Type a blood diet success stories

Common Questions and Answers about Type a blood diet success stories

Avatar f tn I do consider my thyroid treatment a success, although my recovery is not dramatic at all. It's taken me a couple of years, and a doctor, who like Stella, I thought was going to kill me; but THANKS to Stella -- I was able to put a stop to it and get the tests I really needed. I'm currently doing much better with the thyroid issue, but getting one thing under control brought up other issues.............symptoms that *I* thought were thyroid related, I'm now finding are NOT.
Avatar f tn First of all let me just say, that the majority of people on this forum are not the success stories. We are often the ones who have had many issues regarding our thyroids and either can not tolerate the medication, or have other issues. You certainly won't see the people who are doing well on here. It's only the ones who need to feel supported who come on here. For example, I had a Partial in May 2007. My sister in law had a total thryoidectomy, also in May 2007.
Avatar m tn My Boston dr. took blood for a study, but hasn't done very much else since. Along the same lines, I had had really bad insommnia and tossing and turning from the riba for the last three months. I tried Benedryl, but that stopped working so my PA prescribed trazodone (an AD). I've been taking 50 mgs (theraputic AD dose is 150 mg) almost every night to counter the riba "speed." It really helps to sleep. Anyone know about stopping it?
Avatar n tn I've not been on metformin but have read many success stories from it. I don't know what your financial situation is, but injectables are very $$. I have hear up to $3000, ouch. For myself, I will exhaust the less $ methods b4 the big $ ones.
Avatar n tn You see, in case you didn't know, it's not just a 500 calorie a day diet, it's a very specific 500 calories a day. There may be some doctors at certain clinics who have tweaked the program a bit and had success, but they are doctors and know what the heck they are doing. I'm not a doc, I can't tweak the program like a doc can so I'll be following the Simeons protocol to the letter. Here's hoping.
200220 tn?1361955154 It isn't easy committing yourself to a protocol that takes so long and makes you feel worse. The success stories (especially the interviews Amy did on the bacteriality.com website) are amazing ! This protocol is even successfully treating patients who have rheumatoid arthritis. Good luck with your journey ! If you have any questions, feel free to zap me a private message. I can try to answer them.

Avatar n tn No joke, it has taken me 3 months, to lose 3 stinkin' pounds. I started at a 1200 calorie diet and dropped down to a 900 and work out (kickboxing class) 3 times a week (for an hour) and sweat my BUTT and yet I still managed to gain weight!!! I really don't eat meat so I wonder if this is my problem. I will eat chicken when I do this diet but not real happy about it. I just don't like meat.
256349 tn?1189759437 I'm a little down about losing only 3lbs in 5 days! Maybe this diet in protien-dependent! NO one out there is a veggie I guess. I bought a hemp protien powder which I'll mix with h2o. Try that tomorrow.Meanwhile its egg whites and spinach for dinner! Yippy!
251922 tn?1193786078 I'm here!! Ok, so maybe we can start by posting our progress so far on SIMEONS? I am down 15.2 lbs in 22 days...have had great progress up until about 3 days ago where I've had NO loss, very weird, although I haven't "cleaned out" in a WEEK!. Doing an apple day today, hoping for some success tomorrow! This is getting discouraging!
Avatar m tn Gluten Free low sugar diet got me stable without meds after years of Manic ups and downs, suicidal and insomnia. I also gave up dairy and it worked. You also have to eat lots of fruits and veggies and take a good fish oil Omega 3 high dose daily. The change is gradual but permanent. Research Wheat Gluten and psychosis.
521895 tn?1212597611 I'm curious to hear stories of successes and complications from being a type 1 diabetic and also being pregnant. I'm not worried about GETTING pregnant, but I am a little worried about my brittle type 1 diabetes and the extreme swings - I go from high to low very quickly and vice versa - it's extremely difficult to stay in range even on a strict diet and insulin pump. When it comes time for me to get pregnant, what do I have to worry about?
Avatar n tn I already know that I will have success as I am so comitted to this system 100%, nutritional diet and excersice I know will play a crucial role in my success or others, if you don't do it to the T, then I don't believe the results will show.
12832842 tn?1448732401 Being things are so mild, and I'm turning 46 this year, I want to manage this with a paleo type diet/ vitamins/ excercise/ stress reduction. Isn't it possible with reducing food items that can cause inflamation prevent progression as well? Has there been any success stories with a more natural approach? I'm really struggling and I meet with the neurologist in 2 weeks. He of course wants to treat. He's very sweet, but I know he's pro drugs. Like most doctors. Any advise? Thx so much.
Avatar n tn Has anyone here tried managing moods without pharmaceuticals? Any success stories? Please do NOT respond to this if you work for or on behalf of a pharmaceutical company.
Avatar n tn I went to the doctor for some blood work...they told me the results were abnormal. I then went for a Blood pregnancy test and glory be to GOD!!!!!! I am pregnant!!!! I am about to be a mother. I have no fear that the pregnancy wont complete or miscarry or anything because GOD is in control....God said if you delight yourself in HIM...he will give you the desires of your heart....pray, pray, pray...use common sense, take your meds and believe on Jesus...I pray you good luck and baby blessings...
163305 tn?1333672171 And that is not the best insurance there is to boot! - There is a 20% copay! My daughter tells me all kinds of horror stories about the inadequate care they get, and misdiagnosed symtoms is not uncommon.. I am not saying one is better than the other - I am just saying that I have lived with both and they both have problems - But in Canada you do not worry about how you will afford to take your babies to the Doctor..
Avatar n tn I believe when we stick to treating HCV as a liver disease while using the currnts meds; we may have a greater chance for success. When people think combo tx is going to help their arthritis, depression, etc; they may find the sx of the meds to make these conditions worse. The meds may also stress the body to the point of bringing on other conditions; thyriod, heart, etc. If the decision made to treat is to improve liver function then that becomes a goal we can achieve.
Avatar f tn There's also lots of people whose disease has remitted, who haven't tried the diet from direct-MS.org. So anecdotal stories aren't enough to prove that a diet works or doesn't work. All I'm saying is, don't jump on the bandwagon of every quack out there. Take care of your body, take your drugs, get plenty of rest, and exercise!
Avatar n tn Herbert Shelton are doctors who have done this with thousands of patients with all kinds of illnesses with 100% success rates. In the end we DESERVE a choice..we deserve a chance to make our own decisions..but when only a fraction of the information is being given how can one really call that a choice??? Enjoy your day...make small changes and share your voice with others!
Avatar n tn The success rates are best for non-type 1's,females,non-chirrosis,and those who tolerated the prior tx well. Here are a few articles I looked up about it for you..... http://www.hepcassoc.org/news/article79.html http://www.hepcassoc.org/news/news.html http://janis7hepc.com/hepatitis_c_research22.htm#chc%20patients http://janis7hepc.com/hepatitis_c_research22.htm#nonresponders%20and%20relapsers http://janis7hepc.com/hepatitis_c_research23.
Avatar f tn Seems there's more and more of us lately. I wish you God speed and much, much success. And yes, the infergen did quite a number on me. Almost six months later most sides are completely gone but I've changed inside my head somehow. I feel like a stranger who has come from far away. I know I'm gonna be okay though SVR or not. And so thank you for your post and for asking after me.
Avatar n tn its not blood blisters, its a blood vessel under the skin like your vein pops and then there is a bruise for about 2 days then it goes away
Avatar n tn I'm a cuban young girl of 26 years old, caucasian type that is looking for a team or a good diagnostician online, and as I see you are social workers maybe you can help me. I'm very ill but no one knows what's happening to me. I've seen so many doctors in this week and the matter is becoming worst by the hour. I feel like dying, please gime a way to contact some doctor. I beg you. I'm alone in Kiev and noone is helping me, because they don't know.
446896 tn?1237806342 2 years later, I'm 40lbs lighter and non longer on any meds. Appears to be a success story - sorry to say it's not. I take my blood pressure ever morning and every evening 3 times in a row 2 minutes apart. The first reading is always the highest. the next two drop every time to normal or very good ranges. While I still have panic I fully know the first one is high and I know they will go down each time I hit the button. - and they do. The mind is the most powerful unit in our body.
237222 tn?1202512241 The process of iron storage in tissue is completely natural and is the body’s way of insuring enough raw materials are available to rebuild the blood supply in case of massive blood loss. The usual treatment for the condition is a schedule of blood donations that force iron out of the tissue to replace the blood lost. The schedule is usually a monthly donation until Ferritan levels have returned to normal. Once normal, the frequency is reduced to maintain the low levels.
Avatar n tn the first three were normal, and during the fourth i ejaculated blood and blood and a blood clot came out in my urine. 4 days ago i was at a strip club and had a lap dance. i was aroused and had an erection. i went to the wc and a huge clot came out followed by blood an then another clot. this occured again during urination.
1116669 tn?1269146866 Family history and genes play a large role in type 2 diabetes. Low activity level, poor diet, and excess body weight around the waist increase your risk. Some people with type 2 diabetes no longer need medicine if they lose weight and become more active. When they reach their ideal weight, their body's own insulin and a healthy diet can control their blood sugar levels.
