Has anyone experienced tongue pain? Several months ago I was having pins/needles on the tip of my tongue and way back along the upper part of my throat. Thias subsided for quite some time and all of a sudden the other night I had pain along the bottom right side of my tongue. It felt so strange, not excruciating, just enogh to be bothersome. Last night I had the same pain, but acoss the entire bottom and all the way to the back of my tongue - almost made me feel like I was going to gag.
It’s located on the top layer of my tongue, no visible signs/sores, my tongue looks “normal” but i do have little red dots towards the tip of my tongue. Most of the pain happens in the front rather than the back of my tongue (near my throat). It really bothered me and would persist throughout the day. When I sleep it disappears, but when I wake up it’s there.
Dry tongue is not a symptom. The back of the tongue will be white simply because bacteria lingers back where you can't reach. No stds would cause testicular pain far as I know. In fact, "imagining" is another way to interpret anxiety, friend. Do not worry. You had protected sex. But, I am not sure if the oral was too?
He does not drool and not having body movements or anything else that resembles a seizure. No pain involved and no spasm of the tongue. Student takes Geodan, Trileptal, Resperdal, Prevacid, and Concerta. He is 19 years old. Could this be anxiety related. I surfed the web and could not find any information.

Twice in the past few days my labrador has stopped eating his dinner midway through and just stood there looking concerned and sticking his tongue out or looking like he is having issues with his tongue, After a few minutes of standing with him reassuring him he's ok he seems to go back to normal, and finishes his tea. I can't find any possible reasons for this on the net, never seen this before, haven't changed his food or anything and he's fine apart from this.
Please describe the pain site, Surface topography, localized or diffuse, color, consistency, intact mucosal surface , discolored or ulcerated, swelling or flat, any triggering factor? pain quality, pain duration, What ease the pain? Past medical and dental history ? All these information is needed to establish a clinical working diagnosis.
I have bumbs on my tongue at the end of throat which is slightly white in colour and doesnot have any pain and also Iam feeling difficult to swallow food and water.Feels like something is there inside my throat.Also iam feeling irritation on my tongue and one or two areas where there is slight pain.I think in that area small dots are presnt.The saliva near to bumbs smell bad.My afriad is that I have unprotected oral sex and protected vaginal sex with a sex woker before 5 days.

I have had this happen to me on several occasions. Dead asleep and then this lacerating pain in my tongue, under the left side of the tip, awakens me. I did not think that I had bitten the tongue and it certainly was not sore at the time or the next day. Usually when you bite your tongue it leaves a mark or pain of some sort. I guess these symptoms are a little different in that respect.
Weird things certaianly happen.
Hi, last night I began having a strange type of pain under my tongue on the right side at the base of the mouth - the pain feels similar to a sore throat, but my throat isn't sore. I don't have a fever or swollen lymph glands. Also the pain hasn't gotten worse. I can only feel the pain if I move the tongue up or if I swallow a large amount of food. My throat doesn't have any swelling or redness or whiteness, my voice is still the same, ears are fine and gums are fine.
August 2009 pain in lip and tongue came back and twitching started on both sides. ENT looked at my tongue and said it was healthy but extremely irritated. 2 weeks ago Dentist made me guard to wear at night and day. He thought I was suffering from muscle fatigue because the way my tongue was pressing against the bottom of my teeth. I can make my tongue twitch by pushing on it. Sometimes I can feel it and sometimes not. After I eat my tongue is sore and the tip will twitch on both sides.
I am unsure if this is a dental or medical concern. I have an ever increasing amount of pain and tongue swelling. The pain is so bad I must force myself to eat. I generally don't complete eating becasue the stimulation pain to my tongue becomes unbarable. I wear a dental appliance that is several years old and I clean it in boiling water often.
Recently, the swelling affects my speech because touching in the mouth sends pains through my tongue that are unbearable.

Whenever a doctor suggests surgery which seems unnecessary, please run as fast as you can.
ive got a chest pain right in the center of my chest an inch to the right almost center of my man pecks. a sort of sharp pain occurs when i push my chest out or kinda move my right arm...i just had a bike accident and i kinda hurt my spine and also i just had a surgery on my tongue soo if that has anything to do with it i dont know but for the meanwhile im going to sit it out and see if it goes away. Does anyone have any suggestions or information on what and how to may treat this.
