I a not a doctor but, I also have lower back problems, degenerated disk, herniated disk, and hep c... so far 100mg of tramadol twice a day seems to work for me, I also take hydrocodone once and a while if my pain is bad, same as lortab only 5/500.

Mine was labeled tramadol but in smalll righting it said generic for ultracet and the leaflet that came with it had the doseage of 3.75 tramadol the rest tylenol. So you are getting less tramadol.

Usually the doctor will tell you not to take any opiates 8 or so hours before your injection if they are also injecting you with something like fentanyl along with the steroid. Tramadol is technically an opioid, although synthetic, it is still considered a narcotic. Tramadol and Tylenol are not the same as Tramadol is an opioid as well as acts as an SNRI. You should google Tramadol and read about it before you take it or call your doctor.

Mine doesn't always work perfectly, but I want to hang onto it for as long as I can. I typically use ice & take ibuprofen or tylenol (sometimes with 4 low dose aspirin with the two extra strength tylenol) and phenergan.

This has happened with Demerol, Diluidid,Darvocet,Hydrocodone and Tramadol. I can take Tylenol #3 and morphine (post op in the hospital) with out any problems. Sometimes,if I take one of the itchy ones with Atarax and benadryl I'm ok for awhile, and then the itching will eventually get too bad and I will have to switch to something else. Tylenol #3 dosen"t work very well for the pain, so my PCP is always looking for something else to try.

I now have no more resources, either for more pills or money, so here I am again, getting ready to go c/t. I was wondering if you can use tramadol to get through the first 5 days without getting addicted to them. Just use them to help with sleep and RLS. Does anyone know, please help!

It has the potential for addiction because it affects neurotransmitters like seratonin and norepinepherine like other opiates. Tramadol usually has Tylenol or Ibuprofen in it an a adjunct pain reliever. What else have you tried for back pain? Tylenol and Ibuprofen are unfortunately overlooked. I would always try them first. They can be taken together safely. Ibuprofen is not recommended for long term use for people with kidney or stomach problems.

If you do not feel like you can handle this yourself I would suggest that you talk to your doctor about it. Keep posting and talking about it it seems to help.

I was involved in a car accident april 2013, and had some injuries, but was told my back showed no break. I was put on Percocet 5 ....every 6 hours, but wasn't getting enough pain relief. I constantly get a burning or ache in my spine area that is very painful! Trying to offset the pain medication (as doctors don't want to increase due to addiction).... I seem to regurally take a bottle of Tylenol 500 mg of 100 tabs per week.

The issue with amount of Norcos you take is the Tylenol. 20 a day, with the tylenol being 325 strength? That is 6500mg of tylenol a day. That is too much. I would tell your doctor nothing is working. I hope you find some relief.

I had headache big time tylenol didn´t help so I´ve got tramadol for the last 8 months on treatment. The perfect dose was two capsuels and one tylenol one or two times a day. Without the tylenol it didn´t help and one tylenol was better than two. I felt so freaking good on them but stopped as soon treatment ended. I´ve been a sober alcohol and drug addict for 22 years now, but I never have felt real good being sober it has always been like something is missing.

I'll do my best..... Here is the easiest way to look at it, (i think?) ... Percocet has tylenol in it, however, oxycodone and oxycontin are just straight percocet, no tylenol. I believe that oxycodone is the generic name for Roxicodone, which is also obviously percocet without the tylenol. Oxycontin and oxycodone are the same thing, EXCEPT oxycodone is a quick release tablet, and oxycontin is a slow release of the same med. Hydrocodone is the ingredient in Vicodin and Lortab.

Tylenol #3 with the codeine is a little easier withdrawal than the percs...

t think), IS highly addictive. I have been on one-month regimes in the past with Tramadol, and the withdrawal, after only ONE MONTH, was awful! Now, I've been on them for 15 months and the withdrawal I know I will face is scaring me almost into unconsciousness! I kid you not~~MDs touted this drug as almost nothing more than super-charged Tylenol. Believe me, it is FAR more powerful and as I understand it, the w/d is worse than Codeine, Vicodin, or Percocet. Be extremely cautious.

I have been taking 50mg Tramadol four times a day for about a year. I've found that I don't have side effects, whereas my friend who takes it does have bad headaches and a little nausea. For me, the efficacy of the tramadol has waned, and I'm now thinking I need more to get the desired effect. I'd rather go on something else entirely than take more tramadol. So sorry you're feeling bad. I think it does affect people differently. Maybe it's just not for oyu.

I have a very addictive personality and have been using different drugs over the past 4 yrs (percocet, lortab, tylenol with codeine, fioricet with codeine, etc), just to give you guys an idea of how long this has been going on. I have only been taking the Tramadol for about 6 months (no other drugs). Any advice will be greatly appreciated, as well as any prayers!

habit forming and not super powerful in the pain relief arena but very addictive for many people..there is no tylenol in ultram or tramadol/but ultracet has tylenol in it so liver problems if taking alot of them can be a concern....like cathy said..why do u ask?

Tramadol is no good!!!! It does a good job with constipation/stomach problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took tramadol the last 24 weeks of my treatment, but it only worked together with tylenol 2 capsules tramadol one tylenol pill. It helped a lot with my mood aswell. I didn`t took any other meds beside soc and that during tx. The doc prescribed it because of terrible headache that I have had for months Good luck with the rest of your treatment.

you can go to the pharmacy and ask for Tylenol One it has 8mg of codiene(Narcotic) with 325mg of Tylenol. It can help if you run out of trmadol for now. However do not abuse the recommended dosage because the tylenol can really damage your liver with one overdosage. By the way....one of the first withdrawal symptoms of narcotic abusers is actually pain. So the more you take chronically pain meds/narcotics the more you can have rebound pain in the long run.
