Avatar m tn I am having some severe side effects concerning short term memory loss, irritability, and fatigue. I have taken Ibuprofen 800mg, nortriptyline HCL 25mg, promethazine 25mg, acetaminophen COD#3, cycmbalta 30mg, pamelor 25mg, cyclobenzarrine 10mg, hydrocodone 500mg, methycprednisolone 4mg, tramadol HCL 50 mg, and viagra 100mg. My question is will any of the medications i was subscribed or taken in combination have symptons of severe memory loss?
Avatar f tn Percocet is a combination of Oxycodone/Acetaminophen. Tramacet is also another combo medication containing Tramadol/Acetaminophen. Mostly it is pain medications that you see the "cet" at the end of and all that means is that it contains acetaminphen. Both narcotic and non-narcotic pain medications can contain acetaminophen. They usually add tylenol to these types of meds hoping that the Now for the subject of the tramadol, I took this for several years for chronic pain.
Avatar f tn I believe the Tylenol extra strength contained about 500 mg of acetaminophen in each capsule. The offbrand Benadryl contains 325 mg of acetaminophen, 25 mg of diphenhydramine HCl, & 5 mg of Phenylephrine HCl in each capsule. Was this okay to do? I saw on the package later this morning on the offbrand allergy medicine that it says not to take with other drugs containing acetaminophen.
Avatar m tn Tramadol is Tramadol...Whether listed as Tramadol HCL or Tramadol. It's a chemical vastly like Effexor but without opiate properties. Think of it as a stripped down version of codeine with antidepressant properties. Ultram is nothing more than the Brand name for Tramadol and Ultram ER is a timed release of Tramadol. Ultracet is merely Tramdol and Tylenol in the same pill.
Avatar f tn In the grand scheme of things, there's a lot worse you could have taken. A little background...Tylenol PM contains two ingredients...Acetaminophen and Diphenhydramine HCl. Diphenhydramine HCl is better known as Benadryl. It's an antihistamine that produces some sedation like effects. Now, when I went through rehab, we couldn't go near any "mind altering" substances, including Benadryl. Will you get addicted to it? Probably not.
Avatar f tn I am so fortunate to be one of the lucky ones that uses tramadol HCL ( which BTW, is not a controlled substance or NSAID) and only tramadol HCL for everything that ails me. Good luck to all in finding your own miracle drug!
Avatar f tn was your tramadol presription for ULTRAM or ULTRACET? If it is/was UltraCET, that contains acetaminophen (tylenol) as well as the tramadol, so therefore, if you took additional tylenol with it, you could have gotten too much of the tylenol ingredient, which could make you sick (and cause liver damage if continued).
Business man2 Hydrocodone only comes with either acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Tramadol is another medication that I use with my patients that is of equal effectiveness but does come without the other medications. However, some patients will experience nausea with tramadol. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Can I take Hydroxyzine Pamoate (Daily) and Paroxetine HCl Oral (for attacks), with Acetaminophen plus caffeine (for headaches/energy booster), together without having any adverse reactions? I've found that theophylline reacts negatively with caffeine, and MANY websites group hydroxyzine with theophylline. What is the difference between theophylline and hydroxyzine? Thank you!
Avatar f tn t know this for a fact, but I would be willing to bet that Suboxone would override Tramadol, resulting in no real effect from Tramadol. Both Suboxone and Tramadol are active at the mu receptor on the brain. Since Suboxone has a very high affinity for this receptor, it would already have the receptor full and I doubt that Tramadol would kick it out. The chances of going into withdrawal are very high. My advice would be not to mix the two, but check with your doctor before you make a decision.
Avatar f tn d double up the doze in the morning to help me get jump started. After hearing that he changed my perscription now to OXYCODONE HCL 15 mg. The reasoning is that these don't use Tylenol to hurt my liver. My question is 1: will they work as good and 2: will I have Vicodene withdrawel? I've never had these before or know of anyone who has. He had me on Darveset and Tramadol years ago but I told him they were garbage and didn't help at all. Thank you.
Avatar m tn Thanks Mercedes175.....So I've been taking this wrong. I took my Tramadol with 2 ibuprofen and not acetaminophen. I figured what's the difference...apparently there is. That's a lesson learned about following the Dr. directions exactly. I guess they way I've been feeling is a certain amount of withdrawal and not my injury symptoms. I'm off to the store to pickup some Tylenol.
Avatar f tn s amazing to me that there are still doctors out there telling people that Tramadol is not addictive. Ultracet is Tramadol and Acetaminophen. Your husband is a WISE man to question this before he takes it! Congrats to him on 7 yrs Clean!!! If he is able to tolerate NSAIDS, he could take those or just acetaminophen (w/o the synthetic opioid, i.e. tramadol). I find that Advil Liqui-Gel Capsules work the best for me and there are generic versions of this too at Walmart or Walgreens.
Avatar f tn Yesterday I took Tramadol Hcl 50 mg and Ciprofloxacin 500 mg.to treat a UTI. My first doses I took around 5:00pm. and around 10 I was driving and I started feeling very dizzy, shaking, fainting feeling and also I felt tingling on my legs and arms. After that I've been feeling sick and nauseated. Could it be cause of the medicine?
Avatar f tn I found an old bottle (from 2004) of tramadol HCL 50 mg in the med cabinet, the bottle says take 3 per day for pain. For the last 3 days I have taken one per day, I don’t know if it’s helping, with my w/d’s, mostly mental cravings now, I kind of think it is. I have about 24 pills left in that bottle, with no intention of refilling and no intention of taking more than 1 per day.
Avatar f tn How long do the withdrawal symptoms last I have been taking TraMADol hcl for over a year for a back injury. I am trying to go cold turkey.
318582 tn?1248118551 The damage caused by alcohol-acetaminophen interaction is more likely to occur when acetaminophen is taken after, rather than before, the alcohol has been metabolized. This liver damage is so serious it leads to the need for liver transplants. Since 1998, the Food and Drug Administration in the United States has required a specific warning on labels about acetaminophen.
Avatar m tn I took a single 5/325 mg hydrocodone/acetaminophen. Within 15 minutes almost all symptoms were gone. I had complete relief for 4.5 hours which is exactly the duration of effective pain relief I had when using hydrocodone in the past for post-surgery pain. I started experimenting with various analgesics (both OTC and prescription). The following summarizes what I now perceive appears to help me.
Avatar f tn Seek emergency medical attention if you think you have used too much of this medicine. A tramadol overdose can be fatal. Overdose symptoms of a tramadol overdose may include drowsiness, shallow breathing, slow heartbeat, extreme weakness, cold or clammy skin, feeling light-headed, fainting, or coma. Tramadol may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for.
616534 tn?1233236497 After going to a neurologist for carpal tunnel and trigger thumb, he prescribed 50 mg of Tramadol HCL a day for the pain. Is this safe? Everything I read about these two drugs, is telling me these should not be taken together. Should I take the Tramadol or not? Please help as I have to have something for the pain in my hands and fingers.
