I am on trinessa. It is my first month on birth control ever and usually my periods are about 19-25 days apart. I am on my 3rd day of the inactive pills right now and have still not gotten my period. I originally went on birth control because my periods are so irregular and to protect myself against pregnancy. I took a pregnancy test two days ago just to settle my nerves and it came back negative. I still have not gotten it though.
Hello! Sorry this is long, but here is my story... I have a couple questions. I have always had painful and irregular periods. This past July, I went to my family doctor after fainting, vomiting, and having severe abdominal pain. My Dr. had to go deliver a baby, so I lied in the room in horrible pain for a couple hours; when he finally came back in, the pain was gone. He did a pelvic ultrasound a couple days later and found fluid, which led to a diagnosis of a ruptured ovarian cyst.
There is a very high risk of pregnancy .It is best to wait for a month or so for your periods to regularize and then start a suitable birth control method. A visit to a gynecologist for discussion on the most appropriate method will be helpful. If you do not get your periods in a week or so it is suggested to take up pregnancy test. A urine/blood test for determining HCG levels may be done. This is only an advice and not a substitute for clinical examination.
Not a great idea, but doable. A better idea might be to start a completely new pack the week before he gets home. You might bleed a bit from the drop in hormone levels, since you're on a triphasic pill, but you should be bleeding free and protected when he gets home. If you plan on needing to skip periods, you should consider getting a monophasic pill. With those, you can just start a new pack after 3 weeks (don't take the reminder pills), and not get your period.
Now my causing says that the name brand has pink pills insted of green ( the last 7 pills ) and it spins to dispence every pill, and trinessa you have to punch trough the bottom to get the pills... Now I just want to know how the name brand of ortho tri cyclen really looks like, if anyone can provide a pic would be very helpful ...... Please I don't need anyone making fun of me here so for anyone that thinks this is just too stupid please don't post anything here ...
Everyone is different, but I'd just like to say I did the depo shot and it was terrible. A lot of women tell me they've had a similar experience. Talk to your Dr, but I dont suggest it!
I am currently on trinessa and have been for a couple of years. A few weeks ago I was on flagyl for bacterial vaginosis. I continued to take my birth control throughout at the same time every day and did not miss a pill. 11 days after I was off the antibiotics I did have sexual intercourse. Like I said, I continued to take my birth control as normal, and he withdrew before ejaculating. I also had been off the antibiotic for over a week. I am just concerned on my risk of pregnancy.

Hey I had a couple questions my girlfriend is late on her period and is on birth control with TriNessa lo and takes the pills she didn’t receive her period yet and is on 5th inactive pill she’ll take a pill late sometimes but folllow up with 2 pills if she misses one from previous daywhat are the chances she is pregnant ?
My new doctor upped my dose and put me on higher hormones, taking Trinessa. The bleeding is regulated to 10 days. Cramping is still pretty debilitating, but only for about 5-6 of those days. However, my migraines are becoming more and more frequent over the last 3 years that I've been on this birth control. They hit me hard and interfere with work.
Would voluntary sterilization or endometrial ablation be a better option for my situation?
I'm 24 years old. Been on birth control since 9th grade. Not too long ago insurance switched me to trinessa. The first month of those I bled after intercourse when I still had one active pill left. It's been probably 3 month since the switch now. I take it around same time every day not exact. But it's my blank pills week and I have not been having my normal period. There is not much of a flow, it's mainly when I wipe.
I am currently on TriNessa birth control and this is my 2nd month of being on the pill. I have a vacation planned in about 2 weeks and the timing lines up perfectly with when I am supposed to be on the 7 sugar pills. This means I will have my period during my vacation.
I REALLY want to avoid this. Is it okay for me to skip the 7 sugar pills and go straight to taking a new pack of birth control, therefore skipping my period?
Im scared there is something wrong but Im only 15 and scared to death of the gyno. I wont go unless I have to. Im on Trinessa birth control and accidently missed two pills in a row a week after I had sex with my boyfriend. We used a condom and I had taken my pills before sex. that is what happens be for and after you have your baby and your period i had that happen to me and when i went to the doctor they said that it was old blood that was from my period but if that still happens go to the doctor and see what they tell you tell them that you have that problem and take a pg test to see if you are pleas let me now how it go"s k.
