Two days later, 9/26 my tongue was coated white/yellow and the sides of my tonue seemed to be curved and red. I was a little tired and achey but also out walking in the rain.
9/27 my throat is no longer sore. Tongue coloring is still off but not painful. Top and tip of my tongue is tingling a little still colored.
9/28 Top and tip of my tongue is tingling a little still colored. Bottom inside lip feels a little numb and maybe a bit swollen.
I've had a sore tongue for quite a while now and it has been worrying me. I have whitish spots in my tongue and they burn a little bit. It's very uncomfortable. I thought I could have thrush and when I went to the doctor, she didn't think I have thrush and it looks ok, with just a few irritated spots. She gave me a mouth rinse to make it better, but it actually makes it hurt even more, and it usually bothers me more on the side and tip of my tongue.
So, the thing is, this year, i have develop white tongue and red lumps way back at my tongue together with fatigue and i am now developing anxiety and depression because of this. The white tongue and enlarged red lumps on my tongue had been around for about 3 months already but i don't already experience the symptoms i've experienced two years ago. that was my last unprotected sexual activity i ever had which was 2 years ago and not already engage in any sexual activity. please help me.
Hi...I really appreciate all the work that you do on this forum as it's very helpful. I've now had a sore throat for 3 months post my possible exposure. I also have ongoing stomach pains in my gut (cramping) and red bumps that don't go away on my stomach. I started the sore throat about 2 weeks after exposure and it has not gone away and the stomach issues have kept coming. I've had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy and blood work, all ok...no issues.
my throat has red bumps that has gotten better . i also have bumps on back of tongue with a white tongue. I can whipe the white stuff from my tounge but the white tongue comes back in the matter of minutes . wired thing about it is that ive barely felt any pain at all . im a heavy pot smoker that smoke tobaco wraps with the weed .
I was tested negative on third week .My doctor says white tongue is normal and prescribed doxy and metrogyl. But white layer arised on my tongue only after the oral sex .I also have weight loss . From the first day i have not been healthy . I have been with some illness .I hav acquired most of HIV symptoms .Sore throat have been till date . After 1 month my white tongue reduced for 10 days and now it is been more till date . I hav visited my STD doctor more that 5 times .
After being paranoid about having hsv2 after a stupid, unprotected one night stand with a man of an unknown status, I tested negative at 4 months and was treated with antibiotics for a bacterial infection.
A few weeks after being on the antibiotics, I got a really foul taste in my mouth and noticed my tongue is coated in white that won't scrape off, with red spots (not sores). There's no pain, just like a weird feeling on my tongue.
Hello, I went to an ENT a few weeks ago and the strange areas on my tongue were geographic tongue. But my tongue is constantly white no matter how much I brush it and I have been having a sore throat as well. I am not sure why I am so worried. I brought the white tongue to the attention of the MD, but he didn't think much of it. I think it is odd. If anyone else has had any similar experiences, I would love to hear about them. I got white tongue as well which I think is bacterial and perhaps the reason for my sore throat. for some reason my Doctor doesn't think it's serious.
Tests: I had P24 test at day 15 which came back negative with normal white cell count. I also had Antibody test after 8.5 weeks which came back negative. However I am concerned that my immune system may be weakened in this period due to surgeries and antibiotics.
Questions: does surgery and antibiotics weaken the immune system?
I have a red sore on my lingual fraenulum (the muscle that connect the tongue to the bottom of the mouth). It's been there for about a month now, on and off. Sometimes it swells and turns bright red, other times it is kind of white. I'm not sure if this is a severe canker sore, or a symptom of a type of mouth cancer. Please advise!! Over-the-counter options? Health care is expensive, so I'd rather not see a doctor. THANK YOU!!
They are near my bottom lip, and I have to stick my tongue in the bottom of my lip, and press out to make them visible. They don't seem raised, and they don't hurt or itch. About two weeks ago, I had protected intercourse with a girl, but my mouth wasn't protected. She said she has never had any signs/symptoms of anything, and had nothing visible when we were together.
Does this sound like anything? What does a cold sore look like at it's very early stages?
for the past 6 weeks my tongue has been white and I have a swollen Frenulum under tongue, sore throat and inside of bottom lip..." -- are you saying you have also had the swelling and sore throat for 6 weeks, or only the white tongue (and the rest is more recent?) If more recent, like the past week or ten days, you might try taking a Covid test. A sore throat is really common issue with Covid, and a vaccinated person might only show with that as a symptom and nothing much more.
