomach ache in my upper stomach area, can this really all be cause by an ulcer? Sometimes it aches so much it's hard to straighten up. It is often relived by sitting and reclining in a chair. It is also sometimes relived by eating. And sometimes can almost go away 100% for 3 or 4 days but then it comes back with a vengeance.
The GERD is still present and so I have been taking Pepcid on and off, but now I have a dull ache right under my left breast in the area of what is possibly my stomach. I would like any info anyone can provide about symptoms of ulcers.
Ibuprofen may cause strong gastritis, even ulcer. Any acid, which comes into contact with an ulcer, causes pain. Wine is basically an acid.
To make an exact diagnosis (gastritis or ulcer...), gastroscopy would be needed - this was already done?

For a month now I have had a dull stomach ache that is around my navel area. (Center of abdomen) one day a very sharp burning pain. Doc put me on nexium 40mg for 10 days and 20mg for 20 days. No relief after 3 weeks of meds. I have no heartburn and have been eating very bland. The pain seems to subside after I eat. I had my gallbladder removed about 4 years ago. Please help.
I have all the symptoms of an ulcer, but I was told by my Dr. that if it was a stomach ulcer, it would be higher up. She gave me something to take for ulcers and I'm going to try it. I don't know what else it could be! I do notice when I take TUMS or drink milk, it does help make the pain go away. I do have a dull ache on the left side in the ab area when my tummy isn't hurting anymore. Anyhow, Just thought I'd post this in case anyone has any idea.
I was told by tests i have a haital hernia ,ulcer on my ephosagus and damage tissues on my lung from smoking the question is i'm having pain on my left side that feels like an dull ache in my chest is this my heart on could it be because of my ulcer can the conditions get worse that i have and cause this pain.I stop smoking 10yrs ago.
Hello i am a 21 year old women and just recently every time i drink, regardless of the amount, i have a horrible stomach ache and feel the need to vomit. The pain starts are my first or second beer and doesn't stop until the next morning. I have never had this problem before and have been drinking for a few years. I was wondering why this is happening to me?
Other possibilities are gall bladder disease, or gallstones, liver abscesses, disorders of esophagus; penetrating ulcer in stomach, pancreas, and frozen shoulder is a common cause for stiffness and pain in shoulder. This could also be a sign of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Consult an orthopaedician for assessment and a physician if there are no bony or cartilaginous causes found. Hope this helps. In november2016, i had constipation, bloating, acid reflux. Having bad stomach ache i was admitted and diagnosed with infective ulceritis. Started medication. But condition wasnt improving. In april2017, had colonoscopy done. Found terminal illeal ulcer. After the medications, condition wasnt improving. Severe constipation, acid reflux. I have consulted numerous doctors. Some have told me to live with this my entire life. Nobody clearly giving the name of disease.
Could this be a sign of gerd or something worse. I have discomfort in my stomach all the time it never goes away get gets better with antacids but does not go completly away. Sometimes I get heart burn with it but usually it is in my upper/middle abdomen. It is a burning feeling, I was put on a medication for ulcers, it just basically coats my stomach when I eat but that isn't helping so I didn't know if it would still be an ulcer. I have just never had a stomach ache for this long.

A complete clinical examination and work up is very important for accurate diagnosis and treatment of your condition. What are the other symptoms you have been having with this stomach ache? Do you also have diarrhea and constipation? If there is any diarrhea associated with this pain then it could be due to bowel infections or viral gastroenteritis.
As said above, when my stomach is noticeably sensitive. A little hard to explain. Sort of a irritating, stuck feeling with this gnawing anxious provoking irritation in my stomach lining. It always happens when I forget to not drink a cup of coffee in the morning and that little bit of acid or caffeine sets it off and keeps me real nervous and worrisome or irritable, as if a fight or flight syndrome was in effect with too much adrenalin on board in the body.
t play football for a longtime, when playing or running, I will feel a very tiring ache in my stomach, which I will need to rest and fart before it would go away. I later discovered am having ulcer and I start using omeprazole to suppress it. Am confused about my whole digestive system. Anyone has a clue about what could be happening to me?
A couple days ago I had really horrible heartburn, I took some alka-seltzer for it and it eventually went away but even after it went away I've had a really bad stomach ache remaining and after anything I eat i feel nauseous and have thrown up a couple times as well. About 3 months ago I was violently sick on an empty stomach and after that started getting stomach pains, I felt like I had damaged something during the vomiting. I was diagnosed with gastritis and tried ppis which didn't help, then some homeopathic remedies and now on high strength Zantac which helps a little. I pretty much have a moderate stomach pain all the time which gets worse with any irritating food so I have been sticking to a bland diet.
m lactose intolerant/gluten intolerant, but these are the same type of pains. I feel the pain in my upper tract (just above my stomach) and then in my stomach and down into my intestines. It hurts the most when I drink or eat, so needless to say i haven't eaten much in the past 3 days. I've never experienced this before and I wonder if all the stress I've put myself under over this HIV thing has caused me to get an ulcer or something.
Sounds like gastritis (inflamed stomach lining). My mother had severe GERD/LPR/painful gastritis. When I read low stomach acid is the main reason for acid reflux conditions, I took her off acid blocker nexium and started her on betaine HCL with pepsin to increase stomach acid and digestive enzymes to improve digestion as well. It was by accident actually that we found out betaine HCL with pepsin supplements and digestive enzyme supplements got rid of gastritis pain as well GERD/LPR.
Since August have had dull ache beneath right ribs and also in abdomen 3” below ribs, tends to not always be in the same spot. Discomfort rather than overt pain.
Previously suffered dull ache beneath right ribs(c.2008) and had diagnostic tests, including blood and ultrasound images. Results negative. Recent LFT results negative.

The amount of food I can eat is restricted as when my stomach stretches it aggravates the abdominal ache.
The mouth has being examined by both doctors and one doctor have told me that the ulcer which apperaes is not a STD related ulcer thats due to stomach acid relfex has coming to the throght & sore thought & ulcer is because of that also i have give Vitmin B12 for coted toungh, the other doc has informed that there can be a tooth which is ticking in to the toungh that has caused the ulcer, now i am confused with two reply.
also does ulcers take normaly long time to cure,?
