Avatar n tn I also use tretinoin 0.05% occasionally to help the skin peel and get rid of the areas that the Donnel lightening gel "burns" off. I only used Donnel about once a week for just a few wks. I wear spf 55 daily. Help me please!
Avatar f tn Hi, Doctor, I have a question about topical steroid cream use. I used a steroid cream on my chin for a fungal rash for about 4 months. My primary care provider didn't warn me that it can cause lightening of the skin! Is this permanent? I haven't been using the cream for almost 6 months now, and now that it's summer and I'm getting a tan, the white spots are very noticeable. Is there any chance this might go away??? Thanks!
Avatar m tn The newest treatment for age spots is an alpha hydroxy acid gel or beta hydroxy acid gel. Retin-A cream, alpha hydroxyacid peels, and liquid nitrogen therapy are other options. You can discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.

Avatar m tn One medicine which has been advised by many dermatologists for scar diminishing is contractubex gel/cream. You can seek your dermatologist/surgeon’s opinion before using this cream. Otherwise you can go in for glycolic peals, laser treatments and pressure dressings. Severe scarrings may need skin grafting by a plastic surgeon. Avatar f tn Are you wanting a cream to lighten your skin? I'm not sure what you have available- but anything that is marked skin lightening or something like "radiance lightening" would be what you are looking for- do keep in mind that these creams won't always give you the exact results you are hoping for- kinda like wrinkle cream, they don't always work and if they do don't always work for everyone.

Avatar f tn I have tried products like bio oil and a skin lightening cream, but these have not been effective. I get breakouts on my skin very often and i have acne and rosacea. My skin used to be completely clear before i used the hair removal cream. Is there anything i can do to get rid of the marks?
Avatar n tn I had a similar experience with a glycolic cream almost 2 years ago and it also makes me sick to my stomach. One night before going to bed, I applied some glycolic cream to my forehead and it was burning. I washed it off, but apparently not completely. The next day, I took my dog for a walk and came back inside to notice that I had pigmentation marks on my forehead. I was so upset and still am! I have done many Candela laser treatments to remove these marks, but they are still there.
Avatar n tn After washing with the T Gel, I use another clean cotton wool to gently exfoliate off any dead, dry skin on my eyelids and then i pat them dry before putting on aqueous cream on the lids and massaging the cream into the lids for a couple of mins which really tones down any swelling. As I have always had dry eyes, I use sterile preserative free drops 4 times a day and take one eye Vitamin tablet (Visonace) with my breakfast daily and try to drink plenty of water (at least 1.5 litres a day).
Avatar n tn hello doctor i have just read the comment you have given me, so do you think that this will help me, and also where can i buy this Hydroquinone 2-4% from, and should i buy a cream or gel, because my skin gets very dry. so do you think that this will help my skin discolouration around my mouth will fade away completly. thank you and could you please get back to me as soon as possible.
5519088 tn?1369145879 I am wary with using corticosteroid as it permanently thins the skin, and the area around the eyes is already thin. I have also tried Bacroban Cream (mild effect) and Ichthammol Ointment 20% (mild effect). What I believe started this is a multitude of things. For about a year I have been juicing as much as possible, and when juicing I skin a large aloe leave and after blending in the 'meat' I wipe the skin over my hair and skin as a kind of conditioner.
Avatar f tn I have PUPPPS, It is safer to take the antihistamine because if you continue to scratch it and it gets infected that will be much more dangerous for your baby. As far as the cream I couldn't use it as well because I have extra sensitive skin and I would have an allergic reaction on top of it!
Avatar m tn I applied the Nair face removal cream for sensitive skin earlier today. Upon applying it, my skin began to burn, however I overlooked the pain as a usual side effect to complete the recommended three minutes. When I washed the cream off with a damp cloth, my upper lips were red and burning like no tomorrow. Immediately, I washed it off using water and then using my 'Tea Tree & Aloe Vera' Face Wash which further induced the burning sensation.
Avatar n tn In the beginning it was just burnt crusty dead skin that was stuck to the skin and took forever to get all the dead skin off like 3 months. Then I was trying to grow new skin but it kept coming off cause I had it too moist with vaseline and vitamin e oil. It was all red and sore. My husband finally told me to leave it alone and let it crust to grow new skin. I did that and left it be for 7 weeks without that stuff. Then I noticed lots of flaking and crusting off of the sore.
Avatar f tn What works best for you to get rid of them or make them fade away as much as possible? They are really unattractive and Im light skin so they're very noticable- even though Im the only one who sees them.
613536 tn?1294238447 What type of cream did you use for on your belly to try and minimize stretch marks?
Avatar m tn It looked like I had hardened hair gel on the skin around the head of my penis and a small part of the head -- it's only on the top side and no where else. I put moisturizer on it and today I've noticed that the skin is starting to peel. It's not itchy. There's no pain. My skin just looks and feel plasticy. What could this be and what can I do?

Avatar n tn You can use daily or alternately with other skin lightening masks until you reached your desired skin tone.
Avatar m tn Cleanse the area thoroughly and apply a good mild exfoliating scrub on that. Apply a medicated cream or gel containing resorcinol, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. This helps is soaking the oil and helps in peeling away the blackheads. If benzoyl peroxide leaves your skin dry, apply an oil-free moisturizer after 10 mins of applying benzoyl peroxide.
Avatar m tn tried aleo vera, antiseptic cream betnovate mild steriod cream , advanced healing gel!!!!! basicaly everthing!!!! still there!!!! am currently waiting for appointment with a dermatolagest!!!!!! any ideas what is is??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Avatar f tn I'm as white as a ghost so I know it can take what feels like forever for marks to go away! I had a fair amount of luck with a 4% hydroquinone gel available over the counter. It's a skin lightener but for me it also made my skin flake/peel just on the spot where I applied it. The peeling aspect was useful for deeper marks. The brand I bought was Ultraquin which also has a sunscreen which stops the dark spots from getting even darker from the sun.

Avatar f tn You can try skin lightening agents like Hydroquinone 2-4%.Hydroquinone, 2% Skin Lightening Cream should be applied to affected areas and rubbed in well once or twice daily. Since hydroquinone lightens on a gradual basis (depending on skin pigmentation and other factors) it can take up to 6 weeks before you start to see results. Also other creams containing Azelaic acid/Kojic acid can be tried.
Avatar n tn You sound like you have a skin allergy, have you used a new product a cream , a lotion, shower gel, think of anything that you put on thoise parts of your body, some foods can also cause allergies,Aloe Vera Gel is soothing and natural, it wont clear it though, you may want to take an anti histimine ,there are some OTC ones and if it gets worse a visit to the Doc may be in order.
