I am in need of finding a better treatment for all this nausea (side effect of the triple treatment for my Hep C) and was wondering if any of you have tried the Transderm-Scop patches that you wear for 72 hours. Have tried Zofran and all it gave me was enormous headaches, now using the Phenegran but needed it every 4 hours like clockwork.....ANY opinions and information will be greatly appreciated.
I have tried antivert, valium, and the Transderm Scop patch to treat it. The patch helped for a while, but in the past few days seems to have stopped working. Also in the last few days I have had upset stomach, gas, and mild diarrhea. I have been drinking pedialite and gatorade to treat dehydration if that's what it is/prevent dehydration. I am completely at my wits end - I can't work or drive or function or do anything but lie down and not move my head or focus on anything.

I use to take mecilzine didnt work you will be fine I have de generative disc diease in my neck I had all what you said but Im still going to a doctor for my left leg numb up to my half he said it might be from wearing to tight cloths. get a second opinion.
Yes, I do get sore throats as part of my fibro symptoms, however, I also have lupus and sore throats can go along with that also, so for me, it's sometimes difficult to determined which one is causing the problem!
And yes, lack of sleep most definitely can/will aggravate fibro symptoms. It's a vicious cycle - we're not sleeping well because we are hurting and we hurt more because we are not sleeping well. UGH!
Do you take any type of sleep aid to help you sleep?
My guess would lean toward allergies or acid reflux. Both can cause you to wake up with sore throats that fade once you are up for a while.
I would suggest that you try allergy proof bedding (matress, boxsprings, and pillow covers) and keeping your rooms as dust free as possible. If this doesn't help, try some of the acid reflux life style changes. You might want to start with those since they are cheaper.

ve had this problem after taking the Transderm Scop patch and while it apparently usually does resolve itself, it can take weeks or longer to do so. I wish the pharmacist had told us about this, because I guarantee my wife would never have gone near the patch if she's know the side effects could be this bad.
Strangely, even with all this, the doctors she's seen dismiss the idea of Scopolamine withdrawal without even considering it.
Salvia! It's a herb that works wonders with sore throats. I boil some, and gargle when its lukewarm.

See if you can get a prescription called omperazole it's for heart burn and acid reflux. I just got on it because of sore throats and it's amazing. Haven't had sore throat since. Worth a shot. It's safe to take.
When I have a sore throat (which I have at the moment) I take lozenges and and pain killers. Here I am at 3am feeling really poorly with a sore throat and have just sucked some lozenges and taken some pain killers.
I have been on Effexor XR for quite a few years, and always sucked lozenges and taken cough mixtures. What happens if I do this then? I have frequent sore throats. Never thought I shouldn't do this.
s slowly getting better, about a week ago I started with the sensation I had something stuck in my throat and I assumed it was the tablets I was on -naproxen so I stopped taking them, my throatbis now quite sore and I have some small lumps in my throats the only pics I can find that look like them on the internet are lymphoid tissue in the throat pics is this serious my doctor just said for me to stay off they tablets

If you think you are the only person in the world who often had a sore throat so that proves you have a different disease then you should talk to your doc - another reason is because you claim it is 45 days which is a long time.
Has anyone that has gastricparesis tried Zelnorm? It was working for me and than they took it off the market. My doctor just suggested a drug from Canada named domperidone. Does anyone have any experience with this drug. I tried Reglan and couldn't handle the side affects. Erithamyacin made me break out in a rash. Right now I depend on Zofran for the throwing up and sometimes it doesn't help.
I had white spots and my throat was huge on both side and I had red spots at the back of my throats indicating a sore throat. Other than this , when finding out I had herpes I had no symptoms. Before I had unprotected sex , keep in mind this was during spring and I had really bad allergies even before I had unprotected sex and where I am from there are tons of trees everywhere. This includes gargling with salt water, drinking warm tea, extra fluids in general, extra rest and ibuprofen or Tylenol. But viral sore throats usually resolve on their own within 7 days, fyi. Bacterial sore throats require a trip to the doctor.
First it started with a little throat irratation, and that turned into swelling (hurts a little when i swallow) and i feel that my throat is swollen on both sides but on the outside i feel pain and a swollen little lump on the right side, which is more sore than the left. It hurts to turn my head and sometimes when i walk the pain from my neck goes into my right ear and right temple. I have not been dizzy, nor feeling nausea, but i have had regular diarrhea.
