Avatar m tn Thanks for responding. I am aware of its purpose, however l have used it for 3 years and it stops the bumps from appearing. As soon as l get tingling, l start to use it and l do not get an outbreak. I am just healing on a lesion that l did not use it on. I have had this lesion for 8weeks and on valtrex the past 2.
Avatar n tn This is a steriod used for psorasis or dermatitis. My daughter uses it. It must really burn. Call the pharmacist in your area and find out what to do. Children do not get yeast infections.
Avatar f tn t get diagnosed but by using the medication and seeing which ones helped to clear the rash, i decided it is ringworm. I used Triamcinolone acetonide on it for the first day. After I stopped, it grew twice as big. So you were right to say that the steroids would make ringworm worse. So after the first day I used lotrimin and it still grew. It's been four days of me putting it on the whole day and it's drying up.
Avatar f tn If you just want something to add some color, you could try self tanning lotions. But, if it were my child I might take him to another dermatologist for a second opinion. If you are still in the military, I know how difficult "on post or Tri-care" providers can be sometimes. Just be persistent and make demands not requests, it is their job to care of you properly!
Avatar m tn Now my doctor has advised using Triamcinolone Acetonide cream on the rash twice a day, but after 5 days still no success. Has anyone had a similar problem and found what the solution to curing it was??? Thanks for your help!
Avatar m tn I have read somewhere that steroid might delay antibodies production of HIV making the test result not accurate. In this case is Triamcinolone Acetonide. However, my guess is that Muco-Aid probably has low or very low Triamcinolone Acetonide with 0.1%w/v that should not have any affect on body's immune system nor hiding the HIV antibodies. But, I'm not a chemist or doctor. So, I need your advice. 1. Did the Muco-Aid lotion affect my HIV Test? 2.
Avatar f tn i thought they were scars they were all over where my circumcision was done (around the head).... i used it to treat a rash my dermatologist gave it to me for..... i was freaking out thinking they were scars..... whatever your a doctor and seem pretty smart..... so i will trust you and assume it is not scarring..... the rash has almost cleared but still pink around my pubic hair and thighs.... unfortunately the cream did discolour the head of my penis somewhat to a white patch....
Avatar m tn I noticed a small difference of it getting better, but it is not gone. Every once in a while I feel a sharp pain there. What should I do? I am willing to do anything to get rid of this. Should I keep putting the nystatin triamcinolone acetonide on? I would appreciate your input.
Avatar f tn I’ve had what appears to be balanitis for 8 months now. I’m uncircumcised. I’ve tried ketoconaznole, triamcinolone, hydrocortisone, nystatin& triamcinolone. Also used basic lotions etc. basically nothing has worked. The most recent dermatologist I saw said that I have balanitis that turned into dermal hyper sensitivity/ a sensitized skin. He prescribed desonide ointment that didn’t work and also prednisone. Gave me some epiceram cream as well.
1415174 tn?1453243103 I thought it was eczema because I have that at times. So I put Triamcinolone topical steroid on it and it felt a little less itchy. But the next day it started to get bigger then at the end of the day my ankles are swelling some. I iced it a couple of times and put more steroids ointment. I am self isolating due to Corona virus and don't want to go in. I have had a similar delayed hypersensitivity in the past and am allergic to a number of topicals. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn Hello, As I was going through your post, the differentials that came to my mind were eczema and contact dermatitis. It does not look like a fungal infection. If triamcinolone which is a highly potent steroid is causing you discomfort you can talk to your dermatologist and get yourself prescribed low potency steroid like hydrocortisone. You should also wear cotton undergarments and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. Hope it helps. Take care and regards.
177275 tn?1511755244 The FDA previously warned of adverse events associated with a compounded triamcinolone and moxifloxacin product for intravitreal injection, and of two serious adverse eventsassociated with a compounded curcumin emulsion product for injection that was being used for various conditions. More information about today's announcement is available on the FDA website.
Avatar f tn Mine is on my lower arm between the wrist and elbow and also a little above the elbow. As a rule it is not itchy, but at night especially it can get itchy for a bit. I can usually take a benedryl and sleep so I am not sure if the benedryl stops the itching or just helps me sleep so I don't feel it. I know when it first started I did use a moisturizing cream and it did help.
Avatar f tn When you can't sleep from the withdrawals, I've been told that Trazadone is a good choice for sleep because it isn't a controlled substance, etc. What is the story with this medication?
Avatar f tn m freaking out. I have been using triamcinolone acetonide for two days now it this is what it looks like. I don't smoke, I don't drink or do drugs. It seems to be getting smaller but now it's starting to bleed...
Avatar f tn Occasionally I will get red or dry spots and only on the tip and shaft of my penis. If a woman were to see or fee it she would assume it is an STD. Are there any specific things such as a laundry detergent that could be causing it? Any treatments aside from Triamcinolone?
Avatar m tn Hello, Triamcinolone is a high potency steroid and should be used with caution on the delicate and thin skin of penis. Instead you should use milder steroids such as 1% OTC hydrocortisone and prescription hydrocortisone with iodoquinol creams. Also useful in this area are Protopic and Elidel. Please discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist.
