Avatar f tn The appointment I have currently, is at Northwestern University (I believe the cancer research center,) with Dr. Steven Flamm.??????
Avatar m tn You can see that some are affiliated with Rush University Medical Center, some are affiliated with the University of Chicago, some are affiliated with University of Illinois at Chicago, and some are affiliated with Northwestern University: http://www.vitals.com/specialists/hepatologists/illinois/chicago Perhaps someone else on the forum knows a specific doctor in Chicago. Otherwise you could look at those in that link above.
Avatar n tn While it is uncommon to have concomitant cancer, there is a research from the University of Chicago Medicine that shows a strong link between pancreatic cancer and the BRCA2 mutation that plays a role in breast cancer. (ref: http://www.uchospitals.edu/specialties/cancer/pancreatic/genetics.html) . Hope this helps. Take care and best regards.
Avatar n tn I actually called to University of Chicago International office as well as sent them an explanation. The problem is that I've no answer yet, but it might be takes a few days to get their reply. Thanks again. I'll follow your advvice.
Avatar f tn Hey - gret minds think alike. I was in contact with the University of Chicago already this week and yes I may see them on March 26. I don't know about me being a study case - but I am finding they seem to want to look over the issues with me and come up with a plan. I also have a friend here in the forum that went to the University of Michigan for her treatment. That is also a possibility - but the distance is alot further than Chicago.
Avatar f tn Hi, I would recommend Dr.Donald Jensen at the University of Chicago.
Avatar n tn Here in the Chicago area, only the University of Illinois @Chicago has such offerings, but they are not highly rated. Neither Northwestern, Rush, or U of Chicago appear to have well recognized ophthalmology specialty services, according to my searches. But I'm going by published ratings for the ophthalmology specialty. Does Mayo have a referral service? Thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn I would start at the major university transplant centers. They usually have websites, too. I think Univ. of Chicago may have one?? Not sure.
Avatar f tn I would look for an integrated practitioner who combines conventional and alternative protocols. Perhaps by visiting the Whole Health Chicago website, you might get a better idea of what this entails. Conventional medicine alone does not provide satisfactory treatment options beyond pharmacological approaches for symptom relief. You may also search here under IWILLDOTHIS, an older relevant thread I started here a while back.

340734 tn?1256586262 campaign and showcase the downtown Chicago buildings that will be beaming TEAL lights to spotlight National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. This is a 30-60 minute gathering to raise awareness among members of the media and fellow Chicagoans - NOCC members are particularly encouraged to help us "represent" by wearing NOCC T-shirts or other teal clothing, where possible! Let's kick this off in style!

272338 tn?1252280404 I am still recieving bids for our hotel plus I have been in touch with the American Cancer Society who was so much help for us last year For those of you who want to come but are worried about hotel finances, many of the hotels I have seen will let you have up to 4 per room. Even if they will only allow 2, I am sure that we can get around that. And those of you either flying in or taking the train, please do not worry as we will make sure that you will have a ride.

504678 tn?1210960698 The best that I can offer is the hospitial in chicago, I think its the university. My doc from champaign told me they are very good. Also do some research on them and the docs. 4489852 tn?1375753951 Last I left everyone I was waiting to hear back from Dr. Frim at University of Chicago because of continuing headaches after my decompressions surgery (no laminectomy, dural graft of pericranium tissue). Well I never heard back from him, so in the mean time I made an appointment with a doctor for my dysautonomia. I went to RUSH University in Chicago today to see a neurologist who specializes in dysautonomia. I brought all of my MRI's and what not with just in case.
19082554 tn?1472035905 My doctor recommended that I go to Northwestern University in Chicago to see a specialist for POTS. But they won't take my medicaid card because it is not through Attna or Meridian. Because of the county that I live in I am under the Illinois Health connect. I really need to find a doctor that will take my card. Can anyone help me.
Avatar f tn Ok then I'll give my thanks to the Univ of chicago!!! As someone who grew up in suburban Chicago I well remember the University and knew many who attented that fine school............it must be a misconception that the Cleveland Clinic handles all these questions.....it's what I always thought.......that not being the case.....again....thanks to Univ of Chicago for offering this service........and your answers alone help many....
