Avatar m tn How long has she been taking tramadol? I would suggest that you or your wife contact the prescribing physician of the tramadol and let him/her explain the situation to the physicians at the ER.

Avatar m tn lesa May 26, 2010 — The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced yesterday that it has added a warning of suicide risk to the labels of tramadol hydrochloride (Ultram) and tramadol hydrochloride/acetaminophen (Ultracet).
Avatar m tn you can not go cold turkey from tramadol. you can have seizures. tramadol has to be tapered. it is best to get a taper schedule from your prescribing doctor. we cant offer taper plans.
Avatar m tn How do I taper off of 150 mg tramadol. Your help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
323551 tn?1255174750 I do not have any personal experience with Tramadol, however there are members here who do, and hopefully they will weigh in with additional information and advice. Tramadol needs to be tapered because of the risk of having seizures if you suddenly stop. If possible, talk to your prescribing doctor about your desire to quit, and they should be able to give you a taper schedule or advice you can follow.
Avatar f tn I knew this was coming since darvocet was pulled by the FDA, now the drs. are going to start prescribing ultracet/ultram/tramadol alot more. I made sure to tell my friend to pass the word on that this drug was hardly new and definately wasn't a "new darvocet." Also, my mom is seeing a pain management dr. so she can get epidural steroid injections soon. She had told her dr.
Avatar f tn Dear Medhelp Community, I need some help, and I'm really scared. I work as a professor at a top-ranked university, and I'm afraid for my job, my relationship with my girlfriend, and other parts of my life. Three years ago, I was diagnosed with chronic kidney stones, and most recently, with intractable migraines with aura. My neurologist started to prescribe me Lortab 7.5/500, and I decided to stop taking them.
320944 tn?1245966599 But when your doc is prescribing tramadol and telling you it is not addicting, not even classified as a narcotic you think it is ok. I cannot believe that even after the seizure I continued to use tramadol, this drug is so addicting!!!!!!!!
Avatar f tn So for the past week I have been taking tramadol and don't know if this us related to the meds because when I don't take them I still feel the symptoms. I've been nauseous, low appetite, headache, short of breath, lightheaded, have had hiccups a lot, and very tired weak.
Avatar f tn Okay, so yesterday I took three 50 mg tramadol and got sick once. This morning I've been sick multiple times. What is going on?
Avatar n tn 5mg before I slept, which was on top of 2 (100mg) of the Sedating anti depressant Trazodone as well as having taken two Tramadol to help bring on some drowsyness and wind down that night. I felt immensely anxious, unsettled, and sort of, absent the next day at work, it reminded me of the immediate come down from cocaine, or the next day come down from amphetamines or speed (I take none of these anymore).
Avatar f tn I have taken tramadol for migraines since i was 13. Theyre infrequent now but i have a reaaallyy bad one. I take my naltrexone at 7 am, and its now 2am (its so bad i cant sleep). Based on halflife could i take a small dose of tramadol to help?
Avatar n tn I have been taking Tramadol, (Ultram) 50MG 5X a day. I moved recently from NC to FL and the doctors down here are horrible. My brother has paid for a couple doctor visits for me but it was useless since the doctor would not prescribe my meds. So i had to go to URGENT CARE, which thank god he would prescribe my Tramadol. However, Urgent Care can only prescribe a certain amount, such as 65 Tramadol a month, when it used to be 100-120 a month. I would have to go to PAIN MANAGEMENT.
Avatar m tn I have been taking Hydrocordone for four years to handle carpal tunnel. I have had the surgery and really don't need it anymore. The doc dropped me to 5.0 mg Norcos and told me to "taper off." Well, I heard that tramadol was not addictive because it was a synthetic drug so I took those instead. NOW, it seems the tramadol is even more addictive. Is that true? Also, I just went back to taking the Norco and tapering off that BUT...I think I now have BOTH drugs to have to kick.
Avatar m tn I had TKR last August and have been described Tramadol for the pain, although the pain is going I am still taking the Tramadol and unable to come off them. If I do not take them I have severe withdrawal symtoms, feeling agitated, restless, having at times severe headaches, my joints ache and my legs shaky. I am arguing with my partner and end up in a very emotional state. Is there any way that will help me come off of this horrible drug and are anybody out there experiencing these symptoms.
Avatar f tn In case you hadn't seen my post I made on another post. Just a lot of good information about Tramadol and effects, ect. I keep hearing through many posts that A LOT of people thought that Ultram (Tramadol) was not addictive and harmless.
Avatar n tn 3x a day). Can I take both together safely? I wondered so for the past 2 days I haven't taken my lexapro. I am experiencing extreme sensitivity to sounds and lights, irritation and brain zaps as a previous posting described. What is the most sensible approach to managing the back pain with my depression medicine?
5093508 tn?1390543931 I was put on 150mg Tramadol SR to be taken in the AM. and another in the PM. Also I am to take 50mg Tramadol 3 times daily, for breakthrough pain, as the 50mg is a fast-acting capsule. After 4 days, though it helped my arthritis pain a little, I began feeling a bit anxious, worse each day I took it. I've suffered with horrific anxiety/depression last year for over 6 months and never want to get that bad again.
Avatar f tn Gday is there anyone in Australia on these forums having trouble with tramadol...I am in Queensland..Thanks Anyone can join in any help is great thanks everbody.......
Avatar f tn My PM doc tested me all of a sudden and I am afraid of what will happen if test comes back with anything wrong. I took some tramadol recently that my PCP gave me for a torn RT Cup. What is the process when I go back for my spinal injection in FEB that might happen?????If test is positive for something???
1487387 tn?1288107744 t normally write this nutty, but today I am having focal seizures due to Tramadol intake. I take 8 per day (2 every 6 hours). They are prescribed, and I fully knew of the risks when I first took them. It's not at all fun, I do not like the feeling at all, it feels like this.... First I get major Da'Ja'Vue, then I get this urge to puke, then thats it, no shaking, no real clue that anything is happening.
Avatar n tn My Dr told me I could take 4 tramadol a day and it is not addictive. Iam very glad I asked questions! Thank u again to evryone that responded. Also is it normal for recovering addicts to take anti-depressents after they have stoped useing opiates?
Avatar f tn My brother is on welfare and the doctors at the clinic have given him the following meds. Tramadol 50 mg, Trazadone 50mg,Amitriptyline 10mg, cyclobenzaprine 10mg, Hydrocodone/APAP 5mg/500mg. In addition he was also given medication for Diabetes Type II, metformin 850 mg, glipizide 5mg, lisinopril 5 mg, simvastatin 20mg, Asprin 81 mg, Ranitidine 150 mg. Additionally he was also prescribed Naproxen 500mg and Alumina Magnesia 360 ml. I think this is too much medication. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I would only imagine that the physician, who has been prescribing you the tramadol so freely, should be willing to help you out with the side effects of the withdrawals that you are now experiencing. The withdrawal from it is essentially the same as the one for the opioids and usually takes several weeks of the really nasty symptoms followed by several more of just insomnia and general weakness and depression.
Avatar m tn It’s been a long time since I’ve been here. So this is my second time trying to detox off tramadol! I was taking a lot around 20 a day! This is the first time in 5 years I’ve made it to day 5. My rx refills tomorrow and the addict inside of me really wants to take them however the rational part of me says your on day 5 your almost through the worst of the physical part.
