Avatar m tn I have 1 kidney that is in stage 3 and frequent urination our no urination are red flags for me as kidney disease can be silent.. Have this checked and let us know how you are doing.. I hope others come along with experience with Trams that may have run across this and that is all it is. I wish you well with your surgery.. Do not do things too soon after ok and take care.
Avatar f tn I would think her nephrologist would be more concerned if she is taking anything that may be harmful to the kidneys... Acetaminophen is found in Lortabs and Darvocet, and Tramadol is contraindicated for anyone with kidney problems. Phenergan has a sedating effect at high dosages and is also sometimes given for nausea (which she may be experiencing due to renal disease). In any case, Lortabs, Darvocet, and Tramadol are all opioids and should be addressed by the methadone counselor.
Avatar f tn You find lots of info on the internet about tylenol and its effects but very little about tramadol. Any website that you know of that discusses the effects of tramadol on the bodies organs???
Avatar m tn I have developed chronic kidney disease and my doctors are pushing me to get some exercise. I have found that with every exercise form I have tried I quickly get beyond the pain control offered bu tramadol and lortab so i can't exercise. i have a great pain management doctor and he prescribed duragesic patches after I told him I was concerned about being on lortab all the time to combat the pain caused by exercise.
Avatar n tn Perhaps the doctor could prescribe toradol for the kidney stone or even try ibuprofen or aleve otc. They may work just fine for you.Good luck in withdrawal and take the vitamins and nutrients.Your withdrawal will be easier than some, but the aftercare is just as important and you have to have a plan to deal with future pain without opiates or tramadol.
Avatar m tn However flank pain can be caused from kidney stones, kidney infections, a kidney abscess or disease, arthritis of the spine, disc problems and as said earlier, muscle spasms. There are also other causes of flank pain...often other conditions can produce referred pain to the flank. Meaning the pain is actually being produced in one location but felt in another. I would return to your PCP and investigate possible kidney issues....
Avatar f tn My husband was put on Tramadol for pain from a kidney disease almost two years ago, of course his doctor told him that they were not addictive, obviously he was wrong. He is currently taking about 16-20 pills a day (50mg each). We tried a tapering program in January, but once he got down to a level that his body did not like, he just started taking more again. We are now back to square one, plus he has been having severe migraines, which might or might not be related to the pills.
Avatar f tn I am 22 and have just found out I have kidney disease. I do not want to tell my family, because I know they wouldn't deal with it very well. Is it likely to be easy keeping this from them (I live with them)? I am considering not receiving any treament for now to make extra certain family don't find out.
Avatar f tn I am struggling with several issues associated with management of kidney disease in my 18 year old terrier mix rescue dog, who was diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease 5 weeks ago, on the heels of an episode of acute pancreatitis. He had been on metacam for osteoarthritis (elbow, spine, hips) for about 2 years, so we have been monitoring his blood work at least every 6 months. His creatinine had been creeping up slowly, but entered the abnormal zone at 1.
603946 tn?1333941839 I assume poisoning was ruled out, but did you have him checked for ALL Tick diseases (Tick Panel), Kidney Infection, AND Leptospirosis? These 3 can cause Kidney Failure in a short time and need to be ruled out! These are always suspect in a young dog w/sudden failure....Tick Disease & Lepto are treated with the same medication.....Kidney Infection would be different.... "She said every once in a while the vaccines make them feel sick but it's uncommon." This is incorrect!
Avatar m tn Could my BUN have been normal and still have kidney disease or failure, and also no protein was found in my urine, soo......????
Avatar m tn i have kidney disease my creantine 2.12 my gfr 33.5 my normal is 1.
Avatar f tn Hi there, about a month and a half ago I started feeling like something was always under both my ribs and it has been persistently like this and it's really uncomfortable, I'm also always itchy at night and have been feeling really dizzy and lightheaded constantly. I've went to my doctors and they took my bloods and all that came up was that my potassium levels were slightly high.

Avatar f tn Hi recently I had pain on my adominal, usually the pain is on the right upper abdomen and the pain seem to move to lower left and right. I haven't did my kidney function test yet but I already did liver function test and my ALT is 9 U/L does this low ALT indicate that I have kidney issues?
387767 tn?1345872027 Be sure to discuss all recommended vaccines with your veterinarian. A cat with kidney disease or kidney failure should not be vaccinated at all. Long-term feeding of an all-dry-food diet is also suspected as a factor in Chronic Renal Failure. Cats' kidneys are highly efficient and adapted to life in the desert, where they would get most or all of their water from eating their prey.
Avatar f tn Im very sick and cant get anyone to help. Ive even had a dr tell me he wont diagnose me with kidney disease until I get insurance so I got insurance and they denied coverage before he even diagnosed me. I then had to quit working due to illness. Now Ive got no job and no insurance and no help. What do all these results mean? Whats the next step? Who will help me?
Avatar n tn Hello, The symptoms are definitely suggestive of kidney disease. You should get an ultrasound kidneys and kidney function tests done to confirm the diagnosis. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar m tn Obviously, he has severe anemia and no amount of iron will fix this kind. I have never heard of chemotherapy for kidney disease or kidney damage. I have kidney damage (kidney disease) due to an autoimmune disease. Kidney function is at 26% now, up from 20%. Autoimmune disease is in remission since I had all the mercury fillings removed from my teeth.
Avatar n tn I would encourage both of you to talk with his endocrinologist about looking into possible changes that can bring his a1c levels well down below 7. That truly is his best protection not only against kidney disease, but against other complications. If sugar levels are maintained at near normal levels, damage cannot happen.
Avatar f tn I have a 14 year old cocker spaniel who was recently diagnosed with kidney disease. She originally got sick a few weeks ago with pacreatitis, and when she recovered her lab work showed the kidney problems. We have been giving her fluids every other night as well as the epakitin powder with her food. Her blood report was better this last time. However she seems pretty good, has a good appetite ect and I'm wondering if there is anything else that could be causing this disease?
