Ok so i just got my tongue pierced about a week ago it is a venom tongue piercing so its a double tongue piercing. But when it is fully healed (4 weeks) i have to change the bars to a smaller flat-headed post but i dont know where to go to find one i live in Sudbury so maybe somebody knows where to go, and if you do PLEASE comment below and tell me where!? thxs.

This may seem to be a silly questions, but I have a tongue piercing and two other lip piercings. A friend of mind who is HIV Positive gave me something left over that they were eating. Is it possible that I could contract the virus through their saliva due to my piercings?

Your question, as I understand it, is whether or not your tongue is sensitive due to a virus you tested negative for and therefore do not have, or a recent tongue piercing. I'm inclined to say its the piercing...

however I did not notice any copious amounts of blood in her mouth or on my penis, she also had a tongue piercing. I do realize saliva inhibits the virus. I did come down with some burning in my urethra/testicles when urinating, so I'm concerned that my risk of unprotected oral has been increased by possible gonorrhea/NGU infection. Does that have any bearing on this situation? Do I need to test over this?

I got my tongue pierced about a year and half ago, but I have suddenly got a lot of ulcers in around my mouth and my tongue and gums are swollen and i just wanted to know if that had anything to do with my tongue piercing. my tongue piercing looks pretty normal apart from the fact that my tongue is swollen and the end of it is numb and funny feeling as if i've burnt the to of it.

hello again well i wanna start by saying that like about 3 years ago i got my tongue pierced and i started getting light headed and my tongue had lots of pain.but then i found out that the place i had it done wasent a good place of choice. alot people that has gone there has had an issue and i learned about this after the fact ! so should i try it again or not??

I went to professional place and they seemed fine with it but I wouldn't do it on your tongue! Mines got really swollen and I couldn't eat for days.definitely don't wanna starve the baby! I think it just depends.

But I took most of them out now, I only got my Tongue, ears and belly done now, but 3 in one ear (Including a tunnel) and 5 in my ear, and myy tragus (in my ear) and my belly. But they take like 4 weeks to heal and yu SHOULDNT really clean them with Salt Water, because the salt gets stuck and gets them infected you should use Anti whats it called. like TCP! Lol...but if it takes longer than 4 weeks to heal go back to the Peircer. I want my Nipple Pierced. LOL....

That was a good question so I called my tattoo shop guy I get my work and peircings from. He said a pregnant woman is at a higher risk for an infection. Higher risk of the body to go into shock ( reason they tell you to eat a hearty meal before hand ) and at a higher risk for more bleeding and swelling. Anything you get done tattoo or piercing wise passes thru the body. Why you can't donate blood for a year after you get anything done.
