Avatar n tn I am on trinessa. It is my first month on birth control ever and usually my periods are about 19-25 days apart. I am on my 3rd day of the inactive pills right now and have still not gotten my period. I originally went on birth control because my periods are so irregular and to protect myself against pregnancy. I took a pregnancy test two days ago just to settle my nerves and it came back negative. I still have not gotten it though.
Avatar f tn Hello! Sorry this is long, but here is my story... I have a couple questions. I have always had painful and irregular periods. This past July, I went to my family doctor after fainting, vomiting, and having severe abdominal pain. My Dr. had to go deliver a baby, so I lied in the room in horrible pain for a couple hours; when he finally came back in, the pain was gone. He did a pelvic ultrasound a couple days later and found fluid, which led to a diagnosis of a ruptured ovarian cyst.
Avatar f tn Birth control is another useful option to have regular periods. My favorite birth control pill were the Trinessa 28s. They were super gentle on my body and even kept the acne at bay much better than other pills I tried in the past.
Avatar f tn There is a very high risk of pregnancy .It is best to wait for a month or so for your periods to regularize and then start a suitable birth control method. A visit to a gynecologist for discussion on the most appropriate method will be helpful. If you do not get your periods in a week or so it is suggested to take up pregnancy test. A urine/blood test for determining HCG levels may be done. This is only an advice and not a substitute for clinical examination.
Avatar f tn Not a great idea, but doable. A better idea might be to start a completely new pack the week before he gets home. You might bleed a bit from the drop in hormone levels, since you're on a triphasic pill, but you should be bleeding free and protected when he gets home. If you plan on needing to skip periods, you should consider getting a monophasic pill. With those, you can just start a new pack after 3 weeks (don't take the reminder pills), and not get your period.
Avatar n tn My first period after starting Trinessa was late. In fact, I wondered if I was pg again and my son was just a few months old! I want to say it started on the last pill that it started. Since then, it seems to start around day 4 or 5 or the last week of pills, but that first month was weird.
Avatar f tn Now my causing says that the name brand has pink pills insted of green ( the last 7 pills ) and it spins to dispence every pill, and trinessa you have to punch trough the bottom to get the pills... Now I just want to know how the name brand of ortho tri cyclen really looks like, if anyone can provide a pic would be very helpful ...... Please I don't need anyone making fun of me here so for anyone that thinks this is just too stupid please don't post anything here ...
Avatar m tn My birth control is Trinessa.
Avatar f tn Everyone is different, but I'd just like to say I did the depo shot and it was terrible. A lot of women tell me they've had a similar experience. Talk to your Dr, but I dont suggest it!
Avatar f tn I am currently on trinessa and have been for a couple of years. A few weeks ago I was on flagyl for bacterial vaginosis. I continued to take my birth control throughout at the same time every day and did not miss a pill. 11 days after I was off the antibiotics I did have sexual intercourse. Like I said, I continued to take my birth control as normal, and he withdrew before ejaculating. I also had been off the antibiotic for over a week. I am just concerned on my risk of pregnancy.
Avatar n tn i was on the shot for 3 months, my period was acting up. it took me 3 months to get back on it. i just started the trinessa birth control pill a month ago but i feel nauseated, i take it everyday and i am a week late. am i pregnant or is it the pill playing mind games with me?
Avatar f tn For the last 3-4 months, I've had bleeding that lasts from 3-4 weeks, sometimes even longer. It will stop for about a week or two then come back. I recently went to the doctor for my yearly exam, explained this to her and she feels that what I have is PCOS. So, she put me on birth control. In the past, I've been on birth control due to my irregular periods. Currently, I've been bleeding for 5 weeks and I've been on the BCP Trinessa for a week and 2 days.
18026835 tn?1462471175 I'm 21 years old and have been on Trinessa for about 2 months. With the first month, my period was scheduled to start halfway through my pill cycle and instead I just spotted a little. And today I am spotting again and I'm not supposed to start for another 3 weeks. I'm very nervous and I don't want to be pregnant since it won't be my fiancée's and I don't want to deal with a baby from that awful situation....
Avatar f tn ve been reading many old posts on here and just wanted to ask this question... I was originally on TriNessa and have not taken it for approximately two months now. the day before yesterday, after Intercourse with my husband i noticed some light brown spotting when cleaning up. Avatar f tn My new doctor upped my dose and put me on higher hormones, taking Trinessa. The bleeding is regulated to 10 days. Cramping is still pretty debilitating, but only for about 5-6 of those days. However, my migraines are becoming more and more frequent over the last 3 years that I've been on this birth control. They hit me hard and interfere with work. Would voluntary sterilization or endometrial ablation be a better option for my situation?
Avatar f tn Im just kinda stressing out cuz this is the first time having sex while on the pill and then i missed taking one and idk of ill get pregnant cuz of it but i just had a baby 6 months ago and idk what id do if i got pregnant again so soon
Avatar f tn I'm 24 years old. Been on birth control since 9th grade. Not too long ago insurance switched me to trinessa. The first month of those I bled after intercourse when I still had one active pill left. It's been probably 3 month since the switch now. I take it around same time every day not exact. But it's my blank pills week and I have not been having my normal period. There is not much of a flow, it's mainly when I wipe.
Avatar m tn I am currently on TriNessa birth control and this is my 2nd month of being on the pill. I have a vacation planned in about 2 weeks and the timing lines up perfectly with when I am supposed to be on the 7 sugar pills. This means I will have my period during my vacation. I REALLY want to avoid this. Is it okay for me to skip the 7 sugar pills and go straight to taking a new pack of birth control, therefore skipping my period?
Avatar f tn Im scared there is something wrong but Im only 15 and scared to death of the gyno. I wont go unless I have to. Im on Trinessa birth control and accidently missed two pills in a row a week after I had sex with my boyfriend. We used a condom and I had taken my pills before sex. Well a week after sex I started my period early and its lasting for what seems like forever. Please help. Ive looked everywhere.
