I have a student who tongue actually gets stuck to the roof of his mouth. The doctor ordered Valium 2 mg because he thought it was seizure related, but the Valium does not help. He was in the ER for 5 hours during the weekend. Believe it or not Benadryl helped him.
This might occur 2-3 times per day while in school. He cannot swallow. He does not drool and not having body movements or anything else that resembles a seizure. No pain involved and no spasm of the tongue.

Vitamin deficiency can indeed cause burning tongue:

Icewater and mouthwash helped I also had something in the roof of my mouth. 7 days since my symptoms started, my mouth feels almost back to normal but I have what appear to be healing lesions on my tongue.
Neither of us had any other symptoms aside from maybe being tired.
From what I have looked at online, it sound like a primary adult oral herpes outbreak. Since we are both nearly healed it will be impossible to get a definite test done right now.
in a drunken escapade someone put there tongue in my mouth for a few secounds, I do not know if they have hiv, I am not sure if there were any cuts or sores in my mouth, I don't remember tasting any blood, but I am worried about catching hiv from kissing is this possible, I also have ocd and I think a lot of my worry stems from this
They are infringement of the area where bumps are normally shown on diagrams. And the front of my tongue Burns and roof of my mouth as well. Any ideas if it is hpv or what it might be? If I gt through this I'm only doing stuff with people I'm in a relationship with. No doubt. here so you could seewhat I was talking about here so you could seewhat I was talking about there are about 15 bumps in the center of my tongue.
I thought it might be geographic tongue but some of the pics on the web of hpv on the tongue looked somewhat similar. They are red bumps like irritated taste buds with an outer ring of slight white color. And now I have a larger flesh colored bump that is smooth and on the top of my tongue in the middle if the red dots. The weird thing is that this patch keeps moving after a few days from one side of my tongue to the other.
i have it along the sides of my tongue and sides of my cheeks...i do bite my tongue and cheeks alot though so i dont know if this has anything to do with it... I have only had oral sex performed on me a few times and that was very recently..i have had the dermatitis and thrush-like thing for as long as i can remember.
I have been having issues with my mouth since about may, is been dry and my tongue sometimes feels like its burning. This only seems to take place after i eat and lasts for about 2 hours and then back to normal. I have been everywhere on the web and here and nothing seems to fit, until i did some research and saw that dry mouth is sympotmatic of diabetes. Can anyone shed some light? Its more of an inconvenience than anything else.
During the day, I breathe alot through my mouth, and at night, I know I breathe almost exclusively this way. I always wake up with a dry mouth and sometimes, a sore throat which subsides later in the day. A month ago I brushed my tongue for the 1st time. A day or so later I noticed what looked like some bumps in the middle of my tongue. Concerned, I've bought a tounge brush and have been brushing once to five times a week.
After about 3 weeks the feeling came back on one side but since the surgery the entire left side of my mouth (tongue, gums and lower left side of my mouth) have remained numb where I can stick a pin in it and wouldn't feel it at all. This has caused me to eat only on the right side of my mouth. Chewing is difficult because I cannot feel my tongue, I sometimes bite it without knowing. I cannot feel when I floss on that side and have to be careful that I am not cutting into my gums.

Caveat: stressing daily; hasn't been a day yet where I have been free from looking at something in the mirror, reading the internet or thinking about what I've done.

Since march I have had a burning mouth and white tongue which the doctor said was thrush but a sample came back negative.
I still have the burning sensation abd white tongue - is this a sign of HIV?
I tested negative after 16 weeks of what I thought was a needkestick injury.
In that tine I had been to a few gay cottages but hadn't had sex, only wankibg, but worried someone could have stabbed me with a needle.

I found I had them. In my paranoia about oral HPV I did some research.
Also I found that my tongue got swollen from using "white strips" toothpaste. It was a web research I did again in panic over oral HPV. Once I stopped the white strips, the swelling went down.
Oddly if I drink three or more glasses of wine in a night my tongue gets tingly.
I am actually concerned about the sore which i was having at my tongue during the licking. I read on this web page that sore actually increases the risk but I had a sore on my tongue which was closed, i mean it would pain if i touch it but otherwise it wouldnt bleed or something. Kindly advise if this kind of sore is a concern.
