NO TRAMADOL!!! I had ankle surgery in the beginning of my pregnancy and was prescribed pain killers (vicodin and percocet) I was always more comfortable with the tramadol since it's non narcotic. I looked it up and it said it's absolutely not ok during pregnancy, however the narcotics were (also recommended by my dr) hope you feel better!
Finally in labour....it has been 12 hours I'm at the hospital!!! Had to get the epidural at 5 cm the pain was quite strong. ... now I'm at 8 cm :) can't wait to start pushing!!!!!

I have tightness and a dull ache in both the lower parts of my arms and legs. This occurs usually towards the early morning hours while I'm sleeping. The pain wakes me us and I am unable to stay a sleep. Is this a sign of heart issues or perhaps a thyroid problem.
Woohoo. Sooooo excited. I am finally in labour. I am 39 + 2 weeks. I woke up at 4:45am this morning with extreme back pain and abdominal cramping. I started timing my contractions an hour later and they were very irregular. They started coming in between 2 and 3 mins and weren't lasting very long. I went upto the hospital at 8:30am to get checked over and I was 2cm dilated. My midwife confirmed I was in labour so did a sweep to really get my labour moving.
I've been off my Tramadol prescription and I am in so much pain I can't bear it. I feel totally alone and can do nothing but cry, hurt and kick my legs. I'm emotionally and physically detroyed. I don't have a question-my brain won't work. Just want to know who is going through this, how long until it's better and trying not to kill myself. Help please. I'm terrified.
In general, drugs such as Ultram (or tramadol) are not recommended during pregnancy or during breastfeeding because there is a lack of safety information. This does not mean that it will necessarily cause problems for the fetus or baby, but since the information is not known, it might. Animal studies have shown that the drug crosses to the developing fetus, but the danger to a developing human fetus is not known.

Well, stomach cramps may not be really due to fibro. Debilitating cramping pain in upper abdomen is usually due to gall stones or severe acidity and in lower abdomen is due to kidney stones, trapped gas, ovarian cysts (burst or twisted) or bladder and urine infection. If she gets the pain again or is still in pain, it needs to be properly investigated. Take care!

I came off of tram as well I am better in about a week I think it would be good for you to try the AD now when you went off the tramadol your seration level crashed I bet with in a few weeks on an ssri you will feel SO much better .Any type of exercise you can get helps so much with tram WD as well.
Finally I'm in labour I'm 5 days over due now and so excited to meet my little girl!
