im am addicted to this and hycodan at the same timw for about 3 years i take about a 1 1/2 to 2 ounces of tussionex a day i have drank 3 and 4 ounces in a day many times with ease thought and put any where from 2 tsp to a whole ounce in sprit and i never dont have a cup i also take klodipin i take 2 to 4 mgs a day and take at least 100mg of lortab about ten 10mgs a day but sometimes it does reach up to 20 tens a day plus the cough syrups how bad is my withdrawl for the codiene going to be i

I am hopefully going to start treatment AGAIN for tussionex withdrawal and treatment. Pray for me. Any suggestions or any other people out there like me? I am so alone.
Had all the allergy shots available on the planet (allergies to dust/dust mites) and today, I read about Tussionex. I control my blood pressure very well with Adalat once a day. I'll be seeing my GP on April 8. I pray that Tussionex (taken only 8 hours or 12 hours prior to my show/s as opposed to taking the narcotic regularly - that's scary) would be permissible for me even when taking Adalat.
I have a bottle of Tussionex since the last time i was pretty sick. It was filled may 15 2008 and Im not sure what the expiration date is on it. would it be fine to take?
hello, i have always been allergic to acetaminophen( swelling with rashes all over body)..recently was diagnosed with ITP( thrombocytopenia)adviced to stop all NSAID's forever.ineed a D&C with hysteroscopy( for a possible polyp) with twilight anesthesia..yet to be scheduled..my gyn not called yet..what options do i have? i'm scared they would put me thru local anesthesia now b'coz of all this..my pain tolerance is almost zero..
I would recommend that you take the Levaquin with dinner tonight (it is supposed to be taken with food) and then enjoy the evening with your husband so you can both monitor your symptoms. If you have the difficulty breathing again, you should go to an ER.
Also, if you are an asthmatic, you probably just need to use your inhaler on a regular basis while you get over this infection. That will help open your airways so that you can breathe better.

Last night and today, I have relapsed yet again on Tussionex. For the past two weeks, I have felt nothing but excruciating pain in my heart from so many losses. My divorce, my ex boyfriend and my recent ex boyfriend. Then, I used last night. I took a tablespoon of the tussionex and I felt numb. I felt happy. I felt like I didn't want to kill myself. So I took two teaspoons today. The pain is still nagging at the back of my head.
Both Demerol and high dose hydrocodone products like Tussionex ( a syrup with 10mgs per teaspoon) or any form with 15mgs and up are both on the verge of being in the next class of stronger opiates. Then low dose formulations of oxycodone such as Percocet where it only contains 5mgs of oxycodone and 325mgs of tylenol is often prescribed where some doctors feel that its about as potent as a higher dose of hydrocodone like Vicoprofin, tussionex, 10mg Lortabs or Norcos.

My wife just got back from Canada and bought some pills that are like Vivodene. They are Tyonol with codeine. Acetaminophen 300mg, caffine 15mg and codeine 8mg. Isn't that dose of codeine higher thatn what is a Vicodene ES of 7.5?

until I was diagnosed with arthritis in my lower back - well as luck would have it I was prescribed Vicodin with has the same crap in it as the cough medicine Tussionex had. Well long story short I have finally come to my senses and gave it all up. I can do it...but man oh man this withdrawal is really terrible....
I've been taking Fioricet with Codeine for 5 years now for my migraines and I can't even imagine my life without it. I'm only 18, started when I was 13, and I've tried so many different medications for migraine prevention and zapping the migraines when I get them. Nothing else has come close to doing what the Fioricet with Codeine does.
i dont know anything about cough meds that youve been taking but if they are codeine(opiate) based you may be in for some physical withdrawals over the next week, you will find lots of helpful advice here on how to manage them.
t hit me until after a month of tapering, that bang, I wimped out and started taking just one a day.The Valium is a life save, I had tried to taper off the Valium before the Fioricet with codeine and couldn't do it at all. Now I realize why, the fioricet with codeine has a bigger hold on me. It would have to be the first drug to get off so the anxiety won't go through the roof. It all starts out so innocently but grow to be a big problem as time goes on.
ve been given every cough suppressant from tussionex to robotussin with codine, to no avail. The cough only stops for a few hours once i'm so exhausted that i fall asleep for a few hours. I've had a CT (for elevated DDimer) and a chest xray within the past week, both clean. I'm now to the point where my normal breaths wheeze on the way in and out, and even if i try to breath through my nose, i still make wheezing. I'm clear so far as pertussis.
I've been taking a bit of codeine to help with oxy w/d (I've never had problems getting off codeine -- doesn't do anything for me), found some clonidine, and feel like a zombie. I have some valium, which helps a bit with sleep. Anyhoo, it's been a crappy withdrawal, but not as bad as the last one in rehab. Stopping the codeine tomorrow, back to work Tues., but it's still hard to walk a few blocks without sitting down. Mood is ghastly.
Thus the continuation of fiorinal w/ codeine. I use them sporadically, usually when I am faced with social situations or public speaking, etc. I also take metoprolol, diazepam 5mg - 2x daily, gababapentin 300 mg -8 a day, sumatriptan when needed, and synthroid .05 mg 1x daily. I am a walking pharmacy.
Just writing for support and suggestions. I take 6 fioricet with codeine (30 mg) a day and I usually am pretty careful not to run out but sometimes I'm late getting my script from the doctor. I was prescribed it for migraines 5 years ago. She hasn't objected to my dosage which has been steady for several years but her nurse often holds it up and it seems like every other month I have to jump hoops to get it.
