Avatar n tn I read on one site that red gums might be associated with type I diabetes. I am worried that his desire to drink a lot may be an early sign. My mother and brother are both diabetics, so should I be concerned? Is this genetic? He is also on the thin side but he does eat.
Avatar n tn I HAVE been diagnosed with MS. I was diagnosed about 2 1/2 years ago. I went on with these symptoms (all the ones all of you described) for probably 2 or 3 years (being called a hypocondriac (spelling?). Finally was diagnosed when I had a blind spot in my eye. That is when they did the MRI and found the plaques on my brain. Sorry may not use all the right terminology. I am currently having a lot of problems with the tingling in hands and feet and numbness.
Avatar f tn Hello, Is there anyone out there with HSV 2 orally? If so can you please describe what the symptoms would be orally? I currently have tongue irritation (my taste buds at the tip are inflamed and the edge of my tongue is irritated, also the base of my tongue feels raw and my gums around the molars are itchy)? I apologize if I sound childish I am just scared and don't have anyone I can talk to about the situation. I am going to get a test done this week.
Avatar n tn stomach pain (both sides, more recently lower abdomen), loss of appetite, nausea, sore throat with swollen red dots, aching joints, head aches, pain in armpit/groin (lymph nodes?), night sweats, fatigue, eye pain, chapped/dotted lips (small white/yellowish dots), first cold sore ever was at the beginning of this. I saw a general practitioner: gonorreah, chlamydia tests (swab from urethra and urine sample) were negative. Blood tests (1.
Avatar n tn 3) Lastly is it possible that because I have diabetes (type 1) last H1AC was 7.6 (not so good) and that I balance my own thyroid (with syntrhtoid) that I may be a late converter? I am really sorry if I repeated any question others may have asked or if I am crazy for being worried. I can't control my concern at this point, it seems to control me.
1216899 tn?1288573925 No, I have not noticed a change in blood sugar, though I sometimes think some of my symptoms are diabetes-like. I'm not a doctor but a blood sugar above 200 indicates diabetes(as do some of your symptoms); below 100 is normal depending upon how low (range - I think under 50 is hypoglycemia). It sounds as though your blood sugar is really fluctuating. Have you seen your PCP? An endocrinologist?
125112 tn?1217277462 Some of your symptoms could be attributed to hypoglycemia or diabetes. There are many things that mimic IBS and many, many more that can aggravate IBS. Since you said you've had your neck pain for over 20 years, let's just assume you are older than 21?!? :-) Schedule a colonoscopy to make sure that it is only IBS.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed 4 1/2 years with Graves disease and was very hyperthyroid. I was put on Tapezole and stayed on it until 3 months ago. I had been suffering from so many different syptoms and my Endo. thought that I was in remission from Graves and to stop the Tapezole. I have recently been diagnosed with Gastroparesis but I AM NOT hypothyroid or have diabetes. I am only taking Lipitor now. Oh, and I have been diagnosed with very low bone density but not quite osteoporosis.
Avatar f tn Are pre diagnosed diabetic spells frequent or a slow process like my dd's symptoms? Are these hypo symptoms? Can it lean toward diabetes now,or in the future?I sincerely thank you if you can maybe give me some validation about my fears or helpful insight.Hoping to hear similar stories and outcomes.
4690177 tn?1359313511 I assume you have been checked in the past so this is probably type II diabetes? It can be reversed supposedly. Check out the video Forks over Knives or the Dr. McDougall book the Starch Solution if it is type II. you may be surprised. Weight loss plays a big factor too, and the BMI. Let me know how it goes. Think whole grains no white flour etc.
Avatar n tn I seem to be in the same boat. Period is 2 days late, having multiple symptoms, and we are trying (so it would be a joy if we were and I can't stop thinking about it). I am concerned that it may have been a cyst that caused the symptoms and now the delay in my period though, because I had relatively sharp discomfort in my left side (near my ovary) that got progressively worse over a few days and the just stopped three ago. Has anyone had this happen?
568322 tn?1370169040 TLRs are transmembrane proteins expressed by cells of the innate immune system, which recognize common structures on pathogens, known as pathogen associated molecular patterns (PAMPs), and activate signaling pathways that launch immune and inflammatory responses to destroy the invaders (see attached picture). TLR 2 and 4 interact with viruses and stimulate various pro-inflammatory and antiinflammatory cytokines.

Avatar n tn The problem is sometimes those pregnancy symptoms are an awful lot like period symptoms (it's a bummer that nature works that way). But either way, I started having sore breasts and slight nausea within about a week or so after my IUI. The IUI worked and I did get pregnant... so although everyone is different, the symptoms started rather early for me. We'll cross our fingers for you and hopefully you'll have some good news in a week or so!
Avatar f tn I used to weigh an average of 145-150 now I weigh 130, and I read that type 2 you have to be over weight to get it also you gain weight with type 2. My mother was diagnosed with type 2 like 4 years ago.
Avatar m tn This appeared out of the blue in June 2012 (I say out of the blue because I don't take drugs, don't smoke, don't have diabetes, didn't have chemotherapy, and didn't take medicines for long periods of time -besides 1 week of cyprofloxacin in March 2012). I had a sexual exposure in February 2012 with bizarre symptoms exactly 2 weeks later that lead me to think on HIV (a cervical swollen lymph node, neck stiffness and then an urinary track infection), but I tested negative several times.
Avatar f tn Bleeding gums, blurred vision, Dizziness, Fatigue, Headache Schizophrenia symptoms, Nosebleeds, Numbness in feet, Weightloss (50+ lbs in 7 mos), Joint and bone pain, Muscle pain, Weakness, Type 2 diabetes mostly controlled, Anemia, and Leg and foot cramps. I do have a referral to a rheumatologist the first week of November for the joint and muscle pain. What should I ask about at the rheum. - I'm beginning to think these may not be signs of just arthritis. I'm 38 and female.

Avatar m tn Eating two slices of whole wheat bread could spike your blood sugar levels more than if you'd eat two tablespoons of pure sugar! Is wheat bad for you? Here's the quick backstory: The modern version of wheat is a far cry from the ancient plant. In fact, the newer, high-yield wheat we've been eating since the 1980s is full of genetic changes that seem to inflame our bodies, cause our guts to leak, and trigger autoimmune diseases.
Avatar f tn My wife has been suffering with excess saliva for 3 years and needs help. Her symptoms are: around 10am each day excess salvia begins - just pooring out - which she is required to swallow continuously. Around 2-3pm she begins to become nausious. Gets so bad she has to go to bed and drug herself to sleep around 7 or 8 pm. Upon waking she is fine. Next day starts all over again.

Avatar n tn I have receding gums and had a gum graft done sometime back in 2000. My gums have been fine and haven't really had any problems with sensitivity. When the temporary dentist was trying to drill my teeth down, I kept feeling the pain shoot into my gums on my #18 tooth. and I also kept feeling the cold air on my gums from the suction device. I had to keep stopping her from drilling at least 6 times and and by the time she was done, she had given me at least 7-9 shots just to try and numb me.
Avatar f tn It's ruining my life especially as I work full time and study full time and am struggling to conceive. I have been tested for diabetes, phantom pregnancy, hormone imbalance, celiac disease, infections in my digestive system and had the camera down my throat which revealed damage to my oesophagus n some reflux. I have tried several types of tablets which don't work and anti sickness drugs that dint work either. I have hardly no gums left under my two front teeth because of it.

I have gone to several different doctors that have not helped at all. I have taken premarin, clotrimazole and betamethasone diproponate cream, fluconazole, lidocane hydrochloride jelly, and clobetasol (which stung so didn't use much).

242516 tn?1368227505 If your doctor knows that your own area is experiencing an outbreak of influenza, it may be reasonable to treat with antiviral drugs, especially if your temperature is more than 100 degrees and your symptoms have lasted less than 48 hours, and you don't have pneumonia. This is because antivirals won't help if given after 2 days of symptoms. They work by stopping the spread of the virus and if you take the antiviral too late, it's too late to stop the spread, it's already happened.
Avatar n tn Hi i was diagnosed with diabetes type 2 in Sept. Several months ago I statred having a tingling in my back feels like a bug crawling up it. Then it went to shooting burning pain.
