689528 tn?1364135841 I was thinking that it would be great to have a chart available and parents can track what teeth have come in and when. Then on the chart it can state the average age of which each tooth is supposed to come in and when they fall out.
Avatar n tn What are her chances of becoming diabetic? Her doctor said hypoglycemia sometimes precedes diabetes in children. Is is possible to "grow out of" hypoglycemia? If so, what are the chances of this happening?
947190 tn?1286991297 I've been treated twice for chronic Hepatitis C. Since the onset of the first treatment, (February, 2004), I have been losing my teeth. They simply "break" apart and fall out of my mouth. There's no pain involved but, I now have only 1 1/2 teeth remaining in my mouth. None of my "Doctors" offer me any advice, help, direction. What is happening to me?????? (It's not just tooth loss either. Every body system is being affected).
Avatar m tn His tooth growth sort of slow.. he is 16 months old and only has 4 tooth. 2 tooth on its way. We noted even when he is one formula his tooth growth is slow.
Avatar f tn but there was 70% loss in one front tooth and 30% in the other. My laterals are genetically inclined to twist so my periodontist thought I might want four implants. I'd rather hold onto the laterals but need to know what the percents of bone loss are for a compromised tooth. I already know the one is going to have to be extracted. My hope is saving at least two or possible three of the others.
223152 tn?1346978371 My friends. It has been awhile and I would like to update the stats chart. For those who don't know, I have been keeping some basic statistics on members who started treatment from about last June forward. I started keeping stats only on genotype 1s who were doing triple therapy, but it has expanded to everyone. Many of you have now completed therapy and are still UND. A few are actually SVR. Avatar n tn My daughter had a tooth removed where she had an extra tooth in the gums. They gave her a general anesthetic (put her to sleep.) She is now 15 and does not remember having the tooth removed. Will they be giving a shot to numb or put your daughter to sleep? Children are resilient--mine didn't have any problems afterward with pain or such.
Avatar n tn Hello, I am so sorry for your family's loss. It sounds like your nephew is experiencing anxiety.. I myself am 23 years old and suffer from anxiety as well and at times when sitting especially when eating I find myself rocking. This is not only a response to anxiety but it's also a way of self comfort. I would recommend that your nephew speaks with a therapist as soon as possible because it's very easy for this anxiety to spiral out of control.
Avatar f tn My teeth have gotten whiter in the last few years and as a result my front right crown (please see attached photo) is noticeably yellow. This along with the dark ridge above the tooth is something I wish to get corrected. I know the only way to get a super white crown is to get it replaced. I remember distinctly though, that when I got this current crown, it was "A2", which was second to the whitest that was available from that dentist. Does this make sense? Is there a chart?
Avatar m tn I've had braces at around age 27 when the surgeon had advised me that it may cause tooth loss at a later age. I am now 57 and it's been almost 30 years since I've last visited the dentist, since I had a general fear of the pain when going to the dentist. I now have purple gums and my tooth are loose and shaky at time to time. I suspect it may be from gum disease with a combination of the side effect for my late braces. I am a drinker and a smoker.
Avatar f tn They never mentioned what they had written on the chart last summer. One of the nerves in this tooth goes right up near the sinuses. The fact that this tooth's nerve is near the sinuses makes me nervous, especially after what I've read here. I'm 65 years old and don't want any more root canals. I know they can get infected and I could have one done and it get infected in a few years: and then what? I'm perfectly happy to have dentures eventually.
Avatar n tn He went to see his physician yesterday and said when she checked his vision he was unable to read her eye chart with either eye alone but could read the chart with both eyes together. They've scheduled him for an MRI but I wasn't with him to ask any questions and he just goes with the flow. The thing he noticed first with the vision loss was the inability to see the green numbers that are on every digital piece of equipment in the house - they all just look like green globs to him.
Avatar n tn Tooth pain is not always dental origin, although most dental pains do come from cavities and gum disease. Assuming there is no dental pathology identified by your dentist other than the offending tooth, the possible causes of thermeal sensitivy and aching are 1.occlusal trauma resulting from occlusal interference. 2. referred pain from myofascial trigger point pathology. 3. central nervous system dysfunction.
1285110 tn?1420147378 Changed my chart to reflect twice weekly weighing and I feel much more motivated by it - scrapped the monthly target line too and have returned to a final target goal date of 18th october - my 38th birthday.
Avatar n tn I have recently been diagnosed with 90% bone loss in every tooth in my mouth. I went to the dentist because I found some loose teeth in my mouth. I have seen a regular dentist and a periodontist. I think that when the periodontist saw my x-rays, he had visions of a new Jaguar swimming before his eyes. I am going to seek a second opinion.
Avatar n tn My 11 year old son is currently taking Dexadrine. He has slowly increased to 20 mg in the morning. His teacher and myself (my son too) have noticed a postitive change in his work output at school and during homework sessions. Two of the side effects are of great concern to me. My son can't sleep until well after 10:30 pm. (we are trying Melatonin, but haven't found the right dosage). The other side effect that is most troubling is the loss of appetite.
Avatar n tn Steroids negatively affect growth in children, result in bone loss, damage the adrenal glands, adversely affect immunity, and sometimes cause death. American doctors are being encouraged to seek other forms of treatment. I took inhaled steroids for emphysema.
403156 tn?1290150018 For the mood chart, it would be nice to have the option to add medications ourselves. There are so many different meds out there, the list provided doesn't cover them all, and it would be hard to keep up with them. The option should be to enter the name of the med ourselves. The tracker is great, but more med options is needed. Is this function already there and I am not seeing it?
Avatar n tn He should eat 3 meals and have snacks between meals using the foods above to be spread out throughout the day. Most children have a ‘sweet tooth’ and love sweets, however, as parents we need to limit sweets plus give healthier ‘sweets’ in the form of fruits. He is getting unhealthy snacks already and suggest ‘weaning’ him down by limiting the amount you are giving him each day to either no unhealthy snacks or one a day (with a limit, for example 2 cookies only).
Avatar m tn On October 28, my son had a BM in his underwear, and for over a week now, has had no BMs in the toilet. All have been in his underwear. I'm at my wit's end and nearly in tears. I've tried to remain positive and lavish him with praise, but it isn't working. I "took away" one of his favorite activities - playing Mario Kart. I "took it away" by making it a reward for him to play it again.
Avatar n tn I am 41year old ,my height 5.9inches and weight 80kg.please suggest diet chart.
541456 tn?1394490622 Over twenty years ago a dentist told me I had bone loss on one tooth. Never affected me until three years ago I got a stabbing pain in it and a root canal. It was fine until three months ago. Now if I floss around it too aggressively it can hurt all night long . It also snags the floss. This is something new. Two months ago it became "rough" on the inside and snags floss. There is no bump or absess and it feels fine today.
Avatar f tn 1. Anemia — Children with leukemia often have fewer than normal healthy red blood cells and platelets. 2. Recurrent infections - repetitive viral or bacterial infections. Avatar n tn By the way, some weeks ago I found confirmation to this suspicion when I found that the tooth was indeed linked to the nose in Chinese medicine - click on tooth No. 12 and see for yourself here: http://naturaldentistry.us/holistic-dentistry/meridian-tooth-chart-from-encinitas-dentist/ ). About a year ago, I had an apicoectomy to have the abscess removed (choosing it as an alternative to extraction with the aim of keeping the tooth at whatever cost).
Avatar m tn Tooth mobility may be caused by acute periodotal infection. Once the infection subsides, mobility will be reduced.
