Now my problem is, the pain I was having then has returned and it's worse, i haven't been able to attend school regularly so i had to with draw.
Avatar m tn Hello, You have not mentioned your age but in premenopausal women, it is usually due to ovarian cysts, ectopic (tubal) pregnancies, benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous) tumors, endometriomas, polycystic ovaries, and tubo-ovarian abscess. In post menopausal women, it may be caused by cancer, fibroids, fibromas, diverticular abscess. Get it checked from a gynecologist to get further investigated to determine the cause.
1294692 tn?1272396869 As I stated in my previous post.... I went to the doctor visit (OBGYN April 29, 2010) and just as I assumed.... The Tubo - Ovarian Abscess is still present... The doctor still couldn't identify my left ovary which is being block by the over sized abscess... He did a pap and it had me in excruciating pain. I even had the attending nurse in tears with me.... So now he's telling me the same things my family practitioner said.
471707 tn?1207674576 The right ovary is 14.4 cm*cm*cm and the left ovary is 6.0 cm*cm*cm. The right ovary is moderately enlarged in size due to presence of a well defined clear cyst of size 19*17mm seen within it. The left ovary is mildly enlarged in size. No mass or cyst are seen in the left tubo ovarian area. CUL DE SAC: No free fluid is present.
Avatar f tn The u/s says it could be ovarian neoplasm, endometrioma, and tubo-ovarian abscess. It has taken over my right ovary and fallopian tube. Although I had an endometrial biopsy they are still saying my uterus could have hyperplasia or mass. I guess this waiting is starting to get to me.
Avatar f tn portion of ovary and fallopian tube with tubo-ovarian adhesions, benign paratubal cyst and overy with corpora albicantia and D. Adhesion removal fibrovascular tissue. My question is with the information provided was there ovaries left or just remants? In 2005 my doctor then should have removed them all. I am very conflicted with the results and that I had to have a very serious procedure. What is your opinion.
Avatar n tn My last period was in 2005. Have had close to 100 CT scans to check on the abscess/collection and each says pelvic organs unremarkable. Gynecologist wants to rpt. u/s in 3 mos.
Avatar f tn I am going into the hospital on Sunday for a laparoscopy to drain what they believe is a tubo-ovarian abscess. They may also possibly remove things - ovary, tube, uterus or even portion of the bowel - if they find they're involved, making this even more invasive. I am currently ill from this abscess and running a fever, so maybe not totally coherent, forgive me.
Avatar m tn My new partner and I always used a condom (have had 5 distinct partners in my life, and used a condom every time except the 2 above) and I have always used a condom in my life except for that incident in may where I did something terribly stupid. My new gf in Jul ended up in the ER with a tubo-ovarian abscess/PID after sex although it was FULLY protected sex.
Avatar n tn t go into all of the details but basically after almost a month of stomach pain, nausea, loss of appetite, fatigue, etc. it was discovered by way of CT scan and transvaginal ultrasound that I have an abscess on my right ovary due to a ruptured ovarian cyst. They put me on a seven day cycle of two strong antibiotics and said I should be feeling better within a few days. The thing is tomorrow will be my last day of being on the antibiotics and I'm still not feeling great.

11453382 tn?1418352659 Earlier this year I fell incredibly ill with a ruptured tubo-ovarian cyst in my right ovary. The cyst had become infected, burst and caused my body to go into septic shock. I made a recovery, after having a laparotomy to remove the now useless ovary. I was induced into a coma for six days too to help my body recover as my organs began to fail. Now, 10 months on, I'm finding myself in constant pain.

Avatar f tn He ran a CT scan that afternoon and they saw what they thought was an abscess on my right ovary. He got me to the GYN immediately Friday. She said she is not sure if it is a abscess or a cyst on my right ovary. Gave me some antibiotics and I am scheduled for an ultrasound today at 1:45 and dr visit at 3:30. I had a hysterectomy approx. 6 years ago but she left my ovaries because I was young. I found out at the visit on Friday that during the hyst. that she got rid of a cyst on the same ovary.
Avatar m tn I had the same pain Nov last year. My doctor suspected ovarian cysts but the ultrasound came back clear. He said it was probably a pulled muscle and left it at that. I now have the same pain back in almost the same spot. I am lightheaded, and think i have indigestion or naseau as well. Sick of being curlesup round a hot water bottle all week (which doesnt help much) i went to another doctor. Im not pregnant.
Avatar f tn I went home and then saw my primary doc two days later because the pain was still there. She told me I probably had an ovarian cyst and sent me on my way. Three days later the pain was just as bad so I returned to her where she sent me in for an ultrasound that showed a cyst on my left side, but so small it shouldn't have been causing the pain. She then referred me to a surgeon to perform exploratory surgery.
Avatar f tn s where it all started. The abscess I got on the first spot on my breast lasted for 9 months (I had maybe 4 recurrence) but it healed on its own without taking any antibiotics or creams. After a few weeks, I noticed that I have a growing abscess 1 inch away from the old spot and I have somehow a similar "abscess" forming 5 inches above my vagina (near where the pubic hairs are).
Avatar m tn when you have a prolapse and find a abscess down there do they bleed and could it be cancer
