Hi I would like to know the steps of a tooth extraction procedure, what the best dentist company is (ex. Neighbor etc.) and, if a tooth extraction will hurt.

Should an infected tooth be treated with antibiotic before extraction? Is this a judgement call by the dentist or should caution be used to reduce the risk of a puss pocket forming causing much more damage after extraction is complete? And what does it mean when the local anesthesia still doesn't numb the area after the third dose? Are there reasons that the local anesthesia would not work? Thank you.

In shock, I went to Dentist who said Endo perforated tooth, in other words cracked it in half. He says tooth must be extracted. Is there something that could fix the crack in the bottom of tooth in between roots?

Hi, I recently had root canal done on a molar and found crack inside. After the root canal, I still have this shooting pain when I chew on it. It has been 2 weeks now. Should I proceed for the surgery to save the tooth or the tooth has to be pulled. Please advise. Thanks!

as a temporary tooth replacement. Of course that costs more out of pocket, but it was just too obvious for me to be comfortable in the apparent months that are ahead for this process to be completed. I am interested in how the process has been for others.

well what is bone greft in general....and is there any other alternative JUST as good?

The pain and sensitivity persists after the metal removal as replacement usually requires a good deal of space to 'set' properly, a lot of the tooth is drilled out. However, the pain can also be because of some microscopic air pockets that remain there during extraction and filling. Check with your dentist.

I couldn't find too much. It seems that that accept standard is indeed to have four sides as it the most desirable and provides the most tooth structure support to prevent a fracture.

At the time of extraction, the dentist told me I need have bone graft and it should be done at the time of tooth extractio or at least within two weeks after the extraction. But I did not follow his advice and just simply had the tooth extracted. My question is if I am to have an implant later, can I still have bone graft at that time?

if it can be moved, it is most likely a bone spicule or small sliver of tooth that may have chipped off during the extraction. It should be pushed up and out during the healing process. If you think it's intact bone poking through, see the dentist who did the extraction.

infected teeth are very difficult to numb. usually a course of antibiotics before the extraction works well. have the tooth checked it might just be a case of needing the root canal redone and an extraction is not necessary.
