Hi recently developed a strange taste in my mouth. The taste is bad and it makes me feel like i didn't brush my teeth even after i spend at least 5 minutes brushing them. Recently i have developed a infection to the left side of the base of my tongue.I look like small bums and it burns. I think it is inflamed. Could this infection cause the taste in my mouth? How could i solve this problem ?

The other thing that worries me is whne we were first getting started she was not yet very wet. After rubbing her for a shot while I put my fingers in my mouth to get some spit on them. I did this two or three times. After that she was wet and we had potected sex. I had a small ulcer in my mouth about the size of a BB. It was not bleeding but it was whitish. This is my concern. I have read all over the internet that an ulcer in the mouth can pass HIV. Is thsi true?

My situation: I have geographic tongue (in short: red, sometimes painful spots caused by "shedding," on the day in question I had one "sore" a bit bigged than a pea), and I am not sure how serious this condition is to strength of my tongue tissue's ability to keep viruses out of the blood stream. also I bite my tongue/cheek a lot sometimes causing them to bleed (my tongue had been bleeding earlier on the day in question).

A friend of mine has pink sores at the back of her tongue just on the sides at the back they are small in size and pink in color, they are not painful. In the morning she sometimes has a sore throat. What could it be? Very worried for her.

THe problem is ALWAYS way worse in the morning. I sleep with life savers in my mouth (2-4 of them) to promote saliva during the night. They just dissolve at some point as I sleep. My mouth wakes up pretty white but after sucking on a mint and brushing my teeth it goes back to normal color but cheeks still feel rough. Bottom line - I've had these odd migrating white patches around my mouth (cheeks and tongue).

After brushing my teeth with a paste containing stannousfloride, later in the night I awoke and found as I brushed my tongue around my mouth, I was removing a thin layer of skin from all the surfaces of my mouth except the tongue. Never had this before! Just the toothpaste of something else??

I get a horrible metalic taste in my mouth; as if I can feel and taste the fillings in my teeth. I also get a strange feeling in my throat and feel the need to cough/clear my throat. My tongue also feels funny. The longer I hold/use the phone, the worse it gets. If I put the phone away, the taste/feeling lingers for a few minutes and then goes away. I cleaned the phone with alcohol; but didn't make a difference. I normally hold the phone with my left hand to my left ear.

I severely doubt you have genital warts in your mouth unless you are suffering from something like advanced HIV disease/cancer/another immune suppressing condition. Genital warts in the mouth are HIGHLY rare and usually only occur in sickly individuals who have very low immunity. Some bumps in the mouth are normal, our mouths are not supposed to be entirely smooth. I would see a doctor to put your mind at ease.

ve been to THREE walk in clinics and 2 dentists, all have said that its not hairy tongue, but what in gods name else could it be? Needless to say, when one looks up the causes of "hairy tongue" theres some pretty scary results. I guess my question is - what are these things on my tongue, and could they be caused by the brushing, the mouth breathing, or something more serious?

Its on the bottom of her mouth when she lifts up her tongue and also this paleness is along the gum line down to the place where her wisedom teeth should be.. is this normal? Oh god, pleasse help fast!

it could be due to a nose bleed, biting your cheek during sleep, or something more serious like an ulcer. you should make an appointment to see your doctor if you can rule out a cut in your mouth.

I received oral sex from a women about 7 weeks ago and never had an outbreak but she was a highly risky person because I heard she's been around a lot and made a mistake but today I received a few sores on my tongue is this from that incident and also if it is should I get tested of am I in the clear from not hVibg an outbreak. I have noticed that there is one red bump on my tongue now (looks like a taste bud that may be just a slight bit inflamed or irritated, probalby due to being burnt) and it seems that when I touch that part of my tongue the taste is stronger. It is also stronger on that side of the tongue/mouth in general, so I am thinking it has something to do with that little *******! Maybe the salt taste is due to some secretions from the sore or temporary damage to the taste bud itself, not sure.

I've had yellow coating on tongue and yellow roof of mouth since December. I think I'm somewhat allergic to the meds or something, I dunno. Just keep on truckin', I guess.

My wife noticed a spot on her tongue that was actually painful. My son has had these lumps in his mouth that are similar to what I experience, although perhaps not as raised. I'm very frustrated as I've had all sorts of STD testing via blood and urine. All that ever showed up in one test was positive HSV-1. I've got other health issues going on related to my liver, and recently some sort of urethra infection that is causing some erectile issues to contend with as well.

What causes you to have a soapy, kind of perfume taste in your mouth? It is driving me crazy. Plus, my tongue has been getting sore and swelling. It will turn beet red and get very thick. It is very irritating.

t affect me in any way other than they are there. I can push on them with my tongue, and it feels like my mouth is making like a little popping sound when I do. It's not painful to the tongue at all, and a little painful if I push in with my finger. I don't smoke or drink, and I'm hoping this isn't some type of cancer. Hello, I recently got a small dot of blood on my tongue from a unknown HIV status person, I straight away wiped my tongue on my hand and didn't taste any blood. I then rinsed my mouth with water. Every morning when I wake up, I have this Brown gunk that's in my mouth. It's on my tongue, the roof of my mouth, on my teeth and in the back of my throat. If I drool during the night, it leaves a brown patch on my pillow. It's gross!
