I have had 2 bouts with tongue cancer and the removed one third of my tongue several years ago. Almost 11 months ago I developed a mouth full of ulcers and have seen sent, dentist, periodonist. Nothing has helped. My primary Dr finally suspected Sjogrens autoimmune disease and had to wait 3. Months to see a rhuemetologist. He had me get a biopsy and diagnosed Sjogrens.
I had thyroid cancer surgery a few months back and my surgeon was Dr Sara Javid @ Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. She cut a nerve during my surgery and because of it I know have a paralyzed vocal cord. I'm forced to deal with voice,breathing,swallowing & choking issues now because of it along with all the additional medical costs. And I feel sick all the time.
m a 31 year old male and about 5 months ago I noticed 2 bump on the side at the very back of my tongue which can only been seen if I stick it out really far, I went to the doctors because I also had a whiteish or yellow patch on the top of my tongue which they thought was due to gerd (acid reflux) they also mentioned mild thrush and put my on Medican for both (the nystatin did nothing for oral thrush) so they concluded it was acid reflux.
My researching of ventral under toungue comes up as possible cancer etc as it’s more than three weeks. Would tongue cancer start this way or could I just be an infection.
I noticed that I could feel a rough patch with my tongue where the bone had been cut on the lingual side of the mandible. Approximately an hour after leaving the office I was changing the gauze for the first time and the suture came out with it. I returned to the office and had it resutured immediately. The next few days I took the pain meds and rested. On the fourth day the pain was still pretty bad.

My mother is 60 years old, diagnosed in April 2002 with stage IIIC Ovarian Cancer - which a complete hysterectomy and 6 months of Taxol/Carboplatin cured. In 2005, she was also diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (stage 0 - no treatment was needed apparently).
A retroperitoneal mass (originally measuring 8cmx5cm) was discovered in June 2009 - and it was confirmed as a recurrance of her Ovarian Cancer, including lymph node involvement.
Don't know if your reading this stil but I went to ent he looked at it and said this little thing didnt seem to concerned about it and I explained i was worried about oral cancer he said he didn't think it was cancer cause of size and etc but did a biopsy dang that hurt he didn't freeze it he numbed it and used some huge clipper tong things and pulled it out then saturized it ouch i get results in a week still a little worried but he really didn't think it was cancer which helps
A MRI was performed after televisit with a urologist at a Cancer Center. A pelvic MRI with and without contrast was performed indicating no cancer, diverticulum, or cyst. I was referred back to a urologist ,that I had an upcoming appointment with, who examined me and did not feel a cyst or diverticulum either. He performed a cystoscope. It was rough and he had to stretch my urethra to fit the scope in. It was very painful. Nothing abnormal was found.
and starting from there i had red dots on my tongue , ulcre all over my mouth , canker sores and white tongue and something like back on my cheek plate like a patch and theres like a line between this patch and the tumer which i can feel by my tongue ! and all these symptoms exist till now
Had like 6 neative hiv teste last one was 16 weeks after my last exposure
I visited a dr today ENT and he seemd surprised and said CT scan then 2 sec he changed his mind to a MRI face and cheeks !!
biting tongue and inside of cheek when talking and swallowing; extreme tenderness around the crown area; feeling of expansion when warm liquids are in the mouth. Extreme sensitivity to cold/heat/air. Dentist has been very reluctant to remove crown; thinks time will solve the problems. Have been suffering greatly; he thinks there is no infection and won't provide antibiotic. X-rays reveal everything OK. Crown has been sanded 3 times but still feel it is expanding.
It is possible that these nodules are metastases from his base of the tongue cancer. The decision to give or not to give further cancer treatment/s will depend on a lot of things. Consider the age of the patient, risks and benefits of treatment, possible side effects, and end point in making a decision. For now, your father needs the best supportive care he can get.

I had a dosage of 125 mCi, 10 days ago, and a thyroidectomy due to papillary thyroid cancer with tall cells. I was also diagnosed with Breast cancer 3 years ago, and had a double mastectomy with reconstructive surgery and I'm doing fine from that but this thyroid cancer has really thrown me because of the Hashimoto's and the depressed hypo state I'm in I'm finder this cancer harder to cope with. And P.S. .....
Hi I was wondering does anyone know if oral tounge cancer can get smaller i have a small red and white spot on tip of tounge like the size of the tip of a pin, but like a week ago it was the size of a tear drop and was a clear gray color and I could feel more of the bump on my tongue then and know I can barley feel it plus it has never hurt .so I was worried it could be cancer I don't drink and have not smoked in 4 years I only use the e cigg so does any one no if cancer can shrink ?

I have had these white rings near the back of my tongue and one on the tip of my tongue for a few months now. I can scrape them off with a tongue brush but they keep reappearing every morning. They don't change location, they're generally in the same place every time. I thought it might be thrush, but I have had two different doctors run fungal swabs and both came out negative for fungus.
s 12th week from the incident and I had swollen node at neck side. Also I am having white tongue from 3 month. Yesterday I just found out a painless sore in mouth after googling it I am really frightened. Please help me. if I got any sexual infection, will that leads to cancer. As of now I am not on any medication other than just multivitamins.

I am concerned about taking mtx and budesonide concurrently as I had steroid induced psychosis when dx with breast cancer Jan 2003. He said I have some serious decisions to make about resection of strictures but need to put on some weight beforehand. Do you think this treatment plan is correct? Was dx with Crohn's 1970, now PanCrohn's Colitis. I am also taking Aromasin for bc.
I would definitely have it checked this week. Oral cancer can start out this very way. It could be something less serious but unless it is checked you won't know. Time is of the essence and early detection saves lives. If you use tobacco, or ever have used tobacco it increases the urgency here.
About 2 weeks ago my husband noticed some spots on the side and top of his tongue. They seemed to have gone away then the one on top came back just a few days later pretty much in the same spot. Yesterday another one poped up on the border of his tongue. It seemed to get big fast. It looks like a bare spot with a white border but it not as red as the top spot. Could this be geographical tongue or something more serious like tongue cancer? He did visit the dentist and they feel it's GT.
