My husband is suffering for severe burning sensation from jock itch...but not sure if it is really a jock itch since 2 weeks.Red raches has faded but the burning hasn't gone yet.He can't sleep whole day and night.He is using Triamcinolone cream usp,0.5% and also cleaning with ice water and also using moisturiser.He is suffering so much....please help.

once they are gone you will have itchy itch that you cannot scratch which is a allergic reaction. and the itch will continue for a few months. it is an itch scratch itch cycle.
ask your doctor about using prednizone, triamcinolone acetonide, luxiq, or clobbetasol creams. to help the itch after the scabies have been gone. along with the oral steroids they should give you a hydrocortiszone shot in the bum to prevent itchy along with a external scbies killing creme.

I recently went to my doctor about it, and had her look at it. She diagnosed it simply as jock itch, and suggested I get some OTC medications for it (The usual athlete's foot medications), and also gave me a prescription for Triamcinolone (which I have not had filled thinking I wouldn't need it).
The spot has not gotten any bigger by visual inspection, but it hasn't gone away either. However, my testis have also begun to itch a little bit.
My doctor diagnosed it as a yeast infection similar to jock itch. i was given nystatin/triamcinolone acetonide cream to use. It keeps the rash from getting worse but it has not gone away. my underwear causes irritation. No weeping at the site either and no odor. I do not think it is yeast but do not know what it is. Whay do you think?

I then took a trip to my GP who diagnosed it as mild jock itch and prescribed a Nystatin Triamcinolone Acetonide ointment. I asked him if the rash was just a coincidence with the oral sex and he assured me that it wasn't anything to worry about.
I have been on the Nystatin for about 2 weeks now. It keeps the rash at bay, and for all practical purposes it doesn't itch.
I realize about a day later I reoccurred Jock itch. I am not sure if I occured Jock Itch prior to sexual intercourse. Can you get HIV if you have sexual intercourse with someone who might have HIV through Jock itch. I went to the doctor a week later and all STD test came back negative as well as HIV.
Mostly likely she thought it was a fungus at the time of prescribing the antifungal cream. Without seeing it or doing a scrap of the skin to put under a microscope it's hard to tell, although with the cracking it does sounds like "jock itch" or it could possibly be folliculitis from your pubic hair and the creams just dried out the skin on the head of your penis. Is there any itching or discoloration around the areas?

Though it is called jock itch, it may not itch always. Usually a reddish rash or area of darkened or tanned skin appears on penis/scrotum/groin fold/adjacent thighs. This is often accompanied by a burning or tingling sensation.
Also the diagnosis of jock itch appears to be correct since the sensation responded to application of an antifungal and the rash has dried up and is becoming scaly. The treatment may take about 4-5 weeks to produce complete results.

I've been having on and off itch problem in my scrutum. I tried most jock itch over the counter medication but they only provide temporary relief. I noticed that when I sweat in my groin area, the itch worsens. The itch is so discomforting. I tried scabies treatment also, but no effect. Natural Tea Tree oil don't seem to cure it. Please help.

can jock itch move to your penis? i have had it for months now and can only keep it under control w powder, not get rid of it. when i have sex w/my girlfriend, afterwards my penis gets red, raw and gets little cracking in the skin right under the head of my penis, some small amount of itching. has the jock itch moved to my penis or is this something else? i might add there are no sores or anything like that. it seems to heal and only get raw after sex.

I did not mention this to the PA because I did not notice until I got home. Could it be an std? I have sex with one girl(my girlfriend) that I know does not have any diseases. It is red, is NOT itchy, and does not seem irritated until I think about it. What could this be?
