I have a student who tongue actually gets stuck to the roof of his mouth. The doctor ordered Valium 2 mg because he thought it was seizure related, but the Valium does not help. He was in the ER for 5 hours during the weekend. Believe it or not Benadryl helped him. This might occur 2-3 times per day while in school. He cannot swallow. He does not drool and not having body movements or anything else that resembles a seizure. No pain involved and no spasm of the tongue.

I thought it might be geographic tongue but some of the pics on the web of hpv on the tongue looked somewhat similar. They are red bumps like irritated taste buds with an outer ring of slight white color. And now I have a larger flesh colored bump that is smooth and on the top of my tongue in the middle if the red dots. The weird thing is that this patch keeps moving after a few days from one side of my tongue to the other.

A single lump on the tongue doesn't sound like any STD I've ever heard of. It does seem strange that he doesn't appear to know how he got it. I have a lump on my tongue from falling down stairs and biting it when I was small.
