Avatar m tn Tooth mobility may be caused by acute periodotal infection. Once the infection subsides, mobility will be reduced.
3204403 tn?1346105744 I'm so very sorry for your loss. The dr taking an xray can cause issues during pregnancy. Also, were you given any anesthetic when your tooth was pulled? The only thing that's "safe" with dental work and pregnancy is local freezing. Dr's are suppose to ask you about pregnancy before xrays and at 32 weeks, were you not showing?
Avatar n tn Hello, I am in my early twenties and recently had my upper left premolar extracted and replaced with an implant. I know that bone loss can occur when a tooth is extracted, and the implant is supposed to prevent such bone loss from occurring, but will there be any bone loss at all? I am really concerned because I am so young and don't want my facial appearance to change. Thank you so much.
Avatar f tn I have been taking hydrocodone about four 10mg 325 a day since I was like 9 weeks pregnant. I have a hole in my tooth that causes me alot of pain. Im currently 27 weeks along and I want to stop taking them soon so my baby doesn't go through withdrawls. If I stop at 30 weeks will my baby still go through withdrawls at birth? I take less than I'm suppose to and I do not abuse them. All of my prenatal screenings have come back normal so I dont think the meds have had any effect on him.
947190 tn?1286991297 s in the front bottom for the love of Pete!) and replace with implant. All very well and fine if you can bear to part with beloved tooth and dish out $4000. Luckily I found an "alternative" dentist website that offers options to radical and invasive endodontic procedures. My conditions have improved since using some of these methods: http://www.drpaulhkeyes.com/index.html Hope this helps. I feel your pain.
Avatar n tn i had an infected wisdom tooth removed when i was 12weeks. an infected tooth can lead to ablot of problems. but do what you think is safe for you and your babies. i know how bad the pain can be, mine kept me up in pain all.night sometimes.
560272 tn?1311350293 Why do I have so much tooth decay and tooth loss, when I know other people that eat/drink worse than I do and none of their teeth are missing? That's why I was thinking vitamin deficiency related. I wish I could see a holistic doctor, but man they are pricey! And now with my teeth issues, I'm scared to eat anything hard or crunchy...so it is even harder to eat healthy! Life can be very unfair.
Avatar f tn The odor is being caused by the decay in the tooth and the only way to get rid of it is to have the tooth pulled. I would call some dentists and tell them your story...some will charge you much less than normal and some will allow you to pay in like 3 payments. I hope you find one that will help you and I wish you all the best.
Avatar n tn If there's an abscess, root canal treatment should resolve the problem. If not, a re-treatment of the root canal is possible or an apicoectomy in which they remove the tip of the infected root along with the infection in that area. Referral to a specialist for the procedure may be necessary.
Avatar f tn Pain meds can be used quite safely during pregnancy if you take them as prescribed and you and your OB are on the same page about it...that's the biggest key. As long as you and your OB keep an open dialogue about your pain and how you're treating it, you should be absolutely fine. A lot of people are under the impression that you can take nothing but tylenol while pregnant and that's, while ideal, an out-dated line of thought.
Avatar f tn Following extraction of an upper molar and wisdom tooth, I have suffered from miserable coated tongue, a sensation of dryness, and loss some of sensation in my upper lip. Could this be the result of any nerve damage from the extractions?
Avatar f tn I just need to vent really I don't know what more to do. I had a root canal two months ago. My tooth hurt badly when I would floss then it turned into a raging tooth ache. We did all the pressure tests and temperature etc. There was no clear cut answer on which tooth was to blame. So I finally told him to do tooth A. I was 99% sure that was the tooth. Upon doing the root canal the tissue inside the tooth was indeed inflamed so I was happy to hear we got the righ tone.
Avatar f tn Hi Ladies.... need some advice and you were all so helpfull with my first pregnancy. Anyways, in the past 2 wks i have had 2 sets of dental xrays, pregnancy tests came back negative at the time and now im stressing cuz yesterday the tests have all been positive. So im hoping the xrays wouldnt have any effect this early on. I need a root canal and was gonna have it done this wk. Do u know if its safe to have this procedure done so early in pregnancy??
Avatar f tn My husband and I have had 3 m/c due to abnormal chromosomes in baby, all passed prior to 8wks, 1st was trisomy 4, 2nd trisomy 15, both female and last baby was male and had double trisomy of the 6th and 18th chromosomes. Husband and I have been for genetics testing, no abnormalities, or translocations, as well I have had all of the autoimmune, clotting, etc. test done. Nothing seems to be causing this.
Avatar f tn I have periodontitis and consequently have bone loss throughout my mouth. I recently had #15 extracted. Today I went for my one week postoperative checkup. The site had not healed; I am to return in one week. My concern: I don't understand why my dentist didn't do any restorative procedures when he extracted the tooth. He gave me an explaination, but I didn't understand.
Avatar f tn I have an abcessed tooth, a lot of cavities, no gum disease (although I have a sore on my gum since may),bad breath and a partial root canal. My first pregnancy my daughter was born early and under weight (1lbs 15oz @ 29wks) and we just lost our second daughter @ 24wks this past may. Each pregnancy the placenta stops working correctly after 20wks. I see several docs and no one knows why this happens. I have fibroids and they believe they maybe the issue, however I am concerned its my mouth.
Avatar n tn t know if all of these symtoms are related or not. I also have one tooth on top left and one tooth on lower left that ache quite frequently. I went to an ENT who said he didn't see anyting and couldn't help me! That was a waste of time and money! My dentist has told me there isn't anything wrong with my teeth. I take one diclofenac ER a day. This is an anti-inflamatory.
Avatar m tn Gingivitis (when your gums bleed when you brush) can lead to periodontal disease and a slippery slope to tooth loss. All of that can be avoided by getting to your dentist for a thorough cleaning and evaluation. GOOD LUCK and make that appt right away.
1511959 tn?1298280013 Thank you so much for responding to my post and I am also sorry you had to go through the same. I can't imagine how nervous you must be, I'm just nervous thinking about trying again. Although this is only my 2nd loss they have suggested I go to genetics counselling with my husband, that should make things better but I'm so nervous and trying to put it off.
6520484 tn?1399082398 So I am about 7 weeks pregnant and I really have been wanting to eat candy. (Things like candy necklaces and rockets etc). Is this type of sugar bad to eat while pregnant? Or am I just being paranoid?
980564 tn?1248560914 Digital xrays are more common now, instead of the clunky radiation camera--and the novacaine and pain meds are compatible and safe during pregnancy as well. Just make sure you mention it, and remiind them throughout your procedure. Having a toothache can be extremely uncomfortable whether you're pregnant or not, rest assured---get it fixed!
