I am on my 2nd week of Topamax. Get ready for some very strange side effects. Your hands and feet and face will tingle and fall asleep. I have no appetite at all. I can go from breakfast to dinner of the next day and not be hungry at all. I have to force myself to eat. I'm forgetting things. I went to Wal Mart and forgot what i went there for. I am on it for migranes so im hoping i can stick it out because my headaches are unbearable. Good luck!

Hello, Topamax can cause itching and erythematous rash in some individuals.Although the main side effects of topamax are slower reflexes, trouble thinking or concentrating, tiredness, poor coordination, and dizziness,yet it has shown itchy skin in some individuals. I found out that topamax can lead to these side effects. however, I have gradually gone off the topamax and have quit taking it for approximately 4 - 5 days. Sometimes, dividing the dose into several doses throughout the day may help. Also taking the smallest dose you can take is best to avoid the side effects. Initially, many people have side effects, but after your body gets used to the med. it goes away (usually after a week or 2).

I am on topamax now and some side effects are hard to deal with. my dr is decreasing my dosage. my side effects are that my arms and legs are numb and tingling like pins and needles and I am very tired I have diahreea alot. you have to stay in contact with your doc while on the medication.

The cognitive side effects also went away after a couple of months. After about 3 months on Topamax and getting to my maximum dose, I was getting minor headaches and virtually no side effects. The best thing about Topamax as opposed to other migraine drugs is that it doesn't make you gain weight. Topamax gave me my life back.

That cleared somewhat still some Spk holes and micro scratches, dry eye also. Now around 8-16-16 my right side get numb and temples start pounding twice a day and I pass out asleep for 6 plus hours. Real dizzy brain fog like feeling and eyes get real red and numb feeling more on right surgery eye. 10-3-16 want to neurology dr. Put me on topamax 25 mg don't like that drug makes me stupid sleepier. But staying on it for now. Getting brain mri this week.

I am ok with topamax, but it has side effects - all of them do. I tried all of them - and for me, topamax had the least, but every one is different and you have to do what you can. Work up to a dose - and take the least amount that helps you the most. I used to take a smaller amount, but had to increase it. It may be best to see a neurologist. There are also surgeries - but that may not be best for you since yours was caused by an injury so it may be difficult to isolate the nerve.

That happen to me too, right after a bad week of migraines,under my left eye is buffy and both eys are blurred vision, my neurology gave me capsule to get the swollen blood vessel down they were too swollen and it help.For me take Amitriptyline the same thing u experince the pressure in my neck and right side of head.omg, go see ur doc and let him or her know that the feeling, that what I did , and know he's making me try topamax for 3 month to see how it works.

If your daughter starts topamax, be sure to find a urologist. One of the major side effects of topamax is kidney stones. After taking it for my migraines for two years, I had kidney's full of stones. I have had three operations to rid myself of them and the surgery/recovery is very painful. Over the past couple of months I am now having shaking in the left eye...side to side shaking, like a nsytagmus. I have been on 100mg of Topamax for almost a month (the 22nd of this month) for cluster headaches and have had a variety of side effects. I take 50mg in the morning and 50mg at night. I thought I was going to lose my mind honestly. But I was told that the side effects would taper off more than likely. Which the vast majority have. Hi Eddie1994, thank you for answering us we are at the end of our rope so to speak, and can use all the help we can get, I have read so many horrible things on the internet about the visual side effects of topamax I wasn't sure if we should even try it we did find an online pharmacy that provided the generic version at a very affordable price it was just the side effects I was concerned about. Have yall ever heard about trying Klonopin for migranes?

t work quickly enough for me so I stupidly ramped the dose up too quickly, ended up feeling exactly as I had at my worst point, aching muscles, nausea, weakness etc. My eyes became very dry (had no side effects on topamax the first time) and irritated, I read about glaucoma and was seen by a specialist the next day, he looked and pressure tests Etc and said there was inflammation and dryness, I stopped the topamax and the eye drops got the inflammation down over the next week.

My body adjusted to the side effects over time. But what it also did was prevent my body from sweating, and I still feel cold all the time. Also side effects from the medications. I didn't lose any weight unfortunately, I was kinda hoping for one good perk out of dealing with all the tingling. sometimes the sensation was so strong it was painful.
