tramadol and heart problems

Ive been taking tramadol for about 6 months now and i usuallt take it 3 days out of the week.is that ok? also does it cause heart problems? i have a heart murmer and i didnt know if that would effect it.

I have been taking 200-300 mg per day of tramadol for 7 days and the surface of my skin feels numb on my right shoulder. I stopped taking it (2) days ago and the felling has not gone away. I am very worried. Have you heard of this before? Will that feeling go away? I took tramadol (same mg) one year ago and did not have this issue. Thanks!

Hi, I just had a total thyroidectomy done 7/25 and the doctor gave me Tramadol for pain. It did not help me at all, and in fact seemed to start some problems that I hadn't had before and also made pain worse, and so I disposed of them. Now I have back of neck & head migraines that are hanging onto me all day long, and Tylenol doesn't help. I've been told not to take Ibuprofen.

thyroid problems, dizziness, racing heart (palpitations) headaches, and yes, stomach problems. You should go see your doctor and stop taking the Tramadol. Your tiredness will go away and you will thank yourself in the long run, whether you gain some weight back or not. Your health is a more important issue with small children, at a young age.

I had to get stitches in various places and tramadol here over the counter is 30baht for a 10 strip of 50MG, which is about a dollar.. I have been taking them this time for 2 days, but 3 weeks ago I took them for a week and I did not pass any solids for that period and it took me sometimes up to 10 minutes to urinate.

Hi Sissy, I'm not a doctor but this doesn't make any sense to me. Maybe I'm not understanding something. You tapered off of Norco, and then your doctor prescribed Tramadol because your heart can't take withdrawals? Were you already tapered off of Norco? From what I understand, Tramadol withdrawals are worse than Norco. Tramadol withdrawals can cause seizures and other health problems.

A little over 3 months clean now and I sleep 6-8 hrs a night. I still have some problems with RLS and take Hyland's for it but then again I had problems with it before Tram. I have Rhuematiod Arthritis and Fibromyalsia and its common to have RLS with those conditions. Didn't intend to turn this into a book but I hope some of it is helpful and be sure to check out that link. It is possible to be free of Tramaol. There is a bunch of us on here that have done it.

Tramadol is not only a painkiller by affecting the u-opioid receptor but it also have the proprieties of inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine which would make it a painkiller with SNRI proprieties. Pristiq is a SNRI antidepressant so both are interacting together. So you have increased risk of serotonin toxicity and increased risk of seizures and other neurological symptoms. Please call her doctor to let him know this is happening.

Do not take Lyrica if you have had kidney problems, or have had heart problem including heart failure. My CREAT was 1.31 and BUN 36 when she ordered it and she knew it. Currently I take 15 mg Morphine every 6 hrs. and 5mg oxycodone as needed for breakthrough . It's not doing the trick anymore. I need a raise. This prescription is a year plus old.. I called the vet yesterday about the Medacam and took your advice and asked about the tramadol. He first told me to give him the Medacam every other day. Also, the tramadol twice a day (if needed). I think I might just stop the Medacam completely because I am not sure if that was making his behavior change. The crazy thing is, when I came home from work yesterday, Mylo actually got up, wagged his tail greeting me (he walks slow, but not at the snails pace he was).

Its a opiod and it has the same potential of abuse but low rates of abuse because people prefer hydrocodones and oxycodones. But tramadol is a little weaker opiod and it also works on your seratonin levels so its little different. So treat it as the vicoden if you are looking at tolerence and addiction. I have bad headaches, migraines and neck problems. No tumor but its pain that debilitates me and i am often left feeling lifeless and sorry for myself.

Since then my left arm and leg have been super sore and achy, I have felt a need to take deep breaths frequently and have noticed pain in my fingers and toes. I was checked by a nurse practitioner who says my heart and lungs are perfect, etc. Are these rather bizarre developments basically withdrawal from Tramadol? I do take Calmes Forte to help me sleep at night and have had no problems with sleep.

I have tightness and a dull ache in both the lower parts of my arms and legs. This occurs usually towards the early morning hours while I'm sleeping. The pain wakes me us and I am unable to stay a sleep. Is this a sign of heart issues or perhaps a thyroid problem.

I'm tapering but my patience is running thin, I just want it to end now, the only other pill I have is methadone and from what I've read people are using tramadol to get off methadone.

HI there. I never took drugs before. I have chronic pain. My rhuematologist prescribed me Neurontin 100mg, Vitamin D 5000 units and Tremedol Hcl 37.5 mg-325 acetinophen. I took neurontin on thursday. Friday i took Tremedol. Six hours later I took my vitamin D. The next day I took 2 tremedol pills. ON sunday I took one. I stopped on MOnday because i wasn't feel right. I had three panic attacks this week. I went to the ER and was given Xanax. it helped with my anxiety but not my heart.

t get my head out of a fog and felt dizzy and sick. Took 1/2 a pill a week later and had similar although lighter symptoms and now have it down to 1/4 of a tablet. How is that helping? Don't think it is. Probably won't ask for it again. It was suggested to go along with the Volteran but will just put up with the pain.

Anybody know if there is any problems taking tramadol and provigil together?

I saw my Dr. and he is having me try a similar plan. All we have to figure out is the effective dosages. Thank you for responding.

Is she on any other meds beside the tramadol? And is the heart condition CHF? I am not a Doc ... but that sounds a lot like she might need to look at oxygen - and all elderly people have problems at some time... Do your best to fully enjoy the times she has energy - set up little trips or projects that you can share and that are not strenous...

Hi it is 375mg not 37.5 and 50 mg of tramadol 3 x a day 150mg a day.

The only exception is tramadol which she takes rarely (had three prolapsed discs). She takes omega 3, and glucosamine with chondrotin. My mother had severe clinical depression and severe anxiety disorder and many other adverse health conditions. It all came back to nexium (acid blocker) which lowered her stomach acid.

I took them before and after 'self upping my dose' (cuz that is what us addicts do-"one's good and five are better") within 1 hour I was calling 911 and heading to the hospital in an ambulance with heart palpatations and all kinds of scariness. Tramadol is the DEVIL!!!! If I had a choice between kicking Tram or kicking oxycodone (again) I would pick oxy every time because Tram WD's make oxy kicks look pleasant (in my opinion).

The withdraws from those r the worst ever and messed with my heart. I started abusing oxycodones and would use tramadol for in between when I ran out.they don't do much for pain, but I have to say after taking trams for 5 yrs it was the hardest to stop due to how bad the withdraws were.

Turns out Aleve is not broken down and passed thru the liver and tramadol is. I am back on Tramadol and have the hyperness and dry mouth but hopefully it will get the weight off. By the way, I have fibromyalgia.

i immediately felt dizzy, fuzzy headed ,weak and had memory and cognitive problems. i routinely take my resting pulse rate when i wake up(a habit i picked up from my younger athletic days) the morning after the tramadol,my resting pulse rate dropped from around 70 to around 60 and has stayed there. my symptoms have changed a bit over the last 5 months. im not as jittery, but i now get some palpitations.
