Since then I have been to the doctor monthly for a dexamethasone shot and either a prednisone or a methylprednisolone course. My (3rd) family doctor want me to see a pulmonologist but I swear its not my lungs. I have been told, bronchitis, reactive airway disease and asthma but nothing for sure just "possibly". I will give you the run down..
Seems a few of my issues are focused in that area.I read that there is a whole separate issue of MS-brainstem vs MS-general, regarding diagnoses... Curious how this translates in people's symptoms and dx. Will get full report of tests (BAER) next week.

Visual diagnosis 3 years ago as plaque psoriasis in the genital area and prescribed Triamcinolone cream 1%. When I felt itchy, I began using the cream immediately. Within a week to 2 weeks of using a small amount of the cream daily my skin healed. Unfortunately it would recur within about a month. Visited derm dr. recently and he diagnosed as herpes. I have not used the cream and have had a lot of pain and outbreak in the same 2 sites.
It stayed for a week and a half and her Primary care doctor gave her an oral steriod (methylprednisolone). a couple of days later the rash went away. 3 days after her last dose the rash has come back and is still spreading. We are getting tested but are so scared right now. No other symptome like fever or anything else that i have read about.
Can it come and go with the medicine she took?
She developed the rash aprox Dec 5th and still has it.
PLEASE PLEASE Give us any information you can.
For three months now I have been suffering tremendously and still need to go back to th doctor as the rash comes back after the Prednisone wears off. I have already contacted VS and so far, they said the are sending me an envelope for me to send them my presumably formaldehyde-poisoned bras! I would really appreciate any information on who to contact.
I received my weekly allergy shots today (8/12/11) and a doctor in the office prescribed me methylprednisolone tablets to clear up poison ivy. I am to start the methylprednisolone tomorrow, but wanted to know if it was ok to take with the allergy shots. The pharmacist I talked to was not very convincing when she said it "should" be alright.
) But how serious is an allergic reaction to triamcinolone? Or is it the combination of lidocaine and triamcinolone that caused the mess?
My neuro has given me oral methylprednisolone in tablet form to take in case of a relapse. I have requested for the tablets as I live in a third-world country and to get the IV medrol is not always accessible.
Here is my dilemma:
Each tablet is 16mg. If I get an acute relapse, I need to take 500mg per day for 5 days. This means that I will have to take approximately 31 tablets per day for 5 days (then taper down).
Have their been any studies regarding the use of methylprednisolone for the cessation of PVC's? I have significant PVC's that I feel throughout the day and evening. A few months ago I came down with a bad cold and ended up with bronchitis. I was prescribed the methylprednisolone pack and within a few days, all PVC's stopped! This lasted for two months during which time I resumed drinking two to three cups of caffeinated coffee per day.
I was prescribed Methylprednisolone (pak) and I've taken 4 out of the 6 pills in the first line so far, two per dose. It was prescribed for ear congestion. Now I'm having joint/muscle pain and muscle weakness.
Is this a normal side effect and not cause for concern? Or should I contact a doctor?
I'm 19 years old. I've had 3 ringworm outbreaks in less than a year, but I'm still not sure if it's ringworm. It always starts out with 1, 2, or 3 small red bumps. All the bumps have a white head and can be ruptured. If i scratch it or rupture the bumps by applying cream, it spreads. It is itchy, but only sometimes. But it never forms a circle. The bumps itself is in a circular form, but it is just a cluster of small raised bumps, not a ring with a clear center.
