Know have swollen tongue like for 3 weeks on the side of tongue. Been looking on the internet and it kinda looks like Oral Hairy Leukoplakia. My question is does it hurts at the beginning. Because when it got swollen it hurt like hell my tongue and then it didn't. Now is still swollen on the sides but it doesn't hurt. Is this Oral Hairy Leukoplakia. I am Hepatitis C positive.

Your tongue issues are not related to hiv but something else.You need to go and see your doctor to find out wants going on with your tongue.Same applies to your scratchy throat.

Yes thrush hurts and is not HIV specific. No tests other that specific HIV test will tell a person of their status. If you have had unprotected anal or vaginal sex then test and you will know your status.

No, geographic tongue is normal, and somewhat hereditary. I have had it for years and have also been tested for HIV multiple times. Plus, my neice has it on her tongue, so more than likely you are ok. You aren't going to get HIV from being near someone anyway, unless you are having sex with them unprotected. Just use protection.
