toprol

214864 tn?1229718839 I tryed generic toprol xl and had very bad side effects and problems from it.. forced me to buy the non generic toprol xl for $$$ out of pocket !! due to Medco plan for meds. I think the FDA should check all the b.p meds Generic and Non Generic for problems as well. and really check the big pharm companys outside the U.S.A . that send us some of these drugs ! I would be 9 out of 10 companys wouldnt meet the u.s. standerts !
Avatar n tn Once at the hospital I was injected with adenosine (extremely unpleasant by the way), which only worsened the situation. Eventually, I was injected with toprol XL, which over the next 20 minutes decreased my heart rate to approximately 100 bpm. I was sent home within the next few hours, and prescribed daily tablets of toprol XL. Well, I took these beta blockers over the next week or so, but due to some chest pains and extreme fatigue I was taken off of them.
Avatar n tn I take plavix, lipitor, toprol-xl & diovan. Have been taking them for 2 1/2 years after stent implantation. Any ideas on how long you should be left on each of these..or are they classified as 'health maintenance'. No real side effects to speak of.
Avatar n tn Metoprolol is also short-acting so I would consider using either metoprolol succinate (toprol XL) daily or propranolol for supression of PVCs. 3. I have heard from patients that magnesium tablet, available OTC, are good for suppressing PVCs and palpitations.
183202 tn?1219857259 Hello Ryan. Thank you for all of your help! You have no idea how appreciative I am with all of the assistance you have given me. I DO have one other question, though. Do you suspect I could possibly be suffering from Lyme Disease or some other TBD (tick borne disease)??
Avatar f tn 5mg of klonopin a day and 25 mg of Toprol XL. So maybe there would be more risk of interactions at higher doses. I would talk to your prescribing doctor and pharmacist about it.
Avatar f tn I am hoping an ablation I had earlier this year was successful and if it indeed was, I am planning to begin tapering off a daily dose of 25mg Toprol XL (extended release Metoprolol) in about January and have been looking into this at some depth since when I was instructed to stop my BBs cold turkey for my recent ablation, the first few days seemed fine, but within about 3 days I was having significant symptoms.
Avatar n tn was told i'll be fine but need to take meds to prevent. So 1/04 I started taking 50 mg of Toprol XL. I am very sensative to meds. I got horible side effects, headaches, swelling, cramping. Doc said take 1/2 of 50 mg., as soon as I switched I started having SVT's everyday. Went back to 50 mg., still having SVT. NOW having PVC (self diagnosis) or "skipped beats", make me feel like i'm going to die, I would almost rather have an SVT.
Avatar n tn just a quick note bloke1981 the information comes from multiple text books and research as well as the cleveland clinic check the web site out the vagus can cause multiple things to happen, as well as the slowing and speeding of the heart, i am no doctor but i am educated, i would doubt that one of the leading heart centers in the world would give false information but im no doctor try researching it that might help
Avatar n tn I am on Benicar for high blood pressure as well as Toprol XL. I take Crestor for cholesterol too. I have been on these medicines for several years and don't believe there is a connection there. Any information or help will be appreciated.
Avatar f tn This is the first day I have been on the MedHelp website, and I am amazed at how many of the comments mirror my experiences and that there are people who can actually understand this medical "adventure" I have been living through. All the blood tests I have had to eliminate a long list of diseases (such as Lyme disease, anemia, rheumatoid disease etc.) are negative.
Avatar n tn I am suffering from Paxil withdrawals. Below is more information that the doctors won't tell you!!! Tell your Doctors, and perhaps they will make the connection! How hard has it been for you to wean yourself from Paxil? It's as agonizing as coming off of heroin..and shares most of the same symptoms and long term effects!
Avatar f tn She said she wants to take me off Norpace altogether and put me on Toprol if it keeps happening. I have had many medications tried on me over the years. BTW, taking Xanax has no effect on the heart rate ect. because I tried that too for anxiety. My problem is I am to heart aware and feel every single skip ect. This slowing down stuff is the worst though. Worse than anything else I have had to live with for years. It goes on all the time now. No relief.
