Katester- I had sores in my mouth & tongue during tx. My Dr prescribed stalin, it worked. It would clear it up within a couple of days. Avoid eating mushrooms. they're a fungus & it will make it worse.

Hi:) If u are experiencing whitish, velvety lesions in the mouth and on the tongue and if underneath the whitish material, there is red tissue that bleeds easily, then u are suffering from thrush. To my knowledge it is not considered an std. It's caused by forms of a fungus called Candida. A small amount of this fungus lives in your mouth most of the time. It is usually kept in check by your immune system.
It is a white-yellowish coating on my tongue, my tongue also has like red bumps at the back of my tongue, scalloped edges and like canker sores in the edges back deeper inside. I find this really scary!
Has anyone seen anything like that before? Is that an ARS symptom?
My other question is. Have you ever seen or have known about a 28 day combo test (4th generation) negative result changing when restesting in the following weeks/months?

you need to go and be seen to find out what is going on. it could be oral herpes but odds are it's something else going on. canker sores often cause symptoms like that as does geographic tongue. you can google them both for more info but really if you are concerned, see your provider.
My question is after having tested negative for HIV-1 antibodies 2 months after possible exposure what degree of confidence should I have that I do NOT have HIV, and at what point can I be absolutely sure (3 months, 6 months, years?)? Also, my tongue looks normal when I wake up but is still yellow (no sores) by the end of each day. Could the extreme stress of believing that I contracted HIV be the cause of this tongue fungus?

During the massage, I was very relaxed when the girl massaging me started to literally put her tongue on my anus. I was surprised by this and asked her to stop. I proceeded to leave the place. It is two and a half days later and I have a burning and at times itching sensation around my anus. It is uncomfortable, but I don't see anything there. HPV comes to mind and I am concerned. What are the chances? and what else could it be? Anything I can watchout for ?
The other night I was making out with this guy who I like, and I noticed that he had something that felt like a sore on his lip. Later on that night, I gave him oral sex... The next morning I woke up and found that I had a sore on each side of my tongue (they rub against my bottom molars). They hurt and look a little bit like canker sores, but I've never gotten a canker sore on my tongue, so I'm trying to find out if it's something I should be worried about...
So I am still having symptoms, namely tongue sores, chapped lips, rash on penis and rash around anus. Took probiotics to no avail and anti-fungals didn't help.
My GP said he would blood test me again if I want but doesn't think it is herpes.
I wonder if I should go see a dermatologist?
Could an initial outbreak last 2.5 months?
I would really appreciate any comments. I got oral HSV 1 from kissing and the burning, redness, swelling symptoms on my tongue & lips have continued for over 2 months despite being on Valtrex (Valaciclovir) continuously. Has anyone else had this experience? I can only think that as I have Cystic Fibrosis and my immune system is busy with other infections that it can't push the HSV into its latent state???

ve been tested back in January and June for oral herpes, and both times came back negative. I keep getting what seems to be a canker sore on the side of my tongue, and it appears in the same spot. It's happened 3 times in the past 4 months. I'm afraid it's herpes, what do you think? Is it typical to see recurrent herpes IN the mouth/throat as opposed to the lips/face? Please help!
I believe when you get thrush, you get sores underneath and around the white stuff, so I would think it would hurt to scrape it off.
dermatology doc diagnosed it, they did Igm test and feces test. Tongue is an indicator of fungus.

Now at the same time i got a fungal infection in my Groin that is not going away. This time my mouth started to bother me , started with my tongue then i got sores in my mouth last only a day or two then my submental lymph nodes under chin started to ache with some gum aches and the aches are not bad.... when to dentist, ENT said everything is looking fine...
About 10 days ago I started having dry mouth and now have developed fungus on my tongue I am convinced I am positive.
I have had these white rings near the back of my tongue and one on the tip of my tongue for a few months now. I can scrape them off with a tongue brush but they keep reappearing every morning. They don't change location, they're generally in the same place every time. I thought it might be thrush, but I have had two different doctors run fungal swabs and both came out negative for fungus.
