Hello everyone I have some questions that none seems to be able answear...i've been sufering from geographic tongue (bald patches on surface of tongue) my main concern is: I don't know if these patches are like open windows for other infections to go in like cuts or open sores I don't want to put my self at risk for any other diseases specialy during oral sex...
The bowel problems of diarrhea and nausea after eating and white coating of the tongue may be due to GERD(gastro esophageal reflux disease), acute non-GI infections (pyelonephritis, pneumonia),gastroenteritis,liver diseases, pancreatic disorder,peptic disease of upper GI tract,gastric carcinoma,CNS diseases like infections, tumors, multiple sclerosis and metabolic disturbances like diabetes and adrenal insufficiency.
Similarly white tongue is found in GI and liver disorders.
The sides of my tongue has flat linear black patches. Since birth. But there is no pain or any problem.
Is it dangerous?? Should I immediately consult doctor?

The answer is yes, HSV1 and HSV2 can be transmitted orally. HSV infections can even be in your eye! Most Americans do not know how prevalent HSV diseases are, and are spreading them at an alarming rate.
