tramadol for toothaches

I have never heard of that one. I do know after we sober up our medical/dental issues come to the surface. Hope you get to the bottom of your tooth issues. That is not fun.

Having had two teeth extracted a week ago, I can tell you a bit about teethaches.<(JK) These tooths, JK, were soo painful, and sooo far gone, from fine, ( less than a year prior), that they had to get gone. With all the meds, we take for sx from HCV, and for sx of tx, it's a wonder that any of us dry mouthed heppers have any teeth left at all. 'Oasis' Moisturizing spray for your mouth does help alot, to prevent such rapid decline of otherwise healthy teeth.

what can I do for a toothache while pregnant?

tooth aches are no joke and to me are just as bad as labor pains... But for some reason they get worse while pregnant due to the hormones I would guess... Which is why it is recommended to take good care of teeth before and while pregnant. I would suggest yu get clearance from yur o/b and have it looked at... Then again being that you are so close to term they may want yu to wait until after birth. Mine started at 10 else... I truly empathize and sympathize with yu dear.

It's not likely related to be related to your pregnancy. You need to see your dentist to find out what is going on.

today i am at 12 days clean and feel ok but i have a tooth ache and scared to take anything...i was addicted to tramadol and i have percecets would it b okay to take it or just though it??

Roque, Thank you so much for your advise. I will suggest the drugs Tramadol or Paracetamol to my doctor as a substitute for Ibuprofen. I am also wondering if I should even continue with the last two chemo treatments since there has been disagreement on whether I even needed the chemo. Just recently a prominent doctor from Johns Hopkins suggested to me that at stage IA "UPSC", I don't need chemo, just brachy therapy.

It just seems like ever so often I get a killer toothache and I take two tylenol extra strength which is the only thing that helps! Anyone else have toothaches during pregnancy and what have u guys done for relief???

What i did to get seen early i had to call my dentist insurance and tell whats going and they switch me to a emergency doctor . Which i will go monday , What i do for the mean time is just wash my teeth after i eat and use mouth wash . Ice worked only sometimes , and i took Tylenol only the first few days because i couldnt handle it, i totally feel when your coming form you should call your insurance if it gets wrose they cant ignore you . Espically if your pregnant.

I noticed this about 6 months ago, it did not hurt, and since I have no health insurance, I put it off until later. I occasionally had some toothaches, nothing bad, mild, tolerable pain. I usually took some Motrin, and it took the pain right away, the pain usually stopped the next day, and never returned for a few more weeks. Now that its November, about 6 months from when I first found out, and now I'm in excruciating pain.

Before that I I have had severe toothaches for over fifteen years and the infection had become so bad that I was running a fever and vomiting nearly constantly. I have felt the worst of the worst toothaches possible and in a few cases I even had to pull the tooth to get it to subside. Try this; take 2 Tylenol AND 2 ibuprofen at the same time. The combined effect can sometimes be as beneficial as a narcotic without the woozy feeling. A hot compress sometimes helps too.

s much more effective for dealing with toothaches, most dentists have emergency service / someone on call, to deal with the source of the discomfort and/or issue a pain med prescription (or antibiotic if appropriate) by phone if need be.

im 12 weeks & I've heard rumors about all different kinds of things that can hurt your baby . But I have throbbing toothaches and can't bear not using any medication .So what can I use ?

The doctor gave me Tramadol for my endometriosis pain. I have a full week of almost intolerable pain every monthl. Tramadol is one of the few drugs I can tolerate with regards to nausea (Vicodin et al seem to just make me puke immediately), and it does actually manage to relieve my pain fully or at least 80-90% (when I mix it with Aleve). The problem is this. I have to admit that I enjoy the Tramadol. It makes me feel good. Of course it does -- it makes everyone feel good.

I had a terrible toothache and it turned out to be an infection.. my dentist gave me antibiotics and it went away in about a day. Toothaches suck.

I've been having back pain recently which stems from something that I have had since I was a kid, although it seems to be getting worse as I get older. What will happen is that the pain will start in my back then move down my legs. Sometimes it hurts so bad that I can hardly walk. I've been to the doctors many times, but they can never pinpoint what is causing it. Anyway, the doctor recently prescribed Tramadol for the pain.

hello and welcome. did the doctor give you a taper plan? you cant stop tramadol cold turkey.it can cause seizures. some of the symptoms of withdrawal can be,anxiety,sweating insomnia, nausea, shakiness, diarrhea, brain zaps.

ve been on it for much of your life so for me Tramadol helps with the little things while maintaining less abuse potential. Everyone is different and abstinence is not always the goal ahead of self care assisted by a drug similar to codeine v full agonist. Plus Tramadol assists to deal with the withdrawal and rehab elements using a far less load than the others for me.

Have you tried to give up tramadol and had problems with the withdrawal or are you yet to try? How long have you been using tramadol for? I just tried giving it up for the first time yesterday. I took my last pill at 1 am on December 31st and had caved in 19 hours later.... I am thinking I need to taper but I just want to get this over and done with as soon as possible. We can get through this together!!!

Ask the dentist for Ibuprofen 800mg. It works as well as most pain killers. I like to take the day of the procedure and after.

I was successfully addicted to tramadol for many years !!!! As IBK said tell us more tramadol can be just as addicting as other opiates. doctors are big on saying its not addictive but many of us found out the very hard way that was wrong ....
