tongue cancer onset

my tongue is like white and like patchy with red little spots/pimples at the back and it like stings/burning sensation? can a doctor check it?

My husband, age 53, was diagnosed with cancer at the base of the tongue 3 years ago. He underwent 7 weeks of radiation therapy, weekly chemo (Taxol), and amofostine injections. Always fairly "air headed", I have noticed a distinct increase in his forgetfulness. There also seems to be subtle personality changes. Are there studies that indicate this type of treatment might trigger early onset dementia?

A few days ago I noticed severral bumps on my tongue spreading all the way back through my throat. They are slightly elevated and soft. It does not hurt to eat, however, the appearance is awful and I want them to disappear. I went to see the nurse practitioner and she said she's never seen anything like it before and that it might go away on its own. I didnt find this information overlly helpful, and was wondering if anyone had any idea what it could be.

Lymph nodes are some what enlarged, there is a palpable mass in the back of neck where the spine meets the base of head. Onset color change in gums, and a soft fleshy like lesion has appeared near tonsil on the right side and is continuing to grow. Also has rapid changes happening to their voice along with 17lbs of unexplained weight loss over a 2 month time span.

It has been 2 weeks and still have burning mouth and tongue and stones that sting when they come up and make me salivate. All this even though I have followed the LPR diet to a T, taken medicine same time every day and elevate head of bed at night. I have always been a very healthy eater, exercise, not overweight and have never had one episode of even heart burn. Is it possible that I have a hiatial hernia from the excessive coughing protruding through my esophagus?

m a 31 year old male and about 5 months ago I noticed 2 bump on the side at the very back of my tongue which can only been seen if I stick it out really far, I went to the doctors because I also had a whiteish or yellow patch on the top of my tongue which they thought was due to gerd (acid reflux) they also mentioned mild thrush and put my on Medican for both (the nystatin did nothing for oral thrush) so they concluded it was acid reflux.

My researching of ventral under toungue comes up as possible cancer etc as it’s more than three weeks. Would tongue cancer start this way or could I just be an infection.

He looked a fair bit with a light, but he examined my throat with my tongue out and diagnosed tonsilitis, suggesting that I may wish to have the tonsils removed if they are repeatedly infected. I discovered after returning from seeing him that it can only be seen when the tongue is in the mouth, which causes the tonsils to lift a little, revealing the formation.

t even drink water. They said it was caused by the tube cutting my tongue. Is your tongue just sore or swollen?

Does anyone know if having a dry mouth, discoloration on your tongue or feeling like u have the crawlies on ur skin are signs of the virus?

Don't know if your reading this stil but I went to ent he looked at it and said this little thing didnt seem to concerned about it and I explained i was worried about oral cancer he said he didn't think it was cancer cause of size and etc but did a biopsy dang that hurt he didn't freeze it he numbed it and used some huge clipper tong things and pulled it out then saturized it ouch i get results in a week still a little worried but he really didn't think it was cancer which helps

and starting from there i had red dots on my tongue , ulcre all over my mouth , canker sores and white tongue and something like back on my cheek plate like a patch and theres like a line between this patch and the tumer which i can feel by my tongue ! and all these symptoms exist till now Had like 6 neative hiv teste last one was 16 weeks after my last exposure I visited a dr today ENT and he seemd surprised and said CT scan then 2 sec he changed his mind to a MRI face and cheeks !!

They were not tested for cancer. At the time I was undergoing a complete thyroidectory for thyroid cancer. It seems strange to have both things going wrong at the same time. I am going to the OB tomorrow - should I be worried about ovarian cancer. I am in a lot of pain on my right side and feel a burning sensation frequently.

It is possible that these nodules are metastases from his base of the tongue cancer. The decision to give or not to give further cancer treatment/s will depend on a lot of things. Consider the age of the patient, risks and benefits of treatment, possible side effects, and end point in making a decision. For now, your father needs the best supportive care he can get. I had a dosage of 125 mCi, 10 days ago, and a thyroidectomy due to papillary thyroid cancer with tall cells. I was also diagnosed with Breast cancer 3 years ago, and had a double mastectomy with reconstructive surgery and I'm doing fine from that but this thyroid cancer has really thrown me because of the Hashimoto's and the depressed hypo state I'm in I'm finder this cancer harder to cope with. And P.S. .....

Hi I was wondering does anyone know if oral tounge cancer can get smaller i have a small red and white spot on tip of tounge like the size of the tip of a pin, but like a week ago it was the size of a tear drop and was a clear gray color and I could feel more of the bump on my tongue then and know I can barley feel it plus it has never hurt .so I was worried it could be cancer I don't drink and have not smoked in 4 years I only use the e cigg so does any one no if cancer can shrink ?

I have had these white rings near the back of my tongue and one on the tip of my tongue for a few months now. I can scrape them off with a tongue brush but they keep reappearing every morning. They don't change location, they're generally in the same place every time. I thought it might be thrush, but I have had two different doctors run fungal swabs and both came out negative for fungus.

if you had thrush it would be able to wipe off and underneath is usually red, sometimes really raw, white tongue is just a sign of normal bacteria getting trapped between the pappillar on the tongue, mouth breathers are famous for white tongue as are people who stress out alot.

I have a skin coloured bump that has been on the tongue for over a month.

Face, chest, legs, arms, but not so much in hands, tongue, or back. Then, 2 weeks ago they quieted down, only to come roaring back in new places last week. Now it's mostly face, arms, hands, and now I've had a couple of fasciculations in my upper back, neck, and I think I saw a tongue fasciculation just yesterday for the first time.

After 5 days my problem has almost gone away but still very mild irritation and sore throat is there. Also my tongue is whitish but can be easily cleaned with tongue cleaner. Am continuously doing warm salty water goggling. Can any one tell what could be the problem?
