she just said everything looked normal in my mouth and there where no swollen lymph nodes anywhere and she looked in my nose and ears and said everything looked normal there too, but my jaw still hurts and so does my tongue im so worried this coukd be cancer i feel crazy and everyone thinks im being irrational but idk what else this all is. could anyone tell me if i could get head/ neck cancer at this age even though i dont use tobacco, or what these symptoms could be.

I noticed a bump smaller than a BB under my tongue and pointed it out to my dentist when I went in for my check up today. She'd done my yearly full jaw x-rays plus the 4 bite wings today and said there is no calcification and that this is a tiny clogged salivary gland most probably just thick stuff. She also said it rolls around and is down where the salivary glands are located. She told me it might remain the same or go away.

Pain below ear/in jaw began about 6 months ago. Tongue pain is recent, ear pain and sinus pain/congestion have increased from allergies but were present prior to allergen exposure. Lymph nodes in neck are perpetually swollen but worse in the last couple months (again, possibly allergies?). Other relevant/potentially relevant info: have reflux for which I am on Prilosec.

I wake up with facial pain and pain my my cheeks and jaw...... Also as i said in my other post.... that my tongue swells up randomly sometimes now.... don't know if there is a connection but i would not be surprised. I am sure that a lot of it is caused by the stressed placed on the body by the thyroid not functioning the right way....

My wife thinks I am out of my mind at this point. I am constantly checking the strength of my tongue and practicing tongue twisters to make sure I dont have any weakness or atrophy. I have no problems eating or drinking. But despite it all I still cannot shake this tense clumsy feeling in my tongue thats stemming from under my chin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Days 1-2: It began with receding gum on my bottom front jaw. Then I realized my gums were also inflamed. The gum inflammation spread throughout my entire lower jaw. Days 2-3: Chills, mild fever that came and went; still bottom gums inflamed and now spreading to upper gums. SORE THROAT developed quickly. Days 4-5: Noticed white bumps on inner bottom lip and then most recently 2-3 tiny painful whit bumps on tip of tongue. STILL inflamed gums, top and bottom. STILL sore throat. What do I have?

I have none of the known risk factors except for being in the small rare group of otherwise healthy young people with oral cancer. I had a hemiglossectomy (they removed about 1/6 of the tongue - right lateral), a flap was taken from my left and a partial neck dissection. The lymph nodes came back clean as did the margins around my tumor. My surgery was 19 days ago. At my last appointment (about a week ago) my team said I was healing rapidly and ahead of schedule.

m now scared that I have HIV/AIDS. I have this weird white patch on my tongue, a cough, my neck(under my jaw) hurts, and I'm convinced I either have AIDS or oral cancer. It's all I think about. Hi, Though mandibular tori are generally(90%cases) seen as bilateral on both side of jaw under tongue but chance of unilateral tori can be considered but any unilateral growth of tissue(both soft or hard) in the mouth should be suspected for tumor or cyst(grow very slowly) and ruled out before taking for granted. A panaromic view of the mouth(OPG) can help best in such case. This can help dictinguish between any cyst, benign tumor or any malignany.

my brother is suffering from sudden shooting pain on left side of tongue while sleeping only since 5-6 months ,pain lasting for a sec. he has no addiction but has extracted a couple of molar teeth.

It is very sad and has affected many members of our family who have and have had cancer. There needs to be more cancer research so that radiation is not the future treatment so others do not have to go through this.

I have severe throat pain on left side mainly underneath jaw and at bottom of throat. Seems to be set off by acidic foods, or swallowing bulky rough items. Up until very recently I was a smoker, so obviously when I discovered the spot on the tongue I instantly thought oral cancer, even though I'm only 27. Ive done as thorough an examination on myself as i could and can find nothing else wrong with my tongue. the prompt care doc saw nothing but since I had a fever (mild) she thought it was viral and told me to give it a couple weeks. As time went on the burning and tingling spread to ear, tongue, jaw, and ironically - only occasionally the throat where it all started. Hello all, I recently found out that my only sexual partner (ever of any kind) has given me the type of HPV that causes genital warts. I've read on this forum that the danger of us continuing to have sex is next to nil since we are both infected with the same virus. But, I'm curious to know what the danger is in developing this type of HPV (or another, as of yet undetected type/strain) orally.

I am trying to avoid looking up the pics online, as they look a lot like jaw cancer. I have all of the symptoms, and even strange bone density of my jaw. I am freaking out, but wonder why the OS isn't as worried. Also, since they would see problems all the time, wouldn't they be more interested in getting me in faster? I am clueless. With all that said, does any of this sound like it could signal cancer? The lump thing on my jaw has me concerned, but I have no idea if its typical of bone cancer or not. Also, with all the CT scans, and with my recent normal blood count, can I rule out cancer? Ive had this uneasy anxiety about having cancer for two years, and I would think something major would have shown by now, atleast in my blood counts.
