902736 tn?1242615086 If you are ONLY withdrawing from tramadol, I doubt the ER will be able to do anything for you. And that type of withdrawal is not typically dangerous; it is uncomfortable, but not life-threatening. But if you are at risk for doing something dangerous, for example trying to drive when you are hallucinating, you should go to the hospital to protect yourself from doing something potentially harmful to you or others.

Avatar f tn I was addicted to tramadol for about 5 years, 50-60 pills a day. The withdrawals from tramadol are the worst, I personally, have ever experienced (not trying to scare you). The physical withdrawals will definitely stick with you for a while, then the mental withdrawals will hit. Maybe since you weren't on it very long they won't last as long as mine did. Please keep posting and let us know how your doing. Stay strong!!!

Avatar f tn I have been a vicodin addict for many years on and off and have now been taking tramadol 400mg daily for about 4 months with an occasional bought of a week or so of 50-80 mgs of vicodin daily. I would like to know how bad withdrawal will be at this level when compared to withdrawal coming off of 200-300 mg of vicodin which I have done in the past. I have also withdrawn from Cymbalta which was hell and lasted for over 30 days.

Avatar f tn Hi, I am a 24 year old registered nurse, and I have read all of these postings and researched tramadol, and have realized that I am addicted to it. I have recently been experiencing dizziness, a feeling like I'm coming out of my skin, diarrhea and nausea. I never would have believed it was tramadol withdrawal. I just took my normal dose of it, and my symptoms are gone, I'm taking that as a big sign of addiction.
