Avatar f tn I've been feeling like I'm getting to much sleep too I don't get to sleep 12 hrs bc I have an almost 2 yr old but I feel like i could very easily. This is my fourth baby and I've always felt so tired with each pregnancy but this time is the worst! I have an appt. Tuesday and I'm going to have the doc see if my iron levels are low or what else could be causing my extreme tiredness. I'm tired of being tired lol.

Avatar m tn Hello, Causes of excessive sleepiness are sleep-wake cycle disorder like in night shifts, sleep apnea and other sleep-related breathing disorders, psychiatric disorders like depression and schizophrenia,diabetes,obesity,restless leg syndrome,use of drugs or alcohol and narcolepsy(Abnormal sleep disorder leading to excessive daytime drowsiness). You should consult a sleep specialist and get all these causes ruled out.

Avatar n tn That is very normal in the first trimester. I would sleep 12 hours and still feel tired. When your body gets used to the hormones you won't be feeling so tired. Second trimester is the BEST. You'll have energy and feel great.

I think most people would be surprised to see what an actual serving size looks like Plus, a lot of people live a fairly sedentary life which is unhealthy for lots of reasons. So I believe it's lifestyle and eating habits. People need to wake up and realize that if you take in more calories than you expend you will gain weight. It's really simple.

Avatar f tn It can be your iron but then again just get the rest that's how i was during my 1st trimester n now im in my 3rd ...you'll get through it...try eating salted crakers n drink lots of fluids try to stay away from sodas n coffee ..
Avatar n tn Just moving burns calories so a simple walk will do it. If walking is too much, some time moving in a pool is very helpful. In any case, she needs to cut back on her calories to match what she burns in a day. Just being awake burns calories, but if she is gaining weight she needs to find a way to take in less or burn more, its that simple. She needs to talk to her doctor about what is safe for her.

While the above statement is generally true, it isn't necessarily true for any specific individual. It also depends on how long you haven't slept for and why and what your diet is like. Why aren't you sleeping? Partying too much, working too hard, or anxiety? And how long has it lasted?

Avatar n tn m not sure how much breast milk, but he has a drink 3times per day before arvo sleep and night sleep, and also about 100ml of whole milk in a cup a day. The weight and height i gave you were from his 1year old check approx 4months ago, so may be more by now. He eats all family meals and grazes all day.

Obesity and upper airway soft tissue abnormalities are known risk factor and smoking multiplies the risk by 3 times. Even alcoholism, nasal congestion, craniofacial abnormalities, hypothyroidism, acromegaly, and adenotonsillar hypertrophy can lead to such symptoms. Hence, the above mentioned conditions should be ruled out by physical examinations, thyroid profile and other blood tests.

405820 tn?1205272948 Start off by snacking during the day on healthy foods...drinking lots of water and trying to get as much excercise in as possible. Having 8 hours of sleep too is good....you actually lose calories in your sleep...you'd be amazed...If your a pop drinker, chip eater, chocolate fenatic... STOP!!! If you really care about your body and your situation you will do these things for yourself. Getting a ball for excercising is a great, easy and cheap way to excercise....
