8265858 tn?1403378544 ve been drinking lots of water, eating pretty healthy, taking a multi vitamin. I am also starting my day with one tramadol 50mg. I only use them when needed during the day and I take three .5mg ativan to help me sleep at night. I've been doing pretty good so far. Just mild depression, fatigue, goose bumps, chills, nauseous and loss of appetite. So I'm wondering if once I am off the tramadol and ativan will the withdrawals go full blown?
Avatar f tn (1) Should I ask the GP to consider helping me wean off the Tramadol, and if so, at what rate should I wean? (2) Since I've heard that Tramadol acts as an antidepressant, and since I've become legitimately depressed, should I ask for a drug that will help with the depression and ease certain serotonin-specific withdrawal symptoms?
Avatar f tn I also have 20 tramadol I was thinking of weaning with. I know tramadol has really bad withdrawals but if I only use it for 5 days will I still have the withdrawals? I really just need to get off the pills but be able to go to work and function. I know I'm asking a lot and I'm sure you guys are thinking well you played with fire now your going to get burned.
Avatar f tn First, I am a female, not a male, - thank you all for your replies. My stomach stopped hurting after the wekend, I have no more pain there. Is there a way just to reply and not ask another question? I'm calling my doctor today, he didn't seem to be concerned about tramadol at all. I tried to edit my profile, but no luck. I am getting off tramadol, thanks!
Avatar n tn can i get high by using tramadol wich means if i take enough of it will i get a good feeling.

Avatar m tn my routine would be around 10-12 norco 10s for like 15 days a month and then around 10-12 tramadol 50 mg. I am not having terrible withdrawals but Iam having a real hard time sleeping. Do you think since I have switched between the two I will have a easier time getting back to normal?
Avatar m tn lesa May 26, 2010 — The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced yesterday that it has added a warning of suicide risk to the labels of tramadol hydrochloride (Ultram) and tramadol hydrochloride/acetaminophen (Ultracet).
Avatar n tn Hi, Tramadol will not show up as oxycodone. Tramadol is a non narcotic drug. Usually when you have a typical drug screen done for pain management it will show up as tramadol. It depends on which test as far as the extent such as the level in your system. Is the a test for employment or for pain management your asking about. They are very different test.
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever heard that gabupentin helps with withdrawals from tramadol? A friend of mine was on tram for 5 years and withdrew using gabupentin and she said she felt little to mo withdrawal symptoms! Anyone know or have experience with this??
Avatar m tn I was using Norco 10/325 for post shoulder surgery pain and I am currently using Tramadol 50mg as a step down for WD symptoms ... I believe I am doing pretty good, however I am 5 days post Norco and on my 2nd consecutive night of no sleep, 73 hours to be exact, can I use Valium 5 mg or 10 mg as a sleep aid?
Avatar n tn Hello and welcome to our pain management forum. I am sorry to hear about your husbands struggle with pain. I agree with Bob that tramadol can be addictive and cause difficult withdrawals. However if you have pain as I assume your husband does than he certainly requires something for pain. There are not many narcotics that don't have addictive properties, indeed I know of none. There are horror stories with most narcotics. But if we have chronic pain we pay the price, in many ways.
Avatar m tn (1) Could I take Tramadol/Ultram for back pains I have. I don't now whether or not that type of pain killer would have an effect on me or my Suboxone treatment.. (2) Also, any one who has been on Suboxone like me and is trying to tapper off, or has completely gotten off of it all together. I would like to ask if you had any withdrawl symptoms or negative reactions because of Suboxone reduction. Any info on this will be greatly appreciated...
Avatar f tn I have been on 60 Tramadol a month for migraines. I am tired of having the worthless and lazy feeling life. I am a 32-year-old mother and wife and want to stop immediately. Will taking small amounts of codien for a few days help with the withdrawal symptoms?
Avatar m tn Tramadol is derived from opiates. Althought they are not a narcotic they attach to the same receptors in the brain a narcotic. They very addictive. I would advise to take as perscripted and no longer that a few days.
Avatar f tn 5 years (had surgery 8/07), but not tramadol. Drugs have been a little helpful, but no riproaring successes. If tramadol can cause seizures, though, as I might have heard, I won't touch it....I had 14 years of pretty bad refractory epilepsy, and I don't want to risk having seizures, despite terrible pain (squeezing/tight feeling across entire forehead, and somewhat on side of head close to the scar.) Also, has anyone tried deep brain stimulation, or recommend any place to go?
Avatar f tn You approach is basically correct and is close to what I normally recommend. This is my usual approach: to space out the pills you take in a consistent manner until you take only one at night, then half at night and then none.
Avatar m tn couple quick questions....has this always been a problem or just since quitting the pills? does it feel more muscle or joint related? what is the hard labor exactly and how is different from the week to weekend? and dont think i ever asked how you got started down the path you did..
Avatar f tn Its codine and paracetermol at high dosages i think, it was the first pain killer i was given by my doctor they come in different stregths im on 30/500, my headaches are caused by my neck and back and some kind of tension (still yet to be diagnosed) and a couple of these seem to relax my musles make me feel light headed and tired and to start with used to take them away, not sure whether i would recommend them as just found out they too can be addictive which i was un aware of, but i must say iv
