ve been talking to about 5 days ago. This morning when I woke up I noticed I have one very small red bump on my tongue. The color is same as tongue color and it hurts a little bit if pressed. My biggest fear of course would be some sort of STD. As of this moment is just one tiny small bump. I have scheduled to go to doctor in a month when I can get accurate test results for STDs.
Several days ago I started having a bit of pain in the back right side of my mouth. The pain has gotten worse and when I went to put an oral anashetic on the cotton swab came back out with blood on it. I'm hungry but don't want to eat because it hurts so bad and I'm having trouble speaking because my tongue hurts as well now. My throat is slightly sore and it is slightly painful to swallow. I don't feel any swollen lymph nodes.
It is right on the skin that connects my tongue to my lower jaw, so when i move my tongue, it hurts. It started recently, and has been recurring on and off. However, this morning it was at its fullest and largest size. It appears to be clear, with some sort of transparent fluid inside. It hurts when I eat, for it involved tongue movement. I do not smoke, chew tobacco, or anything of the sort, nor have I ever. Looking at it, it has gotten MUCH bigger over time. Should I be worried?
Another thing the dentist suggested to do was dip the tip of my tongue in hot sauce. This worked the very first time and seemed to relieve my pain for a few hours but then it came back and it never worked again when I tried it other times.
After two years of trying the above mentioned things, the dentist finally suggested Peroxyl. It is a mouthwash type thing made by Colgate that you can find probably in any drugstore. I always buy it in Walmart. Peroxyl seemed to be the trick!

You must probably be having CAROIDYNIA (it is a form of vascular neck and face pain in which the vascular change occurs in the carotid artery in the neck). This can be treated with the prophylactic medicines used to treat migraine. Any doubts you are welcome.

I have had really bad back ache every morning more or less for about 8 months
It did go away for a bit when I was given medication from my doctor and then it stopped hurting for two months over the summer. My back feel tight and I can bend over. Its only in the top half of my back where it hurts.
I dont know whether its because of the mattress as its really soft or it could be something else
any help would be great!
Have a small amount of blood coated on tongue & in my mouth 1st thing in morning - no other time. Cough sputum up from chest & this is normal color. Was to dentist in March advised hygenist that I had some bleeding under a small bridge in my mouth - she advised I use water pik on it more - so I did - blood seemed to stop somewhat - but now bleeding again & blood now in the morning which I never had before - is this a dental problem or something else?
I just got my tongue pierced 3 days ago and the top ball is making an indent on the top of my tongue. Where the ball is sitting in the indent it really hurts. And whenever I moved my tongue wrong or move the barbell it sends a sharp shooting pain through the left side of my tongue. Two very red raw spots in the middle near the tip of my tongue. At night while sleeping my tongue gets so dry it wakes me up. In the morning the problem is not as bad and I think today is the day it will go away.....Nope, as the day goes on it gets worse. Normally I go to my dentist every six months for a regular check up. I'm about midway now, and noticed a little bump inside the roof of my mouth. It's stuck to the bone in the middle of the roof of my mouth. I can't see what color it is, but it's covered with skin. It's quite minor, but when my tongue touches it, then it hurts in a minor way. I first noticed the sensitivity a few days ago. How long should I wait to see the dentist? Thank you.

I have not started treatment yet, but my tongue is swollen and feels like it is cracked. This will be my 3rd time to do treatment in the last 20 years, but I don't recall the sore tongue. Any input will be appreciated.

Anyone have a nasty metallic taste on their tongues every morning. I wake up every morning with this awful taste, I've scrubbed my tongue so hard for the last time it hurts like a burn.
i checked in the mirror this morning and there is a large swollen lump that hurts when i poke it, swallow, eat, or anything. it doesn't hurt to breathe, or restrict air flow in any way.
my questions are this:
What could it be?
Should i see a doctor? (no insurance/ very little money. would like to only if it's vital)
Is there anything i can do at home to help it go away?
