Hi there. I started taking Tri-Previfem (orthotricyclen generic) last Wednesday for my insanely heavy periods, and at first I felt fine. But starting yesterday (saturday) I have extreme fatigue, pain in the right side of my neck, hot flashes, headaches, nausea with acid reflux, and a general feeling of not being "right" if that makes sense. I had a pretty bad cold that ended last Monday, I was in bed for days.
I have been on birth control for 6-7 years, about a month or 2 ago i was switched from ortho lo to a generic (tri-previfem), I have been having issues with weight gain and bloating. Could this be caused by the birth control? I exercise daily and still have problems with losing weight. I dont know what to do?
I'm taking tri-previfem it's a generic for sprintec.
I took Tri-Sprintec (which is the same thing as Trinessa) for 3 years and my period almost always came on Wednesday of my inactive week (I was a Sunday start so Wednesday was the 4th day of the inactive pill week). Once or twice it came on Tuesday.
It is because it take a few days after the last active pill for your progesterone levels to level out and trigger your period.
I have been on trinessa for 4 weeks now. I am on the Sunday start pills. I started the first Sunday of July. My last period started the first Saturday of July. I've been taking my pills at the same time daily. I've been having protective sex always, and the guy never releases in me. Even though he wears a condom, he always pulls out before he has to ejaculate. I am now on the 5th day of my 4th week pills (I started Sunday). I still haven't started my period.

So many names for birth controls...) for years now, but have had issues with breakthrough bleeding as of the last few months. Thus, my doctor, who is also my GYN, prescribed a different brand. On Sunday the 21st of December I began Lomedia Fe with iron pills for the last few days of my AF. Now, I'm also on the generic of Lamictal, which is Lamotrigine.
t bleed before or after, just during. I have been on the pill (Trinessa) for about 2-3 years now, have had regular gyno visits that come out normal and I still bleed. We can have sex one time and not bleed and have it again later on and I'd bleed then or vice versa. It doesn't happen all the time and I've tried to see if each time I bleed, it's because we do a certain thing, but I don't think this is the case. Any ideas as to why this could be happening?
i was on the shot for 3 months, my period was acting up. it took me 3 months to get back on it. i just started the trinessa birth control pill a month ago but i feel nauseated, i take it everyday and i am a week late. am i pregnant or is it the pill playing mind games with me?
I am currently on trinessa and have been for a couple of years. A few weeks ago I was on flagyl for bacterial vaginosis. I continued to take my birth control throughout at the same time every day and did not miss a pill. 11 days after I was off the antibiotics I did have sexual intercourse. Like I said, I continued to take my birth control as normal, and he withdrew before ejaculating. I also had been off the antibiotic for over a week. I am just concerned on my risk of pregnancy.

Hello! Sorry this is long, but here is my story... I have a couple questions. I have always had painful and irregular periods. This past July, I went to my family doctor after fainting, vomiting, and having severe abdominal pain. My Dr. had to go deliver a baby, so I lied in the room in horrible pain for a couple hours; when he finally came back in, the pain was gone. He did a pelvic ultrasound a couple days later and found fluid, which led to a diagnosis of a ruptured ovarian cyst.
And also will our little mishap have caused us to get of again? She is also currently taking cephalexin for her cold and trinessa for birth control.... please help with any information you might have, thanks...
I started my period(bleeding) around the 25 or 27th of may. I started taking Trinessa on the 10th of may. I have been having protected sex for a while now(even though we are both tested). But I had unprotected sex 3 times last night, 2 times were pullouts and the 3rd time was not. Within a period of 2-3 hours. Could i get pregnant?

Ok im on birth control (trinessa) but while on my period the green pills i dont take them and while visiting my daughters dad we had sex used no protection cuz im on the pill but i should be ovulating right now and i missed taking a pill today.
Not too long ago insurance switched me to trinessa. The first month of those I bled after intercourse when I still had one active pill left. It's been probably 3 month since the switch now. I take it around same time every day not exact. But it's my blank pills week and I have not been having my normal period. There is not much of a flow, it's mainly when I wipe.
If so, you could check in with the doctor, or a pharmacist, or just the FAQs questions for Trinessa. If they really are just placebos or vitamins [in some bcps, the five "break" pills are just iron tablets] and not progesterone, they shouldn't affect you when you go back on the white pills, even if you took them at the same time as two of the white pills.
I am currently on TriNessa birth control and this is my 2nd month of being on the pill. I have a vacation planned in about 2 weeks and the timing lines up perfectly with when I am supposed to be on the 7 sugar pills. This means I will have my period during my vacation.
I REALLY want to avoid this. Is it okay for me to skip the 7 sugar pills and go straight to taking a new pack of birth control, therefore skipping my period?
Im taking TriNessa birth control and i was just wondering if the pills(or birth control pills in general) can make you have an extremely light periods or make you only have spotting or no period at all?
my last period was really light and normally my periods are extremely heavy and have been till my last couple of periods. this time, i just spotted a bit and there's light blood when i wipe when going to the restroom maybe its too soon to tell but its worrying me just a lil.
I stopped taking the trinessa pill and now I'm spotting brownish can that be a sign of pregnacy ?? Or period I had missed two pills during the time I took the birth control and had unprotected sex.. I don't know if to wait to get a period or test ??
