Avatar f tn Chronic stomach upset, fatigue and a very loud ringing in my ears are the most annoying symptoms. Are these tramadol side effects?
422425 tn?1307992990 i have taken tramadol for years now and no it doesnt cause those side effects
Avatar f tn I have had this ringing in my ears for a while now - and recently someone mentioned it might be a side effect from the tramadol. So has anyone else experienced this?
Avatar m tn Then I was prescribed Lyrica but that was giving me crazy side effects. Recently started taking tramadol which got rid of the crazy side effects but now I worry about the addiction/withdrawals for the future. I deal with a certain amount of pain daily and have limited myself to 2 tramdol for the night and one for the day to keep from doing the high dosage thing (hence the certain amount of pain thing).
Avatar f tn I chose not to because I knew it was from the Tramadol and am terrified of the Keppra side effects. Fast forward to a year and a half and I just had my 2nd seizure last Thursday night. My husband heard a strange noise when I was in our bedroom and called 911. So far I have had several tests done already and they are telling me that I need to for sure get started on Keppra now.
Avatar n tn Most reports indicate that it is less likely to cause the nausea and other side effects that can result from extended use narcotic and NSAID pain killers. Since you cat has chronic pain (arthritis), it is probably a better choice for longer term, low dosage use. No drug is completely safe or without potential side effects. But given the particulars about your cat, tramadol seems to be a good choice with a good balance of effectiveness vs. side effects.
Avatar m tn I thought it was a problem with my heart so i called a ambulance and they done all the checks on my heart and i was fine. t is side effects to tramadol. Today i still feel weak and sickly and a little bit spaced out. How long does tramadol stay in your system for its been 18 hours now so frustrating.
2486897 tn?1339684185 (no offense girlnextdoor2) It is another highly addictive drug and horrible side effects as well. It will simply delay your detox and possibly trade one addiction for another. Keep us posted and great job on wanting to get clean!
Avatar f tn in my lower spine and have been on tramadol for 2 years, then Targin (6 weeks), then oxicodone (2 weeks) and now back on tramadol since I had severe side effects with targin and oxicodone (panic attacs, depression, nausea and difficulty breathing) and have now decided to wean off the tramadol mainly because the difficulty in breathing and the associated panic attacks have stayed with me.
Avatar f tn there are many side effects with using pain meds for cats however based on all avail info at this time the ones with the fewest side effects and safest for cats are the following..... Buprenorphine(buprenex) Butorphanol(torbutrol, torbugesic) Tramadol(Ultram) Fentanyl(duragesic) probably the worst one I've read about is metacam, this one can cause blindness among other problems...beware, many Vets still use it!! heres a good pdf on Pain in Cats...hope this helps... http://www.catvets.
4753943 tn?1359934569 I am taking welbutrin SR and just increased my dosage to 200mg about three days ago. (today is my fourth dose) I've noticed my muscles have a tremor/shaking issue...For instance when my wrist is in the relaxed position my hand is fine. Once I lift my wrist, my hand starts shaking rapidly. Is this normal or something I should be concerned about? Please help, I'm kind of nervous.
Avatar n tn i had similar side effects when coming off the depo shot. I thought i was pregnant and took 3 tests. they went away but it took about 6mo. My docs checked my hormones and pituitary gland and they we all fine. It's probably not the effexor but ck w/ your doc anyway.
Avatar f tn I was wondering what to expect in terms of side effects from quitting.Anybody out there been through this? I think i see now why the addiction psychiatrists wont prescribe ambien.....my gp doc did that, and yes she knew about my addiction to the pain meds.
Avatar f tn They were all side effects of this drug and withdrawing from it is worse than the side effects, but I am not going to be held hostage to a drug. I rue the day that I asked my GP to prescribe it - and he very willingly gave it to me. Only two good things have come of it - I reverse diagnosed myself and realized all the aches and pains and cold sensitivity are probably due to fibromyalgia (I fit all the symptoms) and I've lost some 12 lbs I've been wanting to get rid of for years :-).
1550149 tn?1340000730 Constipation; Diarrhea; Dizziness; Drowsiness; Dry Mouth; Increased Sweating; Headache; Loss of Appetite; Nausea. This is not complete and I am sure there are more, less common side effects. I took Tramadol for a short term but it was simply not effective for me. Among the side effects are dry mouth, this would seem to indicate that your mucosa can be dry which may account for your dry eyes. I cannot find reports of ENT side effects such as your under water feeling.
1178983 tn?1279663655 Taking an opiate for an extended period of time usually results in some level of dependence and abrupt discontinuation of the medication can lead to withdrawal symptoms resulting in a failed attempt at discontinuation. The maximum daily dosage of Tramadol in a 24 hour period is 400mg and as such your dosage is not usually associated with long term effects due to being below the maximum recommended daily dosage.
Avatar m tn Dear Larry, Well since NSAID's are contraindicated as per your post, you can go with "Tramadol".It is a centrally acting pain killer and is not an NSAID. But chances are, you may feel dizziness/nausea/vomiting after eating this medicine (< 5% of the cases these side effects are seen).Standard dosage is 50 mg twice or thrice a day. Regards.. Please feel free to discuss more, if your doubt is still unclear.
539209 tn?1225972263 Lyrica is wonderful once you get passed the side effects,,usually takes a week,,,,,Also lyrica is a schedule 5 drug,,with Morphine componants
Avatar f tn Give it a shot, and if you can tolerate any side effects you may experience, and the time it may take to find your dosage, do it...what can you lose? Living with pain is no joke..... Good luck............
Avatar m tn I have looked up the medication ultram many times as it has been subject of conversation and I have knowledge of the side effects and so forth from personal experience. I advise people here based on my personal experience and those of the people I know and I also refer to my friends sometimes who are Dr's. Everyone has their own ways of helping here and I have no problem with that as I said I do not prescribe the meds I only refer the pt to ask their Dr if i may be right for them.
544292 tn?1268882668 Not my fault that I had to snicker at the last line there because every time I talked to my Doctors (plural) about medications and side effects they told me that Tramadol was NOT the problem. Then there was usually another drug put on top of that Tramadol. And they told me to take more. I always thought it was the other drug, not the Tramadol. Yeah. I was wrong. It makes me very angry that these Doctors know and aren't telling people. I don't believe that they are ignorant.
Avatar m tn I mark on each report, the med/dosage I was taking at the time and what, if any, symptoms I had; that way, I know what levels to target.
378273 tn?1262097621 Finally I heard from the vet - she was not concerned and said what I describe are common side effects. She agreed with my lowering the dosage. She said it can take up to 2 weeks for the side effects to subside. There is an emergency place a couple of miles away; which I will take her to if she gets worse, but she has greatly improved in the last 12 hours or so. She can now get up on her own most of the time and seems more alert.
Avatar f tn I take Wellbutrin XL 300 mg once a day and Tramadol 50 mg. every six hours. I have not noticed any side effects at all using these two together. Also don't notice any difference in pain. Now I'm also taking Neurontin and Naproxen on top of it....now I have some side effects! Take care and I hope you feel better.
Avatar m tn 2010 but I am now expereincing muscle stiffness/soreness on both of my biceps. Is this a side effect? I went to my doctor and my dosage has been lowered.
Avatar n tn I know, but I have more experience than my GP with actually taking these medications, the side effects, the dosage dependant symptoms and adverse effects. And from 10 years of taking virtually most the varieties of anti depressants the general practitioner in the UK is able to prescribe, I spent a long time researching the pharmokinetics and contraindications of what I was taking. Basically I mix trazodone and zopiclone because I was instructed to by the GP.
2030686 tn?1351688548 I started double therapy yesterday and I just wanna make sure my sides are normal.. I had the chills from time to time, but I was hot more. What I'm concerned about is my legs and hips hurt so bad I could barely walk. I 'm on a high dose of vicodin and it didn't seem to touch this pain. I had a small amount of chest pain on the left side, but it was mild pain and didn't last long. I took a hot bath for my legs and it helped for a little while, but the pain came back.
