Today I am 19, and I have trouble speaking 100% and words/sentences end up being tongue twisters for me. It makes me unconfident when I want to ask a question knowing I probably wouldn't be able to say it right. It's like when I speak my tongue kind of trips itself, or better say that it gets "stiff". The sentences that I really have problems with saying usually include alliteration in them, or that.
I've read up that by toughening up your nipples you can stand in the sun for about 5min every day so that the uv rays can penetrate your skin, and not through a window. I'll be 36weeks on Friday and will start doing that everyday before baba gets here. Don't use any chemicals as this won't help, try not to moisturise the nipples too much as it will soften it up and make sure to give your nipples enough ventilation.
I get small bumps on my tongue and occasionally they are accompanied by slight irritation but not really pain and what looks like a layer of whiteish dead skin.
I have tongue atrophy for a year now and my tongue goes to the left.I had the EMG and I have had test but they can't see what they need to because I have braces.I do have a hard time when I talk alot and swallow. I have tendonides in both sholders. Plus a heart beat in my left ear.I don't care what it is how long will it take to know whats's going on.Maybe low motor thing don't know just waiting. And I don't know what I should be looking for? Any help would be great!
Hi! Although I haven't been officially diagnosed yet (still in the CIS stage) I have a good idea of what you're talking about! My tongue was the first symptom that really made me aware that something was up, although there's a chance I was ignoring other ones before that. One side of my tongue suddenly went numb. This then progressed to a freezing cold and ever since has had a burnt/pins and needles/"wrong" feeling about it.
Joggen, I think I am pretty sure I have burning tongue. Tongue burns and the taste buds on the tongue bleeds. I'll go a step further. I have a yellowish-white film on the tongue in the evenings.
Are you sure this is not a symptom? In addition to my original symptoms. And, how can you be confident about my episode with the sex worker in Washington, DC that I dealt with that it was not a risk?
No, because you can't get hiv from oral sex. If you are sure all 3 of these things are happening see your doc to see what he thinks because you have been wasting your time time thinking it has anything to do with hiv.
About 5 days ago I went out to dinner, never ate anything hot, but after I took a bite of bread my tongue went numb. Hours later it went away, but I tried the bread to see if it happened again and it did. This time it took till 2 days ago for the numbness/tingling/burning feeling to go away. But now I have a constant sweet taste in my mouth where things should be spicy or salty. I also have numerous cysts on my under arms and maybe 1 or 2 in the groin area. I am overweight, trying to lose.
Followed by a real bad sore throat that felt like post nasal drip and a white tongue. My tongue had a lot of white paste stuff on it that with a scraper would come off. No spots or red marks just thick white stuff. I also experienced massive fatigue and my muscles felt like they were pulsing. Went to my doctor and had an HIV test that came up negative, thank god. He prescribed nystantin for the tongue but that did nothing.
last night I had a dream about an amusement park and twisters kept coming through as I was running with my kids to safety. I almost lost my youngest twice but wouldn't let go. Another was a huge tornado that we barely escaped from and I used my body to shield the kids even though I was big n preg and got all cut up.
I have this white coating on my tongue for the most of my life. I have been to the doctor for other things and I know they saw my tongue but they never said anything to me about it, neither did the dentists. I don't know what it is but I'll be sure to ask the doctor again about it, if he can't tell me then I'm going to another doctor.

Twice in the past few days my labrador has stopped eating his dinner midway through and just stood there looking concerned and sticking his tongue out or looking like he is having issues with his tongue, After a few minutes of standing with him reassuring him he's ok he seems to go back to normal, and finishes his tea. I can't find any possible reasons for this on the net, never seen this before, haven't changed his food or anything and he's fine apart from this.
The sides of my tongue has flat linear black patches. Since birth. But there is no pain or any problem.
Is it dangerous?? Should I immediately consult doctor?
Dry tongue is not a symptom. The back of the tongue will be white simply because bacteria lingers back where you can't reach. No stds would cause testicular pain far as I know. In fact, "imagining" is another way to interpret anxiety, friend. Do not worry. You had protected sex. But, I am not sure if the oral was too?
Ugh it's one thing when you ask for advice but when it's unsolicited it bothers me. I have to bite my tongue because I'm a 'know it all'. I've read hundreds of books and articles about pregnancy/birth/parenting and I've put missy of what I've learned into practice. Sometimes it's hard not to correct a new mom (or even an experienced mom) but I just try to imagine how mad I'd be if I got unsolicited advice constantly.

s a white mark with kind of a jagged edge at the top, and is underneath the tongue, like down towards underside of mouth, not on the tongue or lips itself. It's extremely painful to eat or move my tongue around. I'm not sure if it's a canker sore based on the locations and appearance.
Been using Orajel Gel to numb it past two days, but it doesn't do anything, just wears off and is still painful.
During this time I have been really, really sick and I can assure you that I have every symptom under the sun, you just name it..... sore throat for months, fever, rash, yellow tongue, peripheral neuropathy, exhaustion, dry mouth, confusion....and the list goes on and on. I have not slept through one night for 3 months. I am no hypochondriac. Got a busy life and massive responsibilities and don't have time for that.
