Avatar f tn Yes I think so. Constipation and GI disturbance are common side effects. Also the tylenol is bad for your liver if your using the combo med like ultracet.
Avatar n tn Tramadol works on our(humans) receptors just like narcotics do. For humans it is probably the worst drug to come off. In some countries Tramadol is now listed as a controlled substance. Seizures are a side effect. Just wanted to get that out here. I have no idea if it affects animals the same way, i hope not.
Avatar m tn Tramadol could raise your heart rate, and Synthroid does elevate the metabolism, However Thyroid Disease is a Cause of elevated BP and Cholesterol levels, Si I doubt that the medications are responsible for your increased BP, I would advise sharing your concerns with your MD though.

1550149 tn?1340000730 Constipation; Diarrhea; Dizziness; Drowsiness; Dry Mouth; Increased Sweating; Headache; Loss of Appetite; Nausea. This is not complete and I am sure there are more, less common side effects. I took Tramadol for a short term but it was simply not effective for me. Among the side effects are dry mouth, this would seem to indicate that your mucosa can be dry which may account for your dry eyes. I cannot find reports of ENT side effects such as your under water feeling.
Avatar n tn Tramadol is generally well tolerated, and side effects are usually transient. Commonly reported side effects include nausea, constipation, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, and vomiting. Less commonly reported side effects include itching, sweating, dry mouth, diarrhea, rash, visual disturbances, and vertigo. Some patients who received tramadol have reported seizures.
Avatar m tn I thought it was a problem with my heart so i called a ambulance and they done all the checks on my heart and i was fine. t is side effects to tramadol. Today i still feel weak and sickly and a little bit spaced out. How long does tramadol stay in your system for its been 18 hours now so frustrating.
Avatar f tn However please remember that side effects do not occur in everyone and also all drugs have side effects. It is the balance between the beneficial effects and harmful effects that matter. If beneficial effects are more than harmful ones it is worth trying.
Avatar f tn Iv always suffered with constipation and it gets so much worse during pregnancy it's unreal, haven't had BM in 2 weeks now (sometimes it's longer). I took 1 dulcolax tablet on Monday night, woke up at 4am with stomach cramps. It's been 2 days and the diarrhea is just going away but iv still not had a bowel movement. Went to see a gastro doctor yesterday who prescribed me Docusate 100mg (Colace).
539209 tn?1225972263 Lyrica is wonderful once you get passed the side effects,,usually takes a week,,,,,Also lyrica is a schedule 5 drug,,with Morphine componants
Avatar f tn I would say that of the few side effects I get from my meds, the constipation would be the worst one. Then again I could probably do more to correct this, but I really hate high fiber foods. I may try that metamucil that xanweaner mentioned.
Avatar f tn I hear you. I was in the hospital yesterday for my daily rads treatment, and there were delays, and then more delays, and pretty soon my lower back got to carrying on, and I cried and cried. Once I got home, took my pills, and could lay down on the couch, I was better. The Lyrica may make you off-balance, tho, for the first few months... you had said another medicine made you dizzy and so you quit taking it.
Avatar m tn After taking the meds for over 5 days I am experiencing sleeplessness, headache and constipation. Could someone let me know if these are the side effects of the meds? should i continue or should I stop taking them? thank you.
2030686 tn?1351688548 Chills, body aches, fever or flu like symptoms are all normal side effects of interferon. High doses of vicodin means you're getting a high dose of acetaminophen which can be very liver unfriendly. Those with hepc should not exceed 2000 mg of acetaminophen daily. If you must use pain management drugs for an existing condition perhaps you should talk to your doctor about prescribing something without acetaminophen such as a low dose oxycodone or Tramadol.
757597 tn?1315801812 If you have been taking them and you are not having any noticable side-effects, then you may be one of those who can do so. One has to weigh the side-effects to the quality of life when taking medications. I took Tramadol for 3 yrs. I could not take it with Effexor due to potential seizure activity. I had previously taken it with Cymbalta, but discontinued the Cymbalta after a few days.
Avatar f tn When I started treatment they warned me of the side effects, flu like symptoms, depression, headaches and all that good stuff, but the treatment wasn't too bad, they started me on an anti-depressant and medication for my headaches. But for the last yr or more I have been having the flu like symptoms, major body aches mostly in my upper torso, back problems and I have had every test imaginable done to figure out why I am in so much pain everyday. Some days are better than others.
Avatar n tn It is absolutely the reason for your constipation. I was never constipated in my life and after being on tramadol for just a week it happened, also had a hard time urinating as well. Had to stop taking it. I work for doctors and the one that put me on it said it was highly unusual but the doc I work for said it is a side effect. I know a few patients who reacted the same way. See if there is something else you can take. Best of luck to you.
Avatar f tn in my lower spine and have been on tramadol for 2 years, then Targin (6 weeks), then oxicodone (2 weeks) and now back on tramadol since I had severe side effects with targin and oxicodone (panic attacs, depression, nausea and difficulty breathing) and have now decided to wean off the tramadol mainly because the difficulty in breathing and the associated panic attacks have stayed with me.
Avatar n tn Taking too much opiates for you to handle can very well make you nauseous/puke. And decreased sexual drive is another known side effect of opiate use. There is definately a chance your boyfriend is using opiates.
2090601 tn?1334515062 My husband actually felt better than he had in years for the first few weeks, then began to experience some side effects. It hasn't been too rough overall. He's on week 19 of 24.
