Avatar f tn I have a similar situation, but I am not worried about getting pregnant at this time. I am on my first month of Trinessa Low. I am on day 2 of the placebo pills. I am thinking of only taking 5 placebo pills the next two months in hopes that my period will come a few days early in August (so I can be blood free on my vacation). I am also playing with the idea of only taking 6 of the lowest dose of pills the first week for the next cycle.
Avatar f tn I skipped the placebos and started taking the white pills of a new pack last Friday. However, I was already spotting that Friday and I have continued to bleed everyday since then. It has now been a week, I am on the light blue pills, and I'm still bleeding!!! Usually, when I wait a week before starting a new pack I only bleed for 3 or 4 days. The bleeding has been light, but its never been this long while I've been on the pill.
Avatar n tn I have been on trinessa for 4 weeks now. I am on the Sunday start pills. I started the first Sunday of July. My last period started the first Saturday of July. I've been taking my pills at the same time daily. I've been having protective sex always, and the guy never releases in me. Even though he wears a condom, he always pulls out before he has to ejaculate. I am now on the 5th day of my 4th week pills (I started Sunday). I still haven't started my period.

Avatar f tn Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex Saturday and Sunday. I've been on birth control for about 3 years and this month I only took two weeks of the pill and started right to my placebo pills this week after we had sex. I'm wondering if because I skipped to my placebo pills a week early will that cause me too ovulate and get pregnant? I'm kind of freaking out.
Avatar m tn I am currently on TriNessa birth control and this is my 2nd month of being on the pill. I have a vacation planned in about 2 weeks and the timing lines up perfectly with when I am supposed to be on the 7 sugar pills. This means I will have my period during my vacation. I REALLY want to avoid this. Is it okay for me to skip the 7 sugar pills and go straight to taking a new pack of birth control, therefore skipping my period?
Avatar f tn Im due November 1st and really debating if i should get that or get back on my trinessa pills. Not planning on getting pregnant for a few more years or at all after this baby.
Avatar n tn I am on trinessa. It is my first month on birth control ever and usually my periods are about 19-25 days apart. I am on my 3rd day of the inactive pills right now and have still not gotten my period. I originally went on birth control because my periods are so irregular and to protect myself against pregnancy. I took a pregnancy test two days ago just to settle my nerves and it came back negative. I still have not gotten it though.
Avatar m tn My birth control is Trinessa.
Avatar f tn t affect you when you go back on the white pills, even if you took them at the same time as two of the white pills. That would suggest that you're having breakthrough bleeding, which would itself suggest you aren't protected this month and should be talking to your doctor about dosage.
Avatar f tn Ok im on birth control (trinessa) but while on my period the green pills i dont take them and while visiting my daughters dad we had sex used no protection cuz im on the pill but i should be ovulating right now and i missed taking a pill today.
Avatar f tn If you're pregnant, you are not going to have a period (even if it's during the placebo pills). If you are really worried about being pregnant, I suggest you take a pregnancy test before starting a new pack.
Avatar f tn Hey I had a couple questions my girlfriend is late on her period and is on birth control with TriNessa lo and takes the pills she didn’t receive her period yet and is on 5th inactive pill she’ll take a pill late sometimes but folllow up with 2 pills if she misses one from previous daywhat are the chances she is pregnant ?
Avatar f tn Not too long ago insurance switched me to trinessa. The first month of those I bled after intercourse when I still had one active pill left. It's been probably 3 month since the switch now. I take it around same time every day not exact. But it's my blank pills week and I have not been having my normal period. There is not much of a flow, it's mainly when I wipe.
Avatar f tn she was given a shot of an antibiotic and 2 500mg pills of azithromycin, and I was given one gram of zithromax powder... we took our prescriptions about five days ago and now we are enjoying some spring break vacation and couldn't resist each other.... sooo we decided to go at it with a condom.... well to our luck it busted and we did not realize it til we were done...
Avatar f tn I took Trinessa for 7 days, was not on it before, was very nausea so stopped, experienced immediatly possible breakthrough bleeding for 12 long days, now 22 days later waiting on a period when will it come? Also had sex with boyfriend on and off the first 3 days on the pill, unprotected. I guess I am wanting to know when will my period start again and is there any chance of a pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Im taking TriNessa birth control and i was just wondering if the pills(or birth control pills in general) can make you have an extremely light periods or make you only have spotting or no period at all? my last period was really light and normally my periods are extremely heavy and have been till my last couple of periods. this time, i just spotted a bit and there's light blood when i wipe when going to the restroom maybe its too soon to tell but its worrying me just a lil.
Avatar f tn I am on Trinessa birth control pills. I was wondering if I could use my birth control pills to start my period about a week early, only because my boy friend is coming home from the military the week that I am supposed to start my period and I don't really want this to happen. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I've been taking sprintec birth control for about 2 years now. I usually skip the placebos to delay bleeding/period, so have withdrawal bleeding every three months or so. When breakthrough bleeding begins, I'll take placebo pills and stop taking the active pills (recommended by doctor) for the few bleeding days and then return to active pills when bleeding stops. However, I started withdrawal bleeding last Monday but kept taking active pills because I was distracted.
Avatar n tn Hello, my girlfriend takes birth control where the last 7 days contain placebo pills. She usually gets her withdrawl bleed on that Tuesday or Wednesday. Also a day before that she gets ovarian and back pain as a sign. This month she got ovarian and back pain on the last day of active pills. She is now in the placebo week and should get her withdrawal bleed soon What is going on as she hasn't started her placebo pills yet, but still got that ovarian pains/cramps?
Avatar f tn Hi ive been on birth control consistently for 4 years and always skip the placebo pills and start a new pack to avoid my period. But i missed an active pill Saturday, took it on Sunday, but couldn't take Sunday and Mondays pill until Tuesday if i had unprotected sex should i be worried about pregnancy?
Avatar f tn I am now having the typical placebo week bleeding between the 2nd and 3rd weeks of the active pills, with not even as much as spotting during the placebo week. I know that I am supposed to be protected during the placebo week even with no bleeding, but here is my question. I am reasonably certain that I ovulated during my placebo week this month (prior to BC, I always had painful ovulation).
Avatar n tn I would say you do have a higher chance of getting pregnant during the placebo week than you normally would since this is your first month on the pill. The placebo week is meant to keep you on track with your pills. During the placebo week is when you are supposed to be menstruating. If you didnt m enstruate during that time you could possibly have ovulated. Even while you are on the pill I would recommend using a condom also...pills are not 100% effective.
999058 tn?1257563650 I started my new pack of Trinessa last Sunday. I didn't take Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday as the alarm set on my phone failed to go off and it totally slipped my mind, yes I know, my bad. during those days, don't recall when exactly, I had unprotected sex, maybe a couple of times. About 4 to 5 days later, my fiance and I had intercourse again and afterward, when I went to use the restroom, there was pinkish spotting on the toilet paper. This is new for me.
9648 tn?1290091207 To FlGuy: The blue pills have been eclipsed by the Blue Pills and that is categorical. To Cando: Wish I could tell you, dear Cando, but I really don't know.
Avatar f tn Missing placebo pills doesn't matter. The placebo part means they're completely inactive. As for missing a single pill, read your package insert (you can find it online if you threw it out) to see what it says about missed pills and whether you need backup. Even pills taken perfectly can fail, so if it's a week past when you should have gotten a period, you might want to take a test just in case, although most pills say take a test if you have two missed periods in a row.
