Avatar n tn Please consult an orthopaedist and rheumatologist and discuss this possibility and start the treatment as your symptoms don’t relate to any other disorder but Fibromyalgia . Prostate problems and UTIs are more frequent in patients with Fibromyalgia . Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !

Avatar n tn These are not the same as tender points that are related to fibromyalgia. These trigger points can be extremely painful and can form in almost any muscle. The chronic form is called Myofascial Pain Syndrome (MPS) Many FMS patients have both. Do you suspect your physical activity may have something to do with your back pain?
591546 tn?1244636545 , you can find a physician in your area who frequently diagnoses and treats fibromyalgia. Many of these physicians are interested in fibromyalgia and were treating the condition long before Lyrica was available. Avatar f tn Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition characterized by widespread pain in your muscles, ligaments and tendons, as well as fatigue and multiple tender points — places on your body where slight pressure causes pain. Fibromyalgia is more common in women than in men. Previously, fibromyalgia was known by other names such as fibrositis, chronic muscle pain syndrome, psychogenic rheumatism and tension myalgias.
Avatar m tn I have had four blood clots now in the last little over five years from my APS. Anyone with any good suggestions or anything that has worked to alleviate the problem with yourself regarding this disease? Seems I barely recover from one clot and another comes along. I won't be able to handle this indefinitely. Anyone with any good suggestions.
237053 tn?1258828426 Not all rhuematologists are diagnosing and treating fibromyalgia. In fact, not too long ago.... a rheumatologist was outraged because he thought that neurologists should be handling fibromyalgia patients. I have to agree with him because fibro is a CNS (central nervous system) disorder. However... most physicians only know how to treat part of the problem and order prescriptions. The fibro/CFS experts have their recommends (which are not Lyrica) listed on our health care pages.
Avatar n tn She has struggled with being cold all the time for 8 months and now this. She usually wears three layers of clothing and we live in South Texas where it is in the high 90's . Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn Has any one information on people with fibromyalgia who got better by treating Orthostatic Intolerance?
773755 tn?1328119777 It is much more common in women, and it can be debilitating. Many conventional medical doctors do not think that fibromyalgia exists. In fact, many patients who believe they have this condition are often derided by their doctors. One reason many conventional doctors do not think fibromyalgia is a “real” condition is that no specific medication is effective for treating this illness. Some medications do help lower the symptoms of fibromyalgia.
Avatar f tn The rheumatologist that is treating me for Fibromyalgia said that is common and normal people having bursistis and tendinitis in addition to fibromyalgia. But I don't get it. I don't understand why. Since I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I've already had bilateral trochanter's bursistis, bilateral sholder's bursitis, hips' and feet's tendinitis.
Avatar f tn Trying to find a Doctor that has experience in treating fibromyalgia. Need help and so tired of living life in pain. I pray someone will see this.
Avatar f tn Your doctor will advise you to start vitamin D supplements. In fibromyalgia medicines should always be used along with exercise and behavior therapy. Medications like Duloxetione, pregabalin and Milnacipram have been approved for treating fibromyalgia. See a psychologist for conselling. Avatar f tn Would these medications take care of Strep B if I had that? Thats what I had last time in my culture, and I had UTI only 2 months ago. The catheter in the urethra sounds horribly painful!
Avatar f tn In my experience, men are extremely uncomplicated. You pick one who is a good man - has a job, acts normal, has nice friends, has a car, has a place to live outside of his parents house - and you treat him with respect and admiration, and it's all good. Men are very easy to predict.
Avatar f tn The medications they have me on are for treating fibromyalgia but they are not saying that is what I have. My pain management dr thinks it may be from my treatment so he is sending me to a rheumatologist. I have tried the tramadol but I found myself in the bathroom at work crying my eyes out, begging the pain to stop. That is why I went back to the Norcos. I work long hours in a factory and my job is very demanding. Im sorry to hear of so many suffering, but it helps to know I am not alone.
Avatar n tn My diagnosis was by my rheumatologist, who explained to me that I had over 11 of the 18 pressure points that were painful when pressed. As spacie_05 said, it hurts everywhere. There are also a lot of other symptoms that go alongside FMS, the really common ones are irritable leg syndrome, IBS, and when you wake up in the morning you feel worse than you did when you went to sleep. Many others include drug intolerance, depression, allergies, etc. etc. etc. the list goes on and on.
