Common Questions and Answers about Top anti aging skin products

anti-aging

Avatar n tn Currently manufacturers of skin products have been trying to provide a wide array of skin care products to suit each skin type. For an individual to get the best skin care, one should follow a particular regimen of cleansing, toning , exfoliating and moisturizing. As one grows older however, exfoliation may damage the thinning skin. Cleansing and moisturizing are still essential as one ages. The use of sunscreen for the face is still a must.
Avatar m tn Can you share your anti-aging regimen like cream, facial wash, soap, supplements, diet, etc. Would appreciate any info. Thanks!

999323 tn?1249913386 nuskin scientists in collaboration with scientists from purdue university discovered a destructive enzyme called ARnox enzyme located in the surface in our skin that destroys the collagen and elastin of our skin. skin then loses its elasticity and firmness and develops premature and permanent lines and wrinkles. arnox enzyme is always present and is activated in our 30's and 40's and after this age, its activity accelerates exponentially.
Avatar f tn I naturally have sensitive skin, but since I got towards the end of the 1st trimester, I've found that my forehead gets incredibly dry and flaky. Is this (dry skin) a symptom of pregnancy? What's the best product to use to moisturize super dry skin? Are there products (lotions and moisturizers) I should avoid while pregnant? First time mom at 11w+4, so I apologize if I seem naive.
Avatar f tn It is completely independent, I do have to leave the house for shows, but I make money for products sold, and for products sold by consultants underneath me, I enjoy setting my own schedule and because everyone needs face wash, moisturizers, lotions, and anti-aging skin care products business is never slow. I an out of my home for approx 9 hours a week and do another 3 hours of work in my home and I make over $400/week.
Avatar f tn You are fine to use it. It does not penetrate all the way into the skin. It stays on The top layers.
Avatar n tn Since these acne products increase cell turnover and exfoliation, I was wondering if extensive use could lead to premature aging of the skin. One of the components of aging is mutation via repeated DNA replication. The more times your body makes copies of its cells, the higher the chance of a mutation occurring and a less-than-perfect copy being made. So, does it follow that BP and SA, by increasing skin cell renewal, would hasten the aging process?
382218 tn?1341181487 Sun exposure is of course a contributing culprit due to the deep and lasting damage it does to the skin. Another common cause is aging, as these lesions typically start to show up in middle age due to slower cell turnover and slower recovery of damage such as that from the sun. The derm was surprised to see I'd developed a few of these bumps as I am hyper vigilant about sun protection.

1481901 tn?1287727244 I heard somewhere to avoif anything that is anti aging (in regards to moisturizer and facial wash).
Avatar n tn I would avoid heavy moisturisers if you are prone to acne as over use of oily anti-aging products has lead, in part, to the increase of adult acne in women.
1064785 tn?1406638398 I do not know if there is anything specifically geared towards pregnancy- I am sure there is. I like the 'skin deep' section on the environemental working groups page. Please know it is kind of overly-cautious, but at least you can see why somethings are worse for you than others and what the ingredients are that shoud be avoided. Hope this helps! Congrats on your tww! Stick and grow baby!
Avatar f tn What vitamins can I take to prevent aging? Exclusively the face and neck areas. If there is not a vitamin, can herbs help and what kind? Any Natural Preventions?
Avatar f tn Natural vitamin E is proven to reverse the effects of skin aging. It is an excellent example of a natural antioxidant which is present in a lot of different face and body creams. Another is Vitamin A, or retinol. This is known for its ability to stimulate collagen and elastin fibres. These vitamins are available in a lot of dietary products and also can be taken as supplements. Dehydration can cause the skin to look like it's sagging and loose, hence drink lots of water.
Avatar f tn Go to ulta and talk to their estheticians for a professional recommendation. While pregnant do stay away from retinols which are anti aging. They can cause birth defects. But look for something that has hyaluronic acid in it which is a natural chemical our body makes which helps retains moisture by 1000x its weight. So it is super hydrating which will help reduce and prevent wrinkles.
Avatar f tn I am 60 and noticing my teeth are more transparent. There are products that advertise they will restore lost dentin. Anybody tried them?
Avatar f tn Thought it looked like contact dermatitis, but not sure. She prescribed an anti-fungal cream with cortisone. That was 4 days ago, and the rash has now spead to the other toes and even to the other foot. Any ideas of what I can do or what it can be?
Avatar n tn I am constantly reading about skin care and I reread and reread my skin care books which tell me which products are good. I have tried them all and I never feel like I can be satisfied with what I'm using. I have returned so many skin care products that I am now the talk of head of office of Shoppers Drug Mart; I am no longer allowed to return products. I feel incredibly anxiety. Am I alone? Do I have OCD? I have just realized reading other posts than I have scalp picking, too.
Avatar m tn I wonder if there are products over the counter, which for example I could apply to the skin of my hands and raise sensitivity?
