tongue piercing does it hurt

im not sure haha ive never gotten anything pierced other than ears and belly button...i can't imagine it would hurt any worse than a tongue piercing. i mean it hurt but it wasn't unbearable. if you want one you should get one after cole gets here. it was totally worth the pain to me. i love mine. i just hope it doesn't get all weird lookin.

Hi all I recently found a dark red circle on the tip of my tongue. Its about half to 2/3 of a fingernail in size. It doesn't hurt, though it feels tender some times. The colour is like a darker red colour, and its surrounded by an even darker red outline. I have also had my tongue pierced for 8-9 weeks. Is this blotch related to my tongue piercing? and what is this red blotch? what should i do? please help p.

I took my belly piercing off when I was like 6 to 7 moths pregnant It hurt a little bit that's why I tooked off.I don't know if it's bad or not some people say it is but doctor never told me nothing while I hade it on.

i had done it way before i was prego and it didnt hurt to be honest it felt liike i bit my toungue just a bit but it was hard to eat though for like a week.

I just got my tongue pierced 2 days ago and the tip of my tongue feels like it burning, and this morning i woke up with my gums hurting and where your lips attach to your gums on the inside of your mouth is killing me. I have my nose and my bellybutton pierced and they're fine. Is my body rejecting the piercing or am i allergic to it? or is it supposed to hurt this much?

I had to take my belly piercing out cause of the risk of it tearing open when i get bigger but i didnt ask about the tongue piercing. Is it safe to keep it in my mouth since ive had for about 5 years now, hopefully someone can help me with the answer. THANKIESS!!!!

Any time you have a question about a new piercing you should call the piercer. I know a few people that have gotten a hood piercing and was told it hurt like he ll!! I'm sure that it will take up to 5 days to start healing and feeling better. I have my nipples pierced and I remember it took about a week for the pain to subside.

Ok so i just got my tongue pierced about a week ago it is a venom tongue piercing so its a double tongue piercing. But when it is fully healed (4 weeks) i have to change the bars to a smaller flat-headed post but i dont know where to go to find one i live in Sudbury so maybe somebody knows where to go, and if you do PLEASE comment below and tell me where!? thxs.

I got my tongue pierced about a year and half ago, but I have suddenly got a lot of ulcers in around my mouth and my tongue and gums are swollen and i just wanted to know if that had anything to do with my tongue piercing. my tongue piercing looks pretty normal apart from the fact that my tongue is swollen and the end of it is numb and funny feeling as if i've burnt the to of it.

I didnt even know she had one until the middle of kissing,anyway just curious because I was wondering about blood from the piercing and all those crazy stuff,the next day I asked her how long did she have it and she two years,so i guess it should be healed by then huh,anyway still curious.I know they said you cant catch hiv from kissing,hoping its the same with a tongue ring.

There is definitely something that your body does not like. The bacteria is affecting your tonsils? If you think it is the piercing, it probably is. Try gargling with salt water and see if it gets better. If it gets worse, I would get rid of the piercing. One more thing you can try is go to the health food store, one that sells homeopathic remedies, and buy hepar sulph calc. Take it twice a day for three days. If there is an infection, you will start to feel better after the first day.

The safest thing would be to avoid tongue piercing...potential for infection not worth it.. better safe than soory.

i highly doubt it's an allergic reaction to the metal because i've had my tongue pierced at the same piercing place and it didn't give me any problems =( also, if it is my body's reaction to a foreign object, do you think my body will eventually get used to having it there? i really like it and would rather not take it out unless i absolutely have to.

I had recently gone to a local piercing shop to get my tongue pierced. The piercer said I had this white stuff on my tongue and that he couldn't pierce me because of it. I've had this white stuff on my tongue forever. I started to notice it when I was about 11, I'm 20 now. I brush my teeth every day including my tongue. It just won't go away. My tongue doesn't hurt or anything. Should I be worried? How can I get it to go away?

TOO HARSH!!. Yes HP does get rid of dead tissue but IT KILLS HEALTHY TISSUE too, impeding your healing. That's why stuff like that says on their labels "do not use for wounds". YOUR BEST CHOICE is definitely the warm salt water soak. It does wonders for piercings and cleans them very well. BUT if not done right, it can be just as damaging. Use only a 1/4 teaspoon of SEA SALT (very important) to 1 cup of distilled water.
