Avatar f tn Women who have a healthy hormone balance tend to enjoy their lives the most. Hormone fluctuations can result in several problems such as perimenopausal difficulties, premenstrual syndrome, mood swings, fibroids, heart disease, breast cancer, and ovarian cysts. Usually, women don’t completely meet what their bodies need—food and exercise to reduce stress and feel better. Diet, nutrition, and workout are some of the common lifestyle changes that can help women restore hormone balance.
Avatar f tn Is it ok to have sex when you got out off a hospital for hormone imbalance about 8 day and they put you on birth control or do you wait
Avatar n tn If you have a hormone imbalance, can it make your birth control less effective? I haven't been able to find much info on this but I suspect I have a hormonal imbalance due to the pill so I was wondering if that could mean the pill would be less effective against pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Hi im 18 can my GP offer a hormone test as i feel i have a hormone balance or is this something you have to buy like a kit (i also have an under active thyroid)
1134902 tn?1296066144 anywho my question is...could this be caused by a hormone imbalance brought on by my intense workout? even tho Im only spotting, Im still cramping. My family doc is booked up until the new year, so I can't see her anytime soon.
Avatar f tn m asking is that do any of you think that these symptoms could be caused by extreme hormone imbalance? No one has ever tested my hormones before. I find it weird that they all started almost a month to the day I quit birth control. Also, my period was never regular when I was younger, I matured late and would sometimes go 6 months without getting my period. I was also anorexic during high school which didn't help. But I am no longer and eat very healthy.

Avatar f tn t think I am in such a depressed situation that I need to relief. Hormonal imbalance will be fixed after my treatment, and what about fibroadenoma, that not too uncommon and not dangerous at least in my case. I just want to know different opinions of professionals not to do something in a wrong way.
Avatar f tn What you are describing sounds so much like hormone imbalance. I know there is a blood test out there (hormone related) to see how close you are to menopause. I really feel for you so don't feel alone. I go through a lot of what you are describing and I know, in my case that it is my hormones.
Avatar f tn Three months ago I had this same thing happen. I've never in my life missed a period and for weeks and weeks I kept taking an HPT with no results. At last I figured out I was having a "Phantom Pregnany" or hormone imbalance. I've been on the pill for nearly ten years, and a lot of things can cause a hormone imbalance from the water you drink to the things you eat to the pill itself, I learned.
Avatar f tn A main underlying problem with PCOS is a hormonal imbalance. In women with PCOS, the ovaries make more androgens than normal. Androgens are male hormones that females also make. High levels of these hormones affect the development and release of eggs during ovulation. Researchers also think insulin may be linked to PCOS. Insulin is a hormone that controls the change of sugar, starches, and other food into energy for the body to use or store.

Avatar n tn The pain could be also caused by medication such as the ones used for treatment of menopausal symptoms (hormone replacement therapy).Acid reflux symptoms, could also cause a burning sensation in the breast. Many women actually find relief, when it comes to breast pain, when they cut back on how much caffeine they consume (chocolate, coffee colas).
Avatar f tn The hormone imbalance results in infrequent ovulation which then results in infrequent periods. It can be difficult to get pregnant with PCOS, BUT one should not count on PCOS to prevent pregnancy--its definitely not birth control! The usual treatment for women who do not currently want pregnancy is oral contraceptive pills. These regulate your periods an prevent endometrial cancer. If you DO want a baby, you may need to consult a reproductive endocrinologist for some fertility medications.
Avatar f tn Menopause (not in your case) or hormonal imbalance due to PCOD is another reason for this. Low estrogens are supposed to be the cause. Try a diet rich in estrogens. Hormone replacement therapy can also help a few. Worms are another cause of both anal and body itch. Pubic and body lice can be another cause. I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining.
