Different types of tests check for different drugs, so it depends on what they are looking for. As long as you have a prescription, and tell them what you are on beforehand, there shouldn't be a problem anyway.

So I went ahead and and tried the temazepam last night. And it was a horrid night! I was awake every hour on the hour. 2am and I'm wide awake. I think I can tolerate the ambien for another month or two - the temazepam just didn't work as well, plus I think it is a lot more addictive than ambien at the higher dosage it would take to knock me out.

Am I going to be able to sleep again? My original prescription was Seroquel XR 50mg tablet per night which I STILL TAKE. I've been taking 10mg of Valium AND 30mg of Temazepam per night ALSO for a couple years also and all I do is lay in bed all day TIRED. My life is wasting away. I asked my psychiatrist for the Valium and Temazepam.
What works for me was half a Lorazepam (1 mg tablet) less other week. Once down to one Lorazepam and two Temazepam, I drop one of the Temazepam and go back to three Lorazepam. I'm now at 2 Loraz plus 1 Temaz -- half my previous dosage from 6 months ago, and my goal is to get down to 1 or 2 Lorazepams per night as a permanent sleep aid. I'm 58 and we geezers don't produce as much seratonin as we used to, so often need some help sleeping.
So I'm a month off tramadol.... ! :) but my dr prescribed me low dose Xanax to combat the horrible panic attacks that came with the withdrawals. My question is this.. How long until my body becomes addicted to the medication? I am prescribed 30 .5MG pills and the bottle says I can take 1-2 pills 3x daily as needed. I never take that much. My first bottle has lasted me about a month and it was only supposed to be a 5 day supply. I just got my refill the other day.

I'm new to this but have spent most of the last five days reading everybody's really helpful posts, but yet again, I am awake at the unearthly hour of 3am (yesterday it was 1am and the day before 2am), and it's driving me mad.
I am ashamed to say that I worked my way up to taking 3600mg of codeine phosphate, prescribed by my doctor because I just couldn't seem to function without, and he wanted me to stablise before reducing.
Second, many deaths have occurred from mixing benzodiazapines (temazepam) with alcohol, and there are additive effects there too, and lastly, your liver and kidneys. The acetaminphon that's usually in most hydrocodone tablets is bad enough, let alone all of the other meds, and the alcohol too. Mixing alcohol and drugs at the same time is super rough on the liver especially. Know first of all that you can get off these meds.
I started smoking it to take the pain away, but when they diagnosed me i was described mostly the same tablets as you. I m nowon dihydrocodene, tramadol and a temazepam to sleep. The thing is when we came off theheroin i also stayed off my pain meds but the pain was horrendous so it would have made it easier for me to relapse if i didnt take them.

I saw the sleep study doctor yesterday, and he gave me a prescription for temazepam, 15mg, and said I could take one or two at night. He said it should give me 6-8 hours of sleep. Last night I took 15mg, and did not sleep well at all. I awoke every hour, sometimes every half hour.
Is it OK to just switch from ambien to temazepam like that, abruptly quitting the ambien? Should I alternate back and forth for a while?
I have had a sleep disorder for over twenty years, that started with a very severe head injury where I was hit as a pedestrian by a car going 40 mph. I had surgery to fix my forehead but shortly afterwards began to have extreme personality changes, and increasing hypersomnia.
This hypersomnia continued increasing for the next 12 years, but nobody believed me that it was real. They dismissed it as 'in my head'.
I took 7.5mg of Temazepam for quite awhile and the increased it to 15mg. I've been taking it for about 9 mos and I want to stop as I'm feeling really tired throughout the day and evening. Yet, if I don't take it, I can't get to sleep. What do I do? I can't get two different strengths of the drug from my health care provider.
Its a opiod and it has the same potential of abuse but low rates of abuse because people prefer hydrocodones and oxycodones. But tramadol is a little weaker opiod and it also works on your seratonin levels so its little different. So treat it as the vicoden if you are looking at tolerence and addiction.

The doctor did not examine me and simply told me that the steroids in the meds and the possible reverse reaction to Benadryl are keeping me awake and prescribed temazepam to help me sleep (which it did/does).

I usually take Abien and 2 10mg knock me out and if I dont take them then go emediatly to bed I will sleep walk, fall into walls, down stairs and awake in my chair not bed, whith no memory. So my doc put me on Temazepam 30mg caps. Ill pop 4 of them thats 120 mg and i still dont fill sleepy afrter hours, i did finally go to sleep out of pue exhaustion and slept for 13 hours straight. WOW. Do they work on some people and not others?
01mg (too be take every 6 hours) and then 30 Temazepam 15mg. The Temazepam is gone b/c I used it to sleep as much as possible day 2 & 3 and would take 2 each time. So, I know screwed the pooch w/ that one. Anyway the last two nights I will lie in bed and get really nervous and be up till 4am, sometimes I'll shake my head or thrash my limbs, each night I've ended up going for a walk around 2 or 3, it helps a bit but i'm still restless and anxious.
5-2mg clonazepam, 200mg trazodone, 30 mg temazepam (very weak drug IMO), and 50 mg doxylamine (Unisom).
